Should we trade Ed Oliver?
Nextmanup replied to Floridagatorsbuffalobills's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's one of those players who will do nothing for a very long time, then suddenly, finally, make a play...and then he dances around and struts like he's getting 5 sacks a game. This guy sucks, and he's a bust. -
Drafting Has Been A Problem For Decades
Nextmanup replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's not supposed to be a "crap shoot." We spend a huge amount of money, as do all teams, running a huge scouting department. They are supposed to be better than throwing darts at a board, but they're not. -
Hey, 10th from the bottom is still open and the bottom 10 teams are all eligible to WIN the lottery! We can bottom out for Bedard! This was never supposed to be a playoff year for us and we overachieved to get to where we are now. This group isn't there yet, but they should be expected to be there next year. I really wish they would go after some goaltending but I think they may roll with Comrie and UPL next year too. I just didn't like the way they literally QUIT with about 10 minutes left in the 3rd Never quite seen that sort of thing in a Sabres game, I don't think. 2 on 0s, breakaways, total collapse. It looked like a Mites game at times.

Last night sucked. We could have won the game and just didn't do enough to get it done. Period. We also foolishly got sucked into playing their type of game, which is a tactical error. Lots of players passed up scoring chances looking instead for the perfect play. Tomorrow's game is even bigger. We can't lose 3 in a row. The race is probably over already, but a win tomorrow is 100% required if we are going to stay even remotely in a playoff push. And we are coming up against another pair of All-Star goalies in the next 2!

Best friend growing up got screwed out of a State Semi-Final birth

I have to say, it sounds more and more like Rodgers is, FOR SURE, done in Green Bay, and I honestly get the vibe he will be a Jet next year. He is getting wined and dined out at the rich owner's Malibu mansion now...they probably have a harem of hot chicks out there, good food, good wine, good drugs, God knows what....and they are going all in on a sales pitch. The coaching staff is there and they are going to convince him how and why they can do a lot of winning with Rodgers in NJ. He's going to make the AFC East a lot more complicated than it already is.

Per Shefty - Bills “expected to lose” Poyer and Edmunds
Nextmanup replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall
Amen Bro! Thank God Edmunds is going for the cash, b/c I'm pretty convinced Beane and McDermott love the guy and would have retained him if they could. Bills fans are about to learn just how replaceable he is. -
Diggs unfollows Buffalo, follows Cowgirls 🤷♂️

That's where I was for all of last season. That's where I'll be for next season too. It won't get interesting until the first playoff game. -
Is there any defensive player you'd be happy with at pick 27?
Nextmanup replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
No. -
This will not be the time to make up ground! This will be the time to survive and simply try not to have our season ended! Having said that, if we beat Islanders tomorrow, we WILL make up some ground. Have to win tomorrow; tonight against Edmonton is more optional, but I think we will win. We are #3 scoring team; Edmonton is #1! Tonight should be amazing! Will be like '80s Battle of Alberta with the Sabres playing the role of Calgary... Watch for end to end action and a final score of 7-6.

Not difficult decision here AT ALL. At least it shouldn't be. I am pretty sure Beane and McDermott LOVE Edmunds, so for them, it may actually be a tough decision. He needs to be replaced with an athletic guy with speed, that's it. Those guys are all over the place. Don't get a "thumper" type, unless they are going to really alter how we do things, post Frazier. The fact that teams will line up to sign Edmunds, and one of them might even give him nearly $20 million per, does NOT mean he's a high quality player. It just means football guys are idiots. But we already knew that.

I believe we have FOUR games in hand on your Isles. I think we'll catch you guys eventually. We also have a better win percentage. Of course, we have to make good use of those games in hand and actually win. I think we'll win on Monday against Edmonton. Right now I'm taking it one game at a time. I wish we had Tuch back, but that's life. At least we got Dahlin back a bit sooner than expected. It's not how many you win or lose, it's how many you show up for! And he straight up initiated that fight with a lot of passion and detemination. It was the very last punch thrown that caught him on the button. Blood all over the ice too. He'll be OK. Wait until the frigging Buffalo weather will allow Greenway to show up and join the team, presumably tomorrow night against Edmonton. He's a BIG body and plays BIG. He's a great add to the team. Buffalo fans are going to love this kid.

Buffalo voted best city for singles with Cleveland second

Questions for anyone who's done a London game or used Fans of Buffalo
Nextmanup replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't understand the point of making it to London only to watch a Bills football game while there! London is one of the world's great cities and I've been there several times, but if you are going to go to London, do London things--don't watch a frigging American football game! Take in the Premiership at Wembley! Catch an Arsenal game! Do a cruise down the Thames. Leave the Bills for more normal times back in Orchard Park, or wherever you live in USA. -
Bills Rank 9th in NFLPA Team Report Card
Nextmanup replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall
I cannot believe how backward the NFL and Bills' approach to diet and nutrition is. It's like 50 years behind what elite athletes are doing in more solo type sports. Granted, there are a few guys on the team where the nutritional plan is "eat everything 6 times a day" so they can stay a solid 50 or 60 pounds OVER their ideal body weight, which isn't easy...but for most guys on the team not playing on the line nutrition should be hugely important. Instead they are eating wings and fries in a team cafeteria! Why not set up cholesterol IVs and install some smoking lounges. 🤣 -
Daniel Jones wants more than $45M per year on new deal
Nextmanup replied to billsbackto81's topic in The Stadium Wall
He'll get a TON OF MONEY, though may not THAT much money. Sadly, these are the economics of the sport now. He really isn't very good! -
Impossible to say, because I would like to see at least 2, if not 3 new bodies STARTING that are not currently on the team.

Report: Dolphins exploring “moving on” from Tua
Nextmanup replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
The better question is whether or not TUA is looking to moving on from football! He certainly should be. The insurance payout plus earnings to date will be plenty to keep him going. -
Howard indicated he would continue to come on the air (on Tuesdays I think) and do his "Howard Picks the Bills" segment each week during Bill season. Not sure if this is what you meant!
-
Krebs and Dahlin are the 2 toughest guys on the team right now, which is a problem! I love the Greenway acquisition but we need more. At least Adams is open about it and talking about it, so that's a good sign.

So Who will our next DC be? Tracker Links
Nextmanup replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
You are probably going to get your wish. I don't think we are hiring anyone. McDermott will call the plays. -
It's going to get worse; our schedule is brutal.

A DT with our first pick is absolutely in the cards with this administration, until they show us otherwise.
