  1. Couldn't disagree more. I will always say that had that game been played 4 more times for a total of 5, the Bills win the other 4 going away, by big margins, as straight up the better team. We played our worst possible game, the Giants played their best possible game, they got great coaching, we got terrible coaching, and it all boiled down to losing by 1 point...an almost perfect result for the Giants. They wouldn't be able to repeat that again.
  2. Lean on Me
  3. "You know they can't prove whose vomit it was...they don't have the facilities at Scotland Yard." "Never get out of the boat. Absolutely G-D right. Unless you were going all the way."
  4. We're one win in Sunrise, Florida away from making this really quite interesting and fun. I have to believe the kid will be in net, too. Should be a great game.
  5. Forget the "star RB" crap...it's just not needed in today's game. We need a solid OL, which Allen has never had in Buffalo, and more than one elite target to throw the ball to. It's not the complicated. Give him more time to throw, and more quality OPEN receivers to throw to. Imagine that.
  6. Miami needed an "expert" fan to launch a Dolphins-focused podcast. They had to go to Massachusetts to find one... 😄
  7. How about the novel approach of expanding his game by throwing the ball to him a little more often?
  8. Since no one seems to be arguing for the '90s, I'll remind everyone that this is the decade that gave us films such as "The Thin Red Line," "Reservoir Dogs," "Pulp Fiction," "Fight Club," "Saving Private Ryan," "The Silence of the Lambs," "12 Monkeys," "Schindler's List" (Top 5 all time film for me), "Goodfellas" (one of my all time favorites), and on and on... It's also worth noting that the '90s gave us "The Fifth Element" which sure, is a terrible film, but my God, it never gets old watching a young Milla Jovovich (movie was filmed when she was TWENTY ONE) run around half naked for 2 hours. There are great movies and lousy movies from pretty much ALL decades; it's a stupid debate.
  9. Yeah, the days of playing 1 guy all the time are long gone from the NHL. Data shows you can do better rotating in a fresh backup. I think Levi will be ready to play full time for us the season after next... If he advances that timeframe and surprises me, all the better.
  10. These guys stick around the league forever, like an old STD. You can't get rid of them! 😃
  11. As a manual driver, I feel safer now. What is funny about the video is that the idiot not only couldn't operate the car with enough proficiency to get away, he clearly didn't even begin to understand how one MIGHT operate the car. If he had any clue at all, he would have played with the clutch and accelerator and probably lurched forward and stalled it...then maybe tried again, then abandoned the vehicle. The idiot was just throwing the stick around the shift gate and wondering why the car didn't drive away on its own. LOL I'd love to throw these kids in jail for 10 years to think about it.
  12. So are we. We've already set the record for greatest futility in the history of the NHL! And we are going to add another year onto that record this year.
  13. I am a Strat guy; have many of them. I also made my own copy of Ed Van Halen's Frankenstrat.
  14. Strongly disagree with all of the OP's points, except the last one, which may be unpopular around here, but it's the Truth. I would take that last point one step further, and suggest McDermott is a playoff liability; he is a hurdle that the team must overcome regardless of what the other team does. In that way, he's probably good for something like 1-2 losses per season, simply as a result of being our coach. We don't really have a "cold weather" advantage. The Fish for God's sake nearly beat us with their 3rd string QB, and the Bengals (who are used to more or less exactly the same weather) destroyed us on our turf....just this last season.
  15. He is not to be confused with former Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Mike Lodish. Weird that we had two DTs with names so similar.
  16. Not for a lot of Bills fans, obviously! This entire thread is about accepting failure and being happy with it...which many Bills fans seem to not mind doing, by nature. I wonder if it's a WNY thing. I'm a native WNYer and I hate this stuff. Rationalization is a powerful drug in the land of Bills Mafia!
  17. Still waiting for the data suggesting it is more dangerous for a QB to run than stand in the pocket. Are we sure on that? How many guys go down long term b/c someone rolled on their ankle or hit them at the knees, standing still in the pocket? How many miss time because their own lineman stepped on them? Not surprised McDermott would harp on this, as he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Let Josh run; it's the best thing he does. If he gets hurt seriously, we're screwed for that season, and onto the next one.
  18. Excellent post. There has been an arms race going on for a year or 2 now, and we are not upgrading as you mention, while at the same time probably regressing slightly due to constant end-of-year changes. It's also worth noting that in this environment, simply remaining exactly the same means moving backward. I'm sure they felt the same way in Green Bay all these years with Rodgers. Well, they did do it once. I'd take that.
  19. Larry Bird is an all time great. He doesn't necessarily look like a pure athlete, but he was. He would flourish in today's game just as much as he did then.
  20. The no. 1 point of interest for Sabres fans this off-season should be what they do at goaltender. They've passed the buck for a while now but I agree, can't do it anymore and don't want to rush Levi. We need a No. 1 better than anyone we have now, but who will not be here so long and at such cost that he becomes a problem once Levi is ready. I have a hunch Levi will start the season next year in Rochester, play 20 or so games, get a call up, look good, and never go back. It might be just that fast. I can't wait to see what this kid looks like next week when he finally gets in a game for the Sabres. I hope we are wearing the all black goat heads!
  21. Wish list without regard to cap, or reality: 1) Anthony Munoz OT: (aged 26) 2) Bruce Matthews OT: (aged 26) 3) Larry Allen OG: (aged 26) 4) Randall McDaniel OG: (aged 26) 5) Mike Webster C: (aged 26) 6) Randy Moss WR: (aged 24) 7) Jerry Rice WR: (aged 23) 8) Junior Seau MLB: (aged 23) 9) Thurman Thomas RB: (aged 24) That's enough for this year.
  22. Complete with appropriate Bills colors and even some turf on the floor! 😀
  23. So he's got the Bills 5th but has KC behind us; not sure I agree with that. We should be 6th.
  24. 9-2. Well, I guess that miracle didn't happen after all.
