  1. They're going to. NBC decided it has had enough and will be gone after this season. NBC Sports Network is being killed as well. Turner and Disney (ESPN) will step in and both show games now.
  2. Boy, another ex-NFLer dying way too young. Remember Eugene well; RIP.
  3. Ertz would be a great fit IMO. And let's not forget, he and Josh grew up a bit more than 100 miles from each other; they are practically brothers.
  4. Leslie West from Mountain? Dude had phenomenal tone.
  5. Definitely don't want Tocchet, but don't sweat any one or two interviews here. They are going to interview everyone with a pulse and that's a good plan; this is a golden opportunity to get tons of outside information and opinions on how best to proceed for the organization. The entire coaching search is more a consultation session than a hunt for the next coach, who may very well be on staff already anyway. I think there's a great chance Granato is retained as the next "full time" head coach.
  6. Ever notice some Sophias spell their name with the "ph" in there. Other Sofias spell their name with an "F".
  7. Sad news; I grew up in the T of T and have had many hot dogs from Louie's! It was great food and very consistently so.
  8. Bears and dogs, huh? Napoleon is the biggest RAT in history; look into the way he completely turned his back on his own men before and during the retreat out of Russia.
  9. Tyrod is one of many pro athletes these days who will retire a very wealthy man, despite not really being able to play his position very well. It's just the economics at play and the situation teams find themselves in, with not nearly enough good QBs to go around. My favorite example is Fitz, who is going to end up with something between $50 and $100 million in career earnings!
  10. "That's right — 23 turnover-worthy plays, but only 16 turnovers, which was still a top-10 figure among quarterbacks. It looks as though there was definite potential for worse, which was only exceeded by that of Wentz in his abysmal 2020 campaign with the Philadelphia Eagles."
  11. Interesting article. "These aircraft -- we'll call them aircraft -- are displaying characteristics that are not currently within the US inventory nor in any foreign inventory that we are aware of" https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/17/politics/ufo-pentagon-explainer/index.html
  12. Thanks for these; I will start watching each of them soon. I am always on the prowl for new documentaries I haven't seen.
  13. I walk about 3 miles at the beach, almost every day. That's the intention, at least. It's great exercise, the scenery is gorgeous, and it helps clear my head.
  14. Didn't hear about this until just now. I always loved him too. RIP!
  15. The NFL off-season is really long, and the season is really short. Compare this with the NHL season, which lasts forever and has a pretty darned short off-season, at least for teams that go deep in the playoffs. Considering how boring regular season NHL hockey is, and how much better playoff hockey is, I wish the NHL season was short like the NFL, and the NFL season was long like the NHL.
  16. Answer is CHIEFS by a mile. We played them twice last year and were easily handled both times, including being totally outclassed in the AFC championship game. That's our yardstick now. Until we can beat them, we will win nothing.
  17. One win is all any of us need; we just don't know it yet. I base that off of having a very similar lifelong fan experience with the Boston Red Sox, who then won it all in 2004. One win is all it takes to change everything forever!
  18. I'm pretty sure the reason why the Lions have sucked all these years has nothing to do with the absence of live lions at practices.
  19. After 3 or 4 years of high use, the tubular gas port thing that carries gas through the grill and provides all the flame jets just rusted away in a certain area. It prevented the guess from going from the left side of the burner port to the right side, so that I only had 1 of 2 burners that were working. The grill was not usable like that. I was able to order exactly the right part for like $35 at Amazon and fix it myself in 1/2 hour, no big deal. If that part was not available, the entire $350 grill would have gone to the curb, and I would have started over with another $350 grill. Had the grill cost $750 or $1,250 (there are some fancy grills out there), THAT grill would have gone to the curb and I would have started over with another one of THOSE. The other parts I bought were the "flame plates" or whatever they call them; slats of steel that prevent juices running off whatever you are cooking hitting flames and creating flare-ups. Those things just disintegrated in the heat of the grill over time. Had to buy a left one, and then eventually a right one. The grill itself is going strong and is very stable construction. But ANY grill will destroy itself with time; it's a function of the heat. Not having spare parts is crazy and Mickey Mouse IMO.
  20. Buyouts are not part of the current Pegula management portfolio. Haven't been for a while. The days of "I'll dig a well" are long over and money is an issue with the team, as it has been for most of its history.
  21. I was in a small, locally owned grill store down here in FL about 8 years ago. The guy only sells top brands and nice equipment. At that time, he said to me that the industry was going to hell and that the only major brand that still offered spare parts for their grills, so that they could be repaired, was Weber. He said the other big names didn't even offer spares, such that there were all expensive disposable items. I bought a Weber on that information alone. It's worth nothing I have now bought spare parts for it 3 times to keep her running at minimal cost. I have never heard of Kamado, don't know if they have spare parts, or if the information I got about spare parts some years ago is still relevant.
  22. All joking aside, I would like to know the detailed night life events of the key Bills players the night before our Super Bowls, with emphasis on the first 2. I have always assumed our best players were somewhat hungover for those games and in no way fit to play their best game. If only they could have saved the damned celebrating until the season was over.
  23. I did not see this fight, but Canelo is a monster and hugely fun to watch. For my money, boxing all comes down to hand speed. The really elite guys have super fast hands, and even at really high levels of competition, hand speed is what separates competitors. There is only so much hand speed to go around. I absolutely LOVE the Mexican fighters. They are all tough as nails. My other favorite at the moment is Juan Manuel Marquez, who is made from the same cloth as Alvarez.
  24. Looked good to me. For the record, super short shorts like this that reveal a portion of the wearer's butt cheeks are quite common practice where I live in Palm Beach County, FL. I have often noted and laughed at the 14 year old girls doing this, while walking next to their mother through the shopping mall, etc. Young girls do it, teenagers, girls in their 20s or 30s... They all do it. Along with the switch to the thong bikini at the beach (now very commonplace), it's one of the best fashion trends I've noticed in years.
  25. I personally think Josh Allen was enormously benefited by empty stadiums all last year. It helped calm things down and make things feel like a routine practice session. This year that is going to change and we have to see how it impacts his performance. He has a tendency to go into panic mode when anything can happen, and it's usually bad. So anything that can be done to keep him out of panic mode is important.
