  1. Already on my DVR along with a bunch of other games this year, not to be deleted any time soon!
  2. I would say something like that is incredibly rare. I do remember one last minute drive, where the Bills needed to get down the field and score. The QB made a stupid throw to Fred Jackson in the center of the field which would have consumed so much clock (catching and then being tackled inbounds) that Fred very alertly just batted the ball down for an incompletion in order to save precious seconds on the clock. That was a really intelligent play, and extremely rare IMO.
  3. I've said this for years, particularly in the context of NHL hockey games, but... They should air a second broadcast of the games with all the real time, on field audio they can possibly get, and no announcers. The reality of what is said on the field (or ice) is so much more interesting and immersive than listening to predominantly bad announcers repeat the same old bad announcer talk. It's a layer of the game totally eliminated from the viewer's awareness, most of the time. And imagine if they showed a camera angle where you could see ALL down field routes/defenses, on every snap! WOW!
  4. No. 1 on either list should be Freddie Mercury, and I'm not that much of a Queen fan. Can't believe no one has mentioned David Gilmour as a singer yet! He should also make the list as a guitar player; what a talented guy. Also, good call on Brad Delp for those who mentioned him. I'd put him way up high on the list of rock singers.
  5. We aren't going to need to worry about the 5th year evaluation process; he won't be re-signed.
  6. I am only 4 inches, 50 pounds, 13 combine reps, and a 1.5 second decrease in my 40 time away from being an elite NFL wide receiver. CRAP
  7. What do you think? Does he look like a natural "RICK?" I'm not seeing it.
  8. Can you imagine if we lived by this type of standard in WNY? Excellence is to be expected and when it is not delivered, we are mad. Wow, can't imagine that in WNY! And if we actually got that, 90% of this board would be furious, attacking the Buffalo News or whoever was saying it, and trying to offer protection to the coach/team/organization. 😂
  9. I don't like it only insofar as it moves us one step closer to a world where "sports talk" is synonymous with "gambling talk" and I have ZERO interest in gambling, point spreads, fantasy teams, etc... It's getting to the point where sports talk radio can't go 10 minutes without making some type of reference to some aspect of gambling or fantasy sports--and I hate all of it. I'm amazed at the lengths some of these guys will go to to ramble on about their personal fantasy sports team situation, as though anyone in the world would care but themselves!
  10. The evacuation zones are only for those living really close to the water. I live about 3 miles from the coast and we are beyond the furthest zone, meaning, we will never have to evacuate. Living like this is ideal IMO; I would not want to be right on the beach or east of the intercostal anyway. Nor would I want to live way out where it takes a half hour to get to the beach. Naples is a nice but small area. There are places all over where the OP can find some happiness without it costing a fortune. In my area the property values are only going to keep going up; we are like NYC south now.
  11. If we don't have that, it's only because we blew it. I think that is exactly where we end up, and that's fine. We need to play our best football of the season and take it 1 game at a time. When the smoke is cleared, I think it will be KC and Buffalo in the AFC Championship game, again...just as Las Vegas has predicted all season long, going back to August. We're still the 2 best teams in the AFC and have the 2 most explosive offenses.
  12. I swear to God, it's like some of these people aren't aware there are other teams in the league.
  13. The cheap areas to live are inland and further north, where the state changes dramatically and becomes the southern most reaches of the deep south. I wouldn't live up north for all the tea in China, but everyone is different. I'm in Palm Beach County, which is sort of the northernmost development of southeast coastline. Not very far from here, inland or north, you can find pretty cheap housing. Look at places like Stuart or Port Saint Lucie...they are not that far north of where I am, but way cheaper. They also aren't nearly as nice and have a redneck feel to them, but that is for everyone to figure out on their own and you might love it there, or at least not be bothered by it. The weather is the same there! If you are serious about moving to FL, you can make it happen if you want to. Don't forget too--no state income tax here.
  14. If you must travel domestically, I would suggest any destination involving America's gorgeous natural wonders. That is where this country shines IMO, not in cultural destinations or cities. I'm talking about Grand Canyon, Redwood Forest, Yosemite, Yellowstone, the rock formations/desert of southern Utah (some of the most gorgeous terrain on Earth), etc...stuff like that. Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah:
  15. You're reading the thread in the context of the Bills having won their biggest game in several years, and with it looking like we are an easy AFC East winner this year. The doom and gloom was written a few weeks ago when things looked much darker. This board tends to overreact and base its opinion exclusively on what happened in the last 10 minutes.
  16. Pretty sure this is now the 3rd thread saying the same thing. Dan Marino was the greatest pure passer this league has ever seen, and I would sign up for him to be the Bills QB, in his prime, in a heartbeat. (If I had a magic wand). His release is just unreal.
  17. He's a writer. What do you do for a living? Sully is a hell of a writer with a national reputation. You wouldn't know that reading Bills fan comments at this forum, however. It is hilarious how much he lives inside the heads of some Bills fans though, including, apparently, yours.
  18. It's real. There are a LOT of people who speak like that in New England, and a lot who don't too!
  19. "He's got a raaaag arm; the other guy threw the ball all over the paaaaaaaak". I love this guy; he has a lot of passion.
  20. Trap games don't exist. I mention this fact somewhere on the board every week. People love to keep talking about them though, kind of like Big Foot.
  21. I thought the "suplex" move was very deliberately ill-intentioned. Should have gotten a 15 yarder on that. I thought they were trying to get that type of cheap/intimidating crap out of the game.
  22. A lot of us have been calling for McDermott to go "Foot to the floor" for a long time. It's like the message has slowly sunken in, and this is a good thing for Bills fans. I want to see us follow up with strong, decisive wins these last 2 weeks. And then it's a whole new season in the playoffs, with the Bills hosting a playoff game and having all the momentum. We might even get to play NE again!
  23. Hey, maybe Buffalo vs. New England is about to be turned into a real rivalry. Give them a taste of their own medicine with the Brady domination. This reminds me of the Bills, when we finally beat the Miami Dolphins in the '80s and then turned the tables on them, dominating throughout the Kelly/Marino era, after having been owned through the '70s.
