Salary cap is the answer to the question.
-
Yes he did. It seemed like he always got a couple yards (or more) more than he should have, just based on pure determination and "hard running."
-
I actually heard it quite clearly and laughed, as they obviously had a microphone right down there behind the end zone. I immediately hit rewind on the DVR and watched 3 or 4 times. That's exactly what he said--he was pointing at NE fans going down the line in the front row as he said "you, you, you" repeatedly.

I have mentioned this precise thing several times today in a couple different threads! Yes, there are a TON of simulations that have us playing NE in the playoffs. I would take that matchup RIGHT NOW if I could sign up for it. We are straight up the better team. I said we'd win today and I said so right after we lost the "wind game" on MNF. We're better, we have the better QB by a mile, and as we saw today, even leaving at least a pair of TDs on the field, we still won with comfort.

Keep stretching and stay limber. We may need you.

This was our best performance by offensive line

It was a solid performance, and maybe "best" among quality defenses... But we had even better games early in the year in some of the blowout games IMO. -
This is going to be a big time injury with huge amounts of down time. The OL situation just got that much more strained.

Yes he did! Yeah, he is definitely a chippy kind of player.

NBC Boston: Bills are done, Pats make them lick dog *****
Nextmanup replied to Motorin''s topic in The Stadium Wall
As poised as he has been this year as a rookie, it is just plainly obvious that he is physically limited in certain ways. A starting QB in the NFL cannot be physically limited. He's giving BB what I think BB wanted out of Cam Newton last year (steady, reliable play) but ultimately it's all so LIMITED. His ceiling looks like "serviceable game manager" as you point out. -

Jerry Sullivan actually commented on this a while ago; suggesting he (and them media) played a role in the Bills SB run, as the team had to prove something based on the media bating them. Or something like that. We may all owe Jerry a thank you; he also needs to keep tweeting Bills loss predictions! LOL -

Keep in mind lots of simulations have these 2 teams meeting AGAIN in the playoffs. That was with either team winning today and winning the division (under different sets of circumstances obviously). I would LOVE to get a NE matchup in the playoffs; we are the better team and their QB doesn't scare me. -

When they came back after the 2 minute warning, they did a zoom-in on the upper deck ramps. FILLED with a mass exodus of fans. It was one of my favorite parts of the game.- 506 replies

How about that mass exodus they showed when the game came back after the 2 minute warning! They had that closeup camera shot of ramps, and it was FILLED with people heading out the door. One of my favorite moments in the game today.

This was as solid a team victory as we've had in a while. Tremendous victory....and now the AFC EAST is just waiting for us TAKE IT. Here's hoping we get another piece of NE in the playoffs!

GDT: Browns @ Packers, Christmas Day, 4:30 PM Eastern
Nextmanup replied to RiotAct's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think both could, actually...but they would need to get substantial help along the way, or there would need to be some special circumstance that allowed it. It would be unlikely. I thought it was a penalty FOR SURE. The defender *slightly* impeded the receiver's ability to initiate the break and come back for the ball, and that is exactly what created the space for the defender to be in the right place, the receiver to be in the wrong place, and for the defender to catch the ball instead of the receiver. Slight advantage gained, but that's still enough to make it a penalty all day long. The problem with this league is some times they call that, some times they don't, you don't know which call you'll get, and they are not even consistent within the same game with the same group of officials. It's a mess and has to be one of the leading problems facing the NFL. -
...but that nickname! It's world class.

I would have settled for acquiring some help which could be defined as "moderately serviceable" at this point.

Showdown with Pats is a judgment day for Sean McDermott, Bills
Nextmanup replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
I always liked Chan Gailey. He had a natural knack for good offensive play calling currently lacking on the present Bills coaching staff. He wasn't head coach material, mind you, but most head coaches in the NFL are not. And he is a good man to boot! -
I have no idea what you're talking about, but OK. Enjoy the game!

Bills at Patriots: Predict the Score

Who has the 14 and who has the 13? That matters when it comes to predictions.
