I don’t think Allen will ever clean up that part of his game. It’s in his DNA and I think that’s what makes him great. Sometimes you have to take the good w/ the bad. I could be wrong, but he’s going on his 6th year and I doubt it anything will change drastically.
Gabe Davis will rebound and Shakir is more experienced. Kincaid is a pseudo-WR and a great addition. I think they are gonna be better than what the media thinks (which I could really care less.)
Burrow has a better supporting cast than Allen. I don’t really care what the media thinks. If it came down to putting it all on the line for a game winning TD on 4th down, I’m taking 17 every time. Burrow did not have to deal w a UCL injury last year either.
That’s a myth on this board. Allen, Oliver, Elam, Edmunds, Tre White, Singletary, and Rousseau all started their rookie seasons and those are off the top of my head.
Thank you. Beane built the 2nd most talented roster in the Bills existence and people want him on the hot seat. People really want to start from scratch in Allen’s prime years.
How u gonna subtract both the 1st & 2nd picks ? The draft is the way you address your weaknesses. Beane added some great pick ups in FA as well. Some on this board really took that Cinci loss badly. This is still a premier team and there is absolutely no way in hell they finish 3rd in the division, that’s pretty ridiculous. Buffalo is the class of the AFCE until the Jets or Miami takes the division (which they both haven’t in well over a decade.) Winning Free agency doesn’t = winning games.
Chiefs are gonna have the throne until proven otherwise. Buffalo also have the Jets to worry about now who certainly have SB aspirations if Rodgers returns to MVP form, I’m not convinced he is finished based off one “bad” year (still threw for 26 TDs.) The AFC is so stacked that 5 or so different teams have legit reason to challenge for the title. It’s going to be a gauntlet. I refuse to put all my chips on Buffalo after they broke my heart last year and the year before. I think the rejuvenation of the O-line will be the key to winning a SB. Love the Kincaid pick, but they always have Knox to fall back on. To me, Torrence is going to be the true X-factor and most important rookie along w/ Bates’ progression. If those players can both play at a high level then the sky is really the limit for this team. You give Allen strong protection and an above average running game it’s over for the rest of the AFC. That’s too many “ifs” for me to place them as the favorites.
I feel like Allen will start breaking (edit:passing) records in his later years. Forgive me if someone mentioned this, but his rushing TDs/yards are going to eat at his passing ones every year until he slows down (that’s not happening anytime soon despite what the coaches want.) Now he can definitely break a total TD record!
Based on the way Beane plays rookies along w/ Knox stealing snaps it is perfectly reasonable to not have huge expectations. Nobody is telling u that u can’t have an opinion, but take the past into account. I hope i am wrong
Agreed. People need to temper their expectations based on this reason alone. Although That’s actually a pretty good stat line as a #2 TE and would show Kincaid is getting the most out of his opportunities.
Idk. I’d consider going from the 20th rated prospect to being the 2nd overall player drafted as a considerable reach especially coming out of a college football powerhouse like Syracuse.
Aaron Maybin is in his own category as far as draft reaches go. 😂
