  1. This. With the way Allen plays, I think the Bills will always be in the market for a top notch backup, IMO. Who else would you trust to go .500 in the event an injury happens besides Trubisky who is entirely capable of running this offense? Fromm & Webb are 3rd string camp bodies at best. Trubisky isn't worth the 4th rounder he most likely would command, anyways. Best keep the roster the way it is and hopefully sign him to a top-level backup deal after the season.
  2. Yeah, after 20 years of trying to find a good QB, the Bills have somehow found 2 in the past 3 years. Praise Beane!
  3. Welcome to the NFL, rookie. Agreed. Reverse the roles and this board will light up on fire.
  4. Just watching the replay now and Kumerow TOWERS over Hollister, a TE. I know it's a dead horse, but I really hope they get this guy involved as at LEAST a RedZone threat this year. His physical frame combined w/ his fluidity and (so far) decent hands, I can see why Rodgers gave him the seal of approval.
  5. IDK, he's a 7th rounder in his first ever training camp. Although he showed flashes, I'm not surprised at all.
  6. If both were in their prime...who would win in a fight?
  7. That's true, but there's levels to it. The best example I can use is someone like Terrence McGee who was probably IMO the best #2 CB we've had (and kick returner.) A guy best suited having a shutdown guy like Clements/White on the field w/ him, but could also line up at #1 in a pinch. I'm fine w/ Levi as the roster stands now, but as OP pointed out, that roster is pretty pathetic when you take Tre White out of the equation. I'm a heck of a lot more comfortable w/ Wallace than Norman, though. I saw him blanket DeAndre Hopkins in the endzone along w/ make a game sealing pick against the Steelers. Bills fans need to realize we could also do much worse. 👍
  8. Norman was picked on quite a bit from what I remember especially by Rivers in the playoffs. I might of worded my first post wrong.
  9. Yes, but not somebody washed up like Josh Norman. That experiment failed horribly. I really don't know who would be a good fit to be honest. It's too bad Sherman turned out to be a nut case.
  10. How about some good ol Cannibal Corpse lyrics. They're even Buffalo natives. 👍
  11. I was all in on Mayfield until he went #1 and then I just didn't really care who they picked. I trusted the judgement of the FO. I wasn't on the Lamar train, though. I wanted a pocket passer. I'm a fan of the team and once a player puts on that uniform, I'm a supporter. You're right that people live & die w/ their pre-draft picks and Bills fans (and Western New Yorkers in general) DO have an inferiority complex. We're all in the Shadows of the big markets/big cities.
  12. With the sheer amount of hype Buffalo is getting, I'm getting really nervous. 😣
  13. I never thought of it that way, but it makes sense. Kind of like the 18-1 Pats were easily the best team of that whole decade until Eli crushed their dreams.
  14. Tebow was his own worst enemy. If he was more low profile, he might still be latched on some team as a cool dual purpose backup QB/package player like Jason Hill/Seneca Wallace. Teams just didn't wanna deal w/ the "Tebow-mania" headache which I understand. He's a victim of his own legend. That Denver run was truly magical, though and no one can take that away from him.
  15. As I wrote in an earlier post, by putting the Chiefs at #1 means you put them in the Superbowl. The odds are against them making 3 in a row as only 3 teams have done it ever. I guess it is hope, but there's some decent evidence behind it also.
  16. The fact that he is going on his 6th season in the NFL is one serious mind **** Then again, I could say this for a lot of other players. What a joke.
  17. I won't lie, I'm pretty disappointed. I've never seen a player get as much undeserved hate as Tebow. I wanted him to make the team, have a semi productive season, and retire w/ dignity. I guess a piece of my childhood died when I heard this news. His Florida years got me into college football permanently. Good luck & God bless you, Tim. 😇
  18. Yeah? So was Bruce Smith. Would he be the all-time sack leader if he didn't play for 18 years? No, but that doesn't matter. Health & longevity are as equally as important as any other physical skill set and should ALWAYS be considered when discussing a players overall ability. 💯
  19. Myles Garrett on defense Or George Kittle on offense.
  20. The first one is on the coaches for sure. A team like KC isn't supposed to run allover people like that and adjustments were badly needed, they held on for a little while, but the Chiefs had full control from the beginning. The AFC championship (to me) was a combination of borderline illegal defensive contact by the KC DBs, an injured Diggs & Beasley, and poor offensive line play. Those are the Big 3 for me. Coaches coach, but players must execute. The Bills were the away team and they had too much going against them. Fortunately, they are becoming a seasoned playoff team and the next time around the spotlight won't be as bright.
  21. Mike Glennon is light years ahead of both of them especially Geno. He's proved himself as a viable backup. Looking at his career stats, they aren't bad at all. Funny because he was a guy I was really high on pre-draft. He's got a cannon.
  22. The Titans are a team on the rise and I'll go out on a limb that it will be them and the Bills fighting for the number 1 spot. The NFL is an unpredictable beast and I just don't see the Chiefs as front runner anymore. They were exposed badly by Tampa. Not only that, they have to break in 2 new tackles and you better believe that Frazier w/ an upgraded D-Line is going to send the house. After 2 Superbowl appearances, the odds are stacked against them to make a 3rd one. In fact, only 3 teams have made 3 or more in a row (Bills, Patriots, Dolphins.) 1) Bills 2) Titans 3) Chiefs 4) Browns 5) Ravens
  23. Well, the Baltimore Ravens beat the Tennessee Titans who beat us and we beat the Baltimore Ravens so how exactly does that work? It's strictly about matchups, my friend. Unfortunately, KC is not a good one for us, but that doesn't deter me from agreeing w/ OP on them taking a SLIGHT dip next year. 👌 They aren't "paper tigers," but I think they are overrated af. Brady and the BUCS defense laid a vicious beating on them that I don't think they will forget anytime soon + the tape is out. Pressure Mahomes (like most quarterbacks) and you'll see him fall apart. This is precisely what Beane & McDermott had in my mind during the draft & free agency. Shame we couldn't land JJ Watt.
