This reminds me of "The Merriman Experiment."

Why’s Allen not getting peterman like treatment?
DRA3196 replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even with Barkley out there yesterday. I had little confidence that our offense could mount a comeback. I kept hoping Josh would come running out of the tunnel. Would have made for a great movie. Especially if he led us down the field for the go ahead TD. Josh is the QB of this franchise, until he proves to be inept. He isn't inept he is young. One game does not make a season.....or a career. -

Maybe we miss Jordan Mills?

Not all rookies start right away and excel. Regardless of the position. Overreaction Monday is in full swing. -
I was looking for the draw and screen game too. Jet sweep, reverse, end around. all of those things were missing. Clearly we missed Motor. Solid observation about Yeldon. He did cause problems for NE. That 2nd half opening drive was fantastic. The tools are there for it to be a good offense. Just need more consistency. That group has only been together for 5 weeks. They will put it all together eventually. might take half the season though.

The team overall has to be furious with itself. A golden opportunity slipped through their fingers yesterday. The season is still young and young players take time to develop. The offense is going to take time to develop. Thankfully this isn't the only time we get to play the World Champs. I have a feeling our young gunslinger will have learned a lot about the game by the time the two teams face off in Foxboro in Dec.

Josh Allen - week FOUR report card
DRA3196 replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like McDermott said at the post game presser. Josh has to learn to take what the defense gives him. It is way to costly when he tries to do too much. I am just chalking up his performance today to growing pains. He will learn what to do and when to do it. Loved the fact that Daboll was seen in his face today. He needs to be called out and held accountable. The team goals are bigger than his personal "wants". I believe he will learn. and I do believe it might take most if not all of the season. -
Josh Allen - week FOUR report card
DRA3196 replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
BB has made a lot of QB's look futile during his tenure in the league. Daboll should have tried to keep Josh out of some of those plays. Allen's execution on the opening drive of the second half is a perfect example. And like you I am very curious How Josh would have finished that game. -
I have to throw ALOT of shade at Daboll too. As JA demonstrated in the 2nd half when he went 6/6 and scored the TD. On that drive it was with short passing concepts in no huddle mode. Why not employ that part of their offense earlier in the game. Like at the beginning? Also Gore was running through their d-line all game. If we are successful at rushing, why not keep it going until the patriots stop it, especially after the first INT and multiple sacks. It was evident Josh was holding onto the ball too long and the o-line couldn't contain NE's pass rush.

I agree, Edmunds, like the rest of the defense played lights out. Glad he stepped up and played so well he had been fairly quiet in the other 3 games.
-
Foster hasn't been on the field to demonstrate his inability to help the offense. I like Foster's speed and our offense can always use it. I would release Zay before Foster.
-
I am all in on signing Duke to the 53 and releasing Zay. I know he is a 2nd round pick but his lack of production is highlighted by how productive Brown and Beasley have been in such a short time.
-
Post game overreaction is strong with this one...
-
Frank Gore.... He is proving that at 36 he can do anything.

Today Zay Jones sucked, Lee Smith sucked. Our entire punting unit should be let go. Yes Punting was a negative for us today. Barkley's best pass was his first pass to Brown. The Patriots are very vulnerable and Brady is scared of our defense. Not sure why we didn't run the ball more, especially when Allen determined today was Christmas. McDermott needs to improve his challenging "process" as it was flawed today... OK on too TN. -
I hope Dab's and Frazier pull out all the stops. Ed Oliver was drafted this year with Brady in mind. Brady has always been susceptible to pressure up the middle, and because he isn't able to escape the pocket, he looks to step up in the pocket when receiving pressure off the edge. The Bills need to play "Ball Out" Sunday. I have no doubt the Pats are thinking "same ol' Bills". I know the team has the desire to beat the Patriots, on Sunday the team has to show they have the ability. A win and the Bills will have a ton of street credibility throughout the league. Lose and it is on to a winnable game against Tennessee next week. Lets Go Buffalo!!!

You play coordinator. What's your game plan for Sunday?
DRA3196 replied to billsbackto81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On offense I would really spread them out. 5 wide. 4 wide with a back motioning out of the backfield. If BB wants to blitz what Daboll did against the Jets will work. Attack the edges when running the ball. I hope Felliciano and Singletary are available. switch tempo. go no huddle sometimes. go deep early and often. Would love too see Brown and Foster on the outside Beasley and Mckenzie in the slot, singletary in the backfield. On defense blitz Brady up the middle. punish the ball carrier, gang tackle. Edmunds and Oliver could be nasty against this beat up Pats o-line. The ends play contain and force Brady to throw over them. Push the line. at the pre-snap all the defense in tight on the line of scrimmage. Lots of pre-snap motion by the backers and safeties bothers Brady. If we are more physical than the patriots, win the turnover battle, and control the time of possession. We should be right in it at the end. -
He like the rest of the d-line will need to be stubborn this week. With the injuries to the Patriot's receivers, NE will look to run the ball down Buffalo's throat

WR Quincy Adeboyejo Visiting Bills, per NFL.com

due diligence at work. Big kid with big time speed..with him and Duke on the practice squad could make for interesting conversation, maybe late in the season or next season. -
What will happen if the Bills do win this weekend
DRA3196 replied to Billsfanatixs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The team will simply be 4-0 with a game scheduled against TN the following week. As a fan I will be as excited as with any win the team has had so far this season. If it was for a playoff spot, homefield advantage, a bye, it might hold more urgency. It is exciting because it is a division opponent.
