Josh Allen: Beyond the field (story)
DRA3196 replied to BillsFan4's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Football aside, this young man is a great human being. I am glad that he has been brought in to lead this franchise and represent this organization. -
Jordan Phillips now leads all Defensive Tackles in sacks....

I think it is fantastic. He is playing at a very high level and should be getting a pretty big payday to stay in a Bills uniform. -
Can't help but be excited by the room for improvement on D
DRA3196 replied to BillsBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We have a lot of money wrapped up in our d-line and I don't think we are getting the appropriate return on investment. Although Jerry isn't getting results, he is not alone We need more sacks, more QB pressures and more TFL than we are currently seeing, week in/week out. -

I am so excited about this kid. I thought he killed Haskins with his hit..VICIOUS. -
Wish the young man and his family nothing but the best. There are worse situations in the league he could be going into. I was hoping Peko would be a difference maker for us, to bad it didn't work out.

The problem with the Browns in a nut shell
DRA3196 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Creating a Madden roster doesn't equal success in the NFL. Winning the offseason doesn't mean a thing when the games count. The Browns would be a much better team if they could get Joe Thomas too come out of retirement -
1. I think he is learning to play the game at this level 2. I think he has hit the preverbal "rookie wall"

Josh Allen - week NINE report card
DRA3196 replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am happy with the way JA is progressing over all. I especially happy with his overall production in the 4th qtr. I would like to see the gloves come off when we have a 10 point lead at any point of the game, to see what Josh can do. Josh I making plays moving the ball and learning what it takes to play winning football. I hope his progress continues and he can get some invaluable playoff experience at the end of the season. -
I would really like to know is it Daboll shutting down the offense or is it McDermott's conservative philosophy that has the offense going into a shell when we are up by 10 or more. I don't get it and I really don't like it.

Terrible signing of Star. Great pick up of Taylor. Man football is a weird sport. Run defense looked like a huge dumpster fire. great adjustments at halftime. I don't understand how we can go into a shell on offense and defense in the 3rd qtr. where was Beasley in the 2nd half? Gore looked slow today (maybe its the cold). Josh looks the most comfortable when the offense is wide open. playing conservative is NOT a strength of this team. A win is a win. on to CLE. The Bills beat Vegas already with their 6th win. 6-2 looks great. -
Although this is a great story. I am more concerned with how our offense responds after last week. The offense needs to come out strong and demonstrate they can execute at a high level against inferior competition. The defense should have a great game, but if the offense takes care of business we should win this game running away.

Philly fans really are the worst
DRA3196 replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have been to Philadelphia for other sporting events besides football and yeah I have to agree they are the worst fans imaginable. Rude, obnoxious, vulgar. Much more so than even patriots or cowboy fans. Thank god we only have to deal with them every 4 yrs. -
I am all for the team winning it all this year but lets be real. The "process" isn't complete and it isn't all about this year. Defenses will have bad games and offenses will struggle at times. But I would like to see this team finish strong and make the post season if for no other reason than gaining the experience. We have some very talented young players that need all the experience they can get this year, as the team continues to grow and develop.
-
This offense has all the physical tools it needs to succeed. It needs chemistry and time to develop. We have 4 new TE's this year. How is adding another one at this point of the season going to help?
-
Good stuff! Unlike most I am ecstatic that the offense is a methodical controlled machine. Do I want to see JA chucking it all over the field? Absolutely, but we are not there yet. I look forward to the creativity with which the offense converts 3rd downs, resting our defense. The amount of composure and patience it takes to march down the field 1 down at a time is great. Nor am I down on our schedule. the teams we are playing are allowing our offense to gel and grow. Giving our young players not only experience but also allowing them to gain confidence. it is all for the future, but why not us and why not now.....GO BILLS!!!

PFF is failing to mention....Allen related
DRA3196 replied to Reader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
most important numbers for me are 5-1. and a lot of that is because of JA and his elite performance in the 4th qtr. You can throw math and algorithms right out the window, because they can't be used to measure HEART, determination or to evaluate "The Process". -
As this offense continues to gel, Josh will look better and better as the season goes on. He just needs to remember at the beginning of the game that it is a marathon not a sprint. The more controlled he plays the better he looks. By December our offense should be rolling. Patience is key.

Gase upset Darnold’s “seeing ghosts” being aired.
DRA3196 replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I question Gase's judgement. Why would you put your young QB in that situation. If he wants to blame anyone he needs to look in the mirror. It would have made more sense to have Mosley a well respected Veteran and leader on the defense wear the mic, instead of a 23 yr old trying to figure out how to play under the MNF lights, against a defensive genius that has a long history of destroying young QB's. IMO Gase set Darnold up to fail on the biggest stage of his young career. Gase is an idiot and a moron, and makes Rex look like an intellectual. -

Darnold has 8 completions for 50 yards with 4 picks. OUCH!!! -
It takes Josh 3 qtrs. to get the jitters out, by the 4th the kid is ready to play ball.
