  1. Great season, great run for the Bills. Lost to a good offense, really encouraged by the Oline play lately. I think we all can see that we'll be in the hunt every year for the next decade with 17 at the wheel. If we win that coin flip in OT we may have won the superbowl. I saw a clickbait post on twitter today that was busting on the Packers for having 30 years of back to back HOF qb's and "only" two championships. The fact is you need a fair amount of luck to hoist the trophy, it isn't always about skill. We sensed that at some point not having our All Pro corner was going to hurt us, and tonite was the night. Letting Kelce run wide open at the end of regulation is kind of laughable, makes me wonder where our coaching staff was on those timeouts. Tackle him, hold him, just don't let him run open. Tyreek too.
  2. The answer is just about everyone. We play mostly zone w 2 deep safeties vs Mahomes. In zone coverage the LB's and dbacks work together, there won't be a guy following Kelce around. Last time we played them, Kelce and Tyreek had about 60 yards each. It was manageable. Leslie may run some man coverage to mix it up, a few games ago he had Tredavious shadowing Kelce for awhile but switched back to zone not long after. Our biggest worry is going to be blocking Chris Jones and Melvin Ingram. Neither one of those guys played last game (Jones hurt, Ingram wasn't a Chief yet) and they're both elite in my opinion. KC was 4-4 when Ingram came on board and they launched from there. Jones killed us last year in the AFC championship game. When we play teams that can pass rush well, Daboll and the Oline HAVE TO make the run game work to some extent. If we end up in another situation where we give up on the run and make Josh throw 50 passes I think we are toast. Must keep their D guessing. It sounds extreme but Motor may be just as important in this game as Josh. You can do it little/big man!
  3. I like how he chilled out and refocused after his stupid penalty game a few weeks back. He manned up, took the blame and let his play speak for itself. I was worried a little bit after that game, wondering if the kid is just immature and wild (he is to some extent) and that's why he dropped to the 3rd round because otherwise his power, length and ability to move is so impressive you'd think he would have gone much higher. I agree with the earlier poster that Beane has made up for his Ford whiff by drafting big 79. He is going to be up against Ingram this week, who I still can't believe ended up in KC. That dude can wreck your backfield worse than Frank Clark did last year. Gilliam and Knox will need to be ready to help out.
  4. Cleveland got us back on the Wyatt Teller trade. He's an elite guard.
  5. if that dude wasn't plucked straight from the swamps... his middle name is Cooter. well, it should be anyway.....
  6. Not that hard to find a good slot replacement. Bease was a great add, loved having him but it's time to split. Texas guys are a strange breed, they generally have a cockiness that can make it tough to mesh with the more open-minded Buffalo mentality. Aaron Schobel is another Texas guy that comes to mind in that regard, they have that know-it-all gene that can be really frustrating to deal with. Looking forward to some fun slot receiver stuff next year with some new faces, lil' Dirty included of course.
  7. aside from feet, hands and head/neck, if she's gonna sit have a nice cushion and gotta have a stadium blanket across her lap, she'll be toasty.
  8. u called it. i hope we get another shot at them, we do well in grudge matches.
  9. Gabe had a rare off-game today. Hopefully he and Josh settle in for a good week of practice and Gabe does what he did last year in our 1st playoff game vs Colts. In other news, strange that Josh's goal line slip in the rain vs Titans ended up costing us a 1st round bye and homefield advantage throughout. Game of inches for sure....
  10. As always, Hondo makin' sense from way across the country. There is a ton of luck involved in these games, and referee involvement is a huge part of that. We didn't deserve to beat the Rams last year but they called a ticky tack hold on the guy covering Gabe Davis at the end of the game and we won because of it. The no calls in the Patriots MNF game were ridiculous and the tape backed it up. If Bass makes that chip shot field goal in that game then it's 14-13 and we kick at the end from in close and win 16-14. Josh slipping in the rain vs Tenn, etc. The bottom line there is a ton of luck involved every time I hear "some teams just know how to win close games" I laugh. Think about Milano and Siran Neal--two of our best tacklers--hitting Deshaun Watson simultaneously at the end of the playoff game two years ago at and their collision allows Watson to squirt out and win the game, had nothing to do with us 'knowing how to win a close game' and everything to do with luck. The only thing I would concede is that some qb's and offenses run better 2 minute drills than others, take a more aggressive approach to winning the game instead of going into OT. This may skew the results slightly but we also saw the Chargers and Ravens lose games this year simply because they were too aggressive.
  11. I think our challenge isnt guys getting separation and catching the ball. We have plenty of those guys.
  12. its been rough. i actually want a dome now and i never did before. and Goodell the idiot will make us play on Monday night next week so expect another freezing tailgate in the dark so the NFL can sell more expensive advertising and give us a short week to prepare for our next game.
  13. Ive noticed some stadiums have way too much space between the sidelines and the 1st row of fans behind the bench. Our stadium now is great in that sense and I hope they keep that in mind with the new one. Sure the team could probably use a little more room but moving back the stands too far hurts every view from the 1st row all the way back. There are a few NFL ones where the 1st row at midfield is like 30 yards from the field, its a joke.
  14. TV Announcers were clueless on the Bease target INT. To me there were two things that happened, contact w Bease AND he clearly stopped his in-cut or curl or whatever he was supposed to be running. Either way it wasnt on 17 as we know.
  15. Dont worry, Daboll will still call a bunch of Josh designed runs just to show how much of a maverick he is up there in the warm booth sitting on his as$
  16. We've won 3 of the last 4, and our loss was due to a missed chip shot FG in 50mph winds. Im praying we get the Pats back in Buffalo again, we'll win again.
  17. Some days you want a dome, this year more than half of the games were in unpleasant conditions. Some days you want the open air and natural light, the feel of an authentic outdoor football game. In my view there is almost nothing worse than having a beautiful weather day for football and having to go inside a dome. It kills the vibe for me. There are good and bad to both options, like most anything in life. The last 4 games I went to were the snow game vs Indy, Balt playoffs last year, all day rain vs Houston this year and crazy wind Monday night a few weeks ago. Thats the snowiest, coldest , rainiest and most windy games the Bills have played in as my last experiences and I'm still happy they're going for a new open air stadium in OP.
  18. Until the red endzones and helmets come back, i will continue my strike by not watching the Bills, and instead turn my attention to my new team, the CFL's Edmonton Elks. With their snappy uniforms and $9 tickets ($8 of which is taxes) that's a team I can really support.
  19. Well this late in Russ' career he's only going to play exactly where he wants to play and his agent will make that known. That rules out teams like the Jets, Giants etc and somewhat hurts what Seattle can get for the guy. I could see Russ ending up w the Niners and Trey Lance goes to Seattle with another player and some picks. Pitt is also screwed at QB and could possibly see them going hard to Aaron or Russ in the offseason.
  20. Well we unloaded Wyatt Teller who is the second highest ranked offensive lineman in the league and would make a massive impact on this team right now. And Logan Thomas who would be a huge upgrade to Tommy Sweeney. Heck I think Quinton Spain would be an upgrade at either guard position right now too. GM's make mistakes all the time. I'm not saying it's easy, and I see your point about fan favorites getting taken to the extreme, but sometimes the fan opinions are correct and the GM's are wrong. Like my call about Josh Rosen being a better pick than Josh Allen. I just KNEW I was right, that Rosen kid just needs a little more time, and Josh Allen well, I TOLD YA he's the next Ryan Mallet....I mean you can't teach accuracy you fools....
  21. would like to see Dolphins, Bengals and Raiders get the W's this week
  22. Its so weird how he sent Hightower flying like he was a little cornerback or something but he's a 260lb thumper. Unbelievable strength by Singletary.
  23. Yeah you're missing my entire point, of course a head coach needs to win to keep his job. This thread was about reporters being tough on Bill and I made the comment that he has zero social skills and more than one beat reporter has told Chris Brown it sucks dealing with the guy as your full time job. Some coaches win AND handle themselves off the field with charisma and a little humor, and it's more enjoyable for everyone. That's all. I think McD is pretty good in that regard (getting a little more loose as the years go on), Reid is the king, Arians too. Here's a good link for Bruce https://www.azcardinals.com/video/the-best-of-bruce-arians-funniest-moments-of-2013-12396112
  24. I disagree. The head coaches PRIMARY job is to produce a winning team, in the same way a player's primary job is to execute on the field, but off the field conduct, the way they treat the fans, the press, doing interviews, signing autographs, having a sense of humor, answering questions in a way that doesn't make them seem smug--that is also an important piece of the job. Andy Reid is a HOF coach as well, look at how he handles it all, how he relates to people with his wit and a twinkle in his eye compared to stuffy old Bill. I've heard Chris Brown talk about what his colleagues as Patriots beat reporters have told him about having to work with Belichick they say it's a freaking nightmare.
