  1. Cinci turned the KC offer down, stayed put and drafted WR bust John Ross right in front of our pick. We traded back and essentially got an all-pro CB and a pick we dealt to get a qb that had more MVP votes than Mahomes last year. Great moves.
  2. He's been a standout since he was a freshman. Contact balance, vision, the dude is amazing. He has to get a shot somewhere.
  3. Nobody has any clue if he's the man we need, I'm still wondering that 3 years later on Tremaine, 2 years later on Ed and a year later on Epenesa. But the dude sure looks the part. Beane doubling down on his philosophy that raw talent can be molded. Worked for Josh, failed on Knox. Hope he goes 2 for 3 with Greg.
  4. dont read new threads then, just stick with the old ones. its draft season, theres nothing else to talk about and each thread is different in its own way. agree with u on multiple threads on the same single piece of news, thats silly, but its not a big deal to have 7 or 8 different threads on draft right now because the OP takes are all different flavors.
  5. What killed us vs KC wasnt lack of running game. Motor has a career 4.8ypc. Our D absolutely could not get off the field on 3rd down. Mahomes 5 seconds to throw and targets wide open. Both games pretty much a joke in that regard. A rookie RB isnt going to be that much better than Moss, Devin and Brieda compared to getting a solid rook cb or edge. When Bills pick D tonite, if you want to feel better go rewatch either Chiefs game and remember their Oline actually got better this offseason while we have done nothing to beef up our defense. We will get rolled again and again unless we do what Tampa did and get after that QB.
  6. We have spots where a good rookie can be an immediate upgrade and day 1 starter. Tre White was 27th pick, contributed right away. Another top corner could do the same. I know its not as fun as Etienne, but CB and Edge are what get you off the field on 3rd down vs KC, who basically moved the ball on us at will every 3rd down we faced them last year in both games because they either had a WR open or Mahomes had 5 seconds or more to throw. It was embarrassing and we have made no moves in FA to upgrade in that area. KC has a better line than last year on paper. We can't come back with the same D and hope things will change just because Star is back.
  7. Erie county is 70% fully vaxxed over 65 yrs old 44% 18 and up. If we keep going at this rate we might get back to normal soon. Hopefully the skeptics start to realize hundreds of millions of shots is a pretty big sample size to use as a factor in their decision. Then again, most of the anti vax crowd isn't known for logic and reason.
  8. Damn Karlos, we hardly knew ye If he's still with the same girl he was with in Buffalo, I hope he doesn't resent her for not pushing him to stay in shape, work hard and be the best athlete he could be. I sure would.
  9. I totally respect your take on that. I probably wouldn't want to go there either if I was in my 20's, but its great for us middle aged dudes that like to drink a few beers and tailgate without the extreme madness. Having segregated parking areas based on partying levels is a great idea which is why your post is Redgood to get out there. We should develop a Mafia Party Index and assign values to certain areas. That would be hilarious. Flaming shots and sex through a car window? You want the KK lot on Abbott, that's a Code Red lot. Hammers Lot is like an Orange, get loud have fun, drink away but clean up after yourself, be respectful and lose the table slamming. And if you run out of ketchup or mustard he's got just the guy....
  10. Darius Leonard was sitting there until the Colts grabbed him at 36. If you compare the two guys its a game changer vs a decent player, and to make mattersbworse we gave up a lot to move up for Tremaine. He sure is a likeable guy though, and a hard worker, plays well in space, covering screens, passing lanes etc. Just not a thumper or block shedder which is unfortunate.
  11. well you got the first part right. Forgot to take into account wind resistance (drag), which will put a cap on velocity. In a free falling skydiver the terminal velocity is around 160mph, no more acceleration after that. I'd say an american football probably maxxes out around 60mph depending on spin. About as hard as Josh throws his fastball, which is cooking. The hardest part of that catch I think would be the knuckle ball effect when the rotation slows or stops, thats probably why he whiffed on a few (either that or Gronk was drunk, maybe a little of both)
  12. got too sad watchin the clip that we decided to let John Brown walk and go sign somewhere else for 3.75M. No offer to restructure his deal, just gave the dude his pink slip. Hopefully Sanders is the upgrade everyone says he is.
  13. It seems like teams that make deep playoff runs have a nasty front 4 on D. I know we went Dline with our first pick 2 years in a row now, but I'd go ONE more year taking Edge or a big 1 tech DT in the 1st.
  14. Singletary has 4.8 ypc on 300+ touches. Is anyone close to that?
  15. Yeah that dude got all defensive and rude when you literally answered his direct question with a helpful tip. I guess that makes you a big jerk in his eyes. Yikes. Maybe he's a Pats or Philly fan and accidentally went to the wrong site...
  16. McShay is good at marketing himself but the dude is definitely not a Cosell or Kiper in terms of understanding individual team needs and systems. I've found the guy to be pretty useless.
  17. Star is average at best since 2014. He has played a lot of snaps in this league (mileage) AND he hasn't played a live snap in a very long time so yes you can have both things working against you. (rust, age, ability to maintain skills, fitness etc) You say we missed HIM last year, I say we missed a legit 1 tech, not necessarily him and his $50M deal. I trust McD and Leslie, hope Star comes back and has a tremendous season for us, but I agree with the poster who said he was never more than an average dude for us so lets not get carried away with the notion that he's going to significantly elevate this defense. Sincerely hope I'm wrong.
  18. A lot of smart football minds in Buffalo felt Sanders was worth over $2M more per year than John Brown, who has three 1000 yard receiving seasons and had a ton of chemistry with Josh and the team in general. It seems crazy to me because Smoke was so sure-handed and always seemed open, even doubled as our #1 WR two years ago, but I trust the talent e v a l guys we have so I'm on board with Sanders.
  19. I would imagine he is working hard on punt and kick returns to compete for the void Andre Roberts left. Ive watched his highlights recently, his burst and change of direction is impressive. Seems sure handed. Fearless dude.
  20. Yeah I agree. Since when has this cat been above average EVER? Much less taking a full year off, has a lot of miles on him, hasn't played a live snap in well over a year. If he's been training like a freak and focused, maybe he meets expectations but I feel like we've generally been overestimating the guy since he's been gone. I make that mistake with my ex girlfriends, and then when I see em again I'm like "uhhhhh, yeah so I mustve been remembering only the good stuff...."
  21. JB signed for $3.75M w Raiders, does his agent suck or did we not want him at all? Hard to believe Daboll and Josh would support paying an older receiver $2.25M more than Smoke, plus don't we have dead money in there too? Im baffled by this move. Two years of chemistry w Josh, a multiple 1000 yd NFL proven receiver and we let him walk because we dont think he's worth $3.75M? This has to be injury concern. There's no other explanation.
