  1. Man people like to pile it on. Josh had a very bad start to the game, you could see the nervousness, bad accuracy, over throws - that was on him, not because of the Pats*. But then he was average, some bone head throws, some very good ones. You seem to forget he was facing a defense as good as any in the history of the NFL since the last playoffs, a defense that shut everybody this year AND the Chiefs and Rams, the two best offenses last year. He wasn't THAT bad, and let the kid have his growing pains. Besides that first challenge (WTF was he thinking?), coaches were near the Cheats level. Except in preparation and fundamentals but the Grumpy One an crew have years of experience and stability over the Bills. It's been a long while since we'had such good coaches. McD is still fairly green.
  2. He tried to gain the 1st down. For all his balls, he would have slid otherwise like he's done many times. It was 3rd down and he was close so he went for it. Then he got held up and vulnerable to a vicious hit... that happened. I don't think he lacks football sense.
  3. Was he really KOed cold? I know the announcers were saying it, but on the replay you see him tucking and holding the ball well on the way down... you have to be conscious to do that! Anyway, hopefully he is taken care fo and comes back ASAP but only when ready.
  4. Moral victory sucks but this is one for sure. If there's no punt block it's a tie game, Brady looked very average to say the least. The two defenses were special for sure. Alen (and McD) were way too stressed out in the 1st half but both settled nicely
  5. There are limits indeed to analytics. Useful to spot other teams' tendencies, over time know what are your plays with greater odds of success and all that, but overall, it's matchups, flow of the game, even down to adjusting for momentum swings in the game. It might be a science for the preparation part where analytics do come into play, but what's going on with the human players on the field is what should matter more to a good coach. Weather, tiredness, injuries (and small injuries to active players), personal shifts, feedback... A sport that uses a lot of stats is cycling, including real time feedback from watt output, etc. But they too will adjust according to how guys feel that day, what's happening outside their teams, etc. I'm not saying stats are useless, they sure are, especially in a sport like football with so many controlled & determined 3-5 second plays. But the human elements and "feel" for the game remain so important. Which is why sports are great!
  6. Haaaa. Great to see the Bills get some NFL love. Though the scorned underdog motivates players best
  7. I love how it starts with a painful sigh ha ha He even complimented us fans with a detailed reason why we are loud. He's a dangerous man
  8. Angry Runs is often super entertaining but this one was just the best ha ha. He gives his all
  9. I certainly am one of those posters. And I don't feel that bad about it with this stuff coming out TBH. Imagine ALL the issues we don't know about with players? Current and past. Just look at AB texts & emails... In the end, you can only judge behavior at the training facilities, meetings, and of course, production at game time! And even with his admission of substance use and lack of motivation, he paved the way for Shady like no one else. He produced. Too late now anyway. He's a nut case for sure but to me it's "cut him, send him to rehab, or keep it the same". Not ask him to take a paycut so he fires himself... I have a friend that is like him. Well except for the millionaire part. Those guys can be an adventure to be around, and yep, you never know when the cops can show up...
  10. I can't stand fans that are party poopers and expect a loss and whipping, and are pouting already! But not a post like yours, as at least you put legit arguments.
  11. Superb video game. Just lacks the special McDermott man power recharge... I thought I had imagined things ha ha. I really said out loud "Coach you don't that" as my boys were watching the game with me LOL
  12. Get it for Sunday!!! And I can't wait to be back yelling with you crazy fools. Hopefully next year. I wouldn't want to root for a team with a boring crowd.
  13. That's what I saw too. But eyes can lie at times ha ha. Smashmouth (throat) football!
  14. Yes I've noticed that too. And hopefully the coaches make the players fully aware. They'll still be gassed and frustrated... but mentally ready to bring it on in the 4th and teach that Brady dude a lesson
  15. I'm a huge Allen fan from day one. This one he was all over the place from great to good to average to bad. A 2nd year player and people expect perfection and mistake free football... Overall, not of his best performance, for sure. But in the end he was clutch, the Bills won, and I'm sure his learning curve took some good steps up!
  16. I watched live so glad I did ha ha Game is not on yet but it's only 4h29 Edit: game is available now 5h19. Of course it might have been slightly before. Quite fast!
  17. Yep Hyde & Poyer are close too but these guys were a step above Hauschka was money
  18. Different answers ha ha. I'll update you guys then. Hopefully it's quick!
  19. With tomorrow being such a perfect summer day, I'll likely go out with my boys and watch the game with a delay. While I'd rather start watching about 90 minutes later like I do when it's on TV for me, as I can then skip the ads and end up live by the 4th quarter (crazy when you think about it!), as I'll get tomorrow's game through NFL Game Pass I"m not sure that will work. Do they put the game on there as soon as it's over or later? Thanks
  20. I can't stand all these venues now ripping us off on WATER. Just greed at the expense of people's safety. If they fear alcohol being put in there, make people empty their bottles before going in but being able to keep it, as it's now done in many places. As there is a reversal in this policy now in many places, to be more environment friendly, actually encouraging people to bring in their bottles and fill them at designed fountains. I'm so sick of this greed. Like we don't pay through the nose already.
  21. The most fights I've seen was a Bills-Jets game. Season opener on a Sunday Night in Orchard Park. What year was that? Anyway, I've been to a lot of metal shows and festivals yet had never seen so much empty beer cans as just before entering the stadium ha ha. Sad part is, ALL the fights I saw, and I saw a lot, were between drunk Bills fans!!!
  22. Well many posts already. Josh for sure is MY favorite player to watch. I actually want Mahomes and Lamar to fail so ha ha. Saquon Barkley is damn impressive and wowing too. Hell, OBJ was last game. Shady had his moments for sure.
  23. His strength will definitely be his rocket launcher arm but still nice for him to get props.
  24. Gotta love the internet ha ha. People arguing on a thread like this Go Josh! He just gets it, on and off the field
  25. Besides Felacio and Bojo, it's not really "surprises" as that was the plan, but still sooooo pleasant to see it become a reality Josh often has a pocket to throw from, and while not a surprise, when he doesn't , he scrambles like the best of them. Feliciano nasty efficient blocking and Morse pulling like a 240 pound dude. TE play. All of them! At least medium long pass routes. I haven't watched their blocking closely TBH. Defense. Yes they are as good as last year but we never know for sure if that will keep happening And yes for me as well, Dabbol making creative full use of all his new toys. Bills O is very unpredictable and that's good! Bills O doesn't have true "big names" but the talent is so spread out it's tough to defend for sure, especially combined with the playcalling.
