  1. We need more details, as much as you want to provide, since you've walked the walk!
  2. It was a subpar snap, but the main point of the article remains
  3. A dead horse? Move on? This article makes it crystal clear the Bills have had this issue come up twice in the 3 weeks prior to the NE game. Twice. And 3rd time was the charm... in only the 4th week. You guys think it's acceptable? It cost a touchdown and ultimately, the game! Not Brady or whatever, but a blocked punt. Hey, I'm all for giving rookie coaches a chance but this was the 3rd time in 4 weeks! McD and staff are to blame as well. Interesting too that the article mentions that since Bojorquez tried out with the Pats* that they likely knew he wasn't enough good as a passer to take advantage of a guy no one was covering!
  4. Are you sure you guys aren't using your wish as a projection here? He really did look awful Sunday, well, rattled and unable to get a rhythm. But old? Seems wishful thinking! He never outran anybody, still seems to have about the same arm strength - which wasn't never that great. If he plays like that in a lot of games, then you have a point. Otherwise, I don't see it. His game is about intelligent reads, a few clutch plays, and a dose of whining & cheating ha ha. Nothing that goes down that much with age, sadly.
  5. It's dangerous. As is having only 2 QBs on the roster...
  6. It really is hard to complain with how good they got the job done... but yeah, I too would have liked to see Tom on his ass more. Hughes and Murphy weren't exactly killing it down there. Linebackers and secondary sure came to play and dominate though!
  7. NFL and MSM media have actually said how it was a tough W for the Patriots and how the Bills' D is for real. And you are right to start with the happy people observation. It really is something to behold in our cocooning world.
  8. Every time I watch other NFL games, I think of the people in here foaming at the mouth at his every incompletions and mistakes. You saw that dumb Brady INT after their 93 yard drive yesterday? For some reason, Rodgers was off the mark bad on many easy throws Thursday. And just watch other QBs miss obvious plays and make boneheads mistakes. Point is, stop expecting perfection! That being said, Josh indeed has been bad on long passes this year, which is weird in a way as he has regressed. I'm still wowed at his arm strength so that part of the game has to improve for sure. But again, only 4 starts to judge him, only his 2 year as a QB. Chill out! He could be just in a momentary confidence funk. As for overall inaccuracy, you guys are just repeating bad press to make a point. He was badly inaccurate to start THIS last game, but it was obviously nerves. Overall this year he has over 60% accuracy...
  9. I was a big hockey fan. I am still, for sure, a HUGE playoff hockey fans. Last year I watched zero regular games in its entirety. Just bits here and there. It's like 2 different sports between regular games and playoffs.
  10. I looooooove Josh, but I say...no. A blatant try to physically punish the guy? Even take him out? Of course, it's football. But at real speed, Jones really does turn with his shoulder pad to add to the punishment, as 95% of players would do here, not only to a QB but to a RB or WR or anyone! Does he use his helmet at the last millisecond? I don't think so. It's not blatant targeting or spearing. It sucks, I want Allen back ASAP, but that's the risk he took on himself going for 1st down. BTW to those who say he has to tone it down and blablabla, he usually slides or avoids the big contacts really well. This time he went for 1st down as it was needed, and he paid a steep price. But it's not as if he took a stupid risk. Freak incident. And again, when a player is gang tackled and not down yet, defenders rarely hold back on the extra punishment!
  11. Maybe. But don't read so much into it. Star players are used to being... stars. The dude broke some passing yards and TD records. Besides one beautiful pass he looked as ordinary as any 2nd string QB in the league. The only steady drive they had ended in him throwing an INT. Our D frustrated him bad, and that's good ha ha. It's like if a team wins but as WR you had just one catch for 4 yards, or a RB that did 30 yards... yeah you won but you feel as you didn't do much yourself. If he says that week after week, then sure, it's a "sign". But after this? Nope
  12. Man people like to pile it on. Josh had a very bad start to the game, you could see the nervousness, bad accuracy, over throws - that was on him, not because of the Pats*. But then he was average, some bone head throws, some very good ones. You seem to forget he was facing a defense as good as any in the history of the NFL since the last playoffs, a defense that shut everybody this year AND the Chiefs and Rams, the two best offenses last year. He wasn't THAT bad, and let the kid have his growing pains. Besides that first challenge (WTF was he thinking?), coaches were near the Cheats level. Except in preparation and fundamentals but the Grumpy One an crew have years of experience and stability over the Bills. It's been a long while since we'had such good coaches. McD is still fairly green.
  13. He tried to gain the 1st down. For all his balls, he would have slid otherwise like he's done many times. It was 3rd down and he was close so he went for it. Then he got held up and vulnerable to a vicious hit... that happened. I don't think he lacks football sense.
  14. Was he really KOed cold? I know the announcers were saying it, but on the replay you see him tucking and holding the ball well on the way down... you have to be conscious to do that! Anyway, hopefully he is taken care fo and comes back ASAP but only when ready.
  15. Moral victory sucks but this is one for sure. If there's no punt block it's a tie game, Brady looked very average to say the least. The two defenses were special for sure. Alen (and McD) were way too stressed out in the 1st half but both settled nicely
  16. There are limits indeed to analytics. Useful to spot other teams' tendencies, over time know what are your plays with greater odds of success and all that, but overall, it's matchups, flow of the game, even down to adjusting for momentum swings in the game. It might be a science for the preparation part where analytics do come into play, but what's going on with the human players on the field is what should matter more to a good coach. Weather, tiredness, injuries (and small injuries to active players), personal shifts, feedback... A sport that uses a lot of stats is cycling, including real time feedback from watt output, etc. But they too will adjust according to how guys feel that day, what's happening outside their teams, etc. I'm not saying stats are useless, they sure are, especially in a sport like football with so many controlled & determined 3-5 second plays. But the human elements and "feel" for the game remain so important. Which is why sports are great!
  17. Haaaa. Great to see the Bills get some NFL love. Though the scorned underdog motivates players best
  18. I love how it starts with a painful sigh ha ha He even complimented us fans with a detailed reason why we are loud. He's a dangerous man
  19. Angry Runs is often super entertaining but this one was just the best ha ha. He gives his all
  20. I certainly am one of those posters. And I don't feel that bad about it with this stuff coming out TBH. Imagine ALL the issues we don't know about with players? Current and past. Just look at AB texts & emails... In the end, you can only judge behavior at the training facilities, meetings, and of course, production at game time! And even with his admission of substance use and lack of motivation, he paved the way for Shady like no one else. He produced. Too late now anyway. He's a nut case for sure but to me it's "cut him, send him to rehab, or keep it the same". Not ask him to take a paycut so he fires himself... I have a friend that is like him. Well except for the millionaire part. Those guys can be an adventure to be around, and yep, you never know when the cops can show up...
  21. I can't stand fans that are party poopers and expect a loss and whipping, and are pouting already! But not a post like yours, as at least you put legit arguments.
  22. Superb video game. Just lacks the special McDermott man power recharge... I thought I had imagined things ha ha. I really said out loud "Coach you don't that" as my boys were watching the game with me LOL
  23. Get it for Sunday!!! And I can't wait to be back yelling with you crazy fools. Hopefully next year. I wouldn't want to root for a team with a boring crowd.
  24. That's what I saw too. But eyes can lie at times ha ha. Smashmouth (throat) football!
  25. Yes I've noticed that too. And hopefully the coaches make the players fully aware. They'll still be gassed and frustrated... but mentally ready to bring it on in the 4th and teach that Brady dude a lesson
