1. Beasley 2. Hughes Josh played OK as did much of the defense and both RB's, but these 2 clearly stood out. I was happy to see Jackson play well, but how will he fare against top tier receivers? Perhaps we'll know soon enough.
-
Time will tell about Tua. He must be impressing Chan a lot because Fitz was playing very well. I do worry about Miami down the road, though. They have a lot of young talent and they are coached as well as any team in the NFL. Look for the Bills, Patriots and Dolphins to be solid in the future.

I'd like to see Moss featured tomorrow...
GreggTX replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Singletary isn't the problem. Our OL is 2 studs short of good. Dawkins is just average. D Williams has played well. Morse is a shade above average. Ford stinks and Winters has been below average. We need big upgrades at both G spots. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening. -
With Norman out and Wallace on IR, we are VERY weak at that outside CB spot, but who could come right in and play? It would have to be someone that played for McDermott before and I have no idea who that might be, if anyone. I still can't believe they just let Spain walk. I bet they're regretting that move now. I honestly don't see Beane panicking, though. We'll probably just ride this injury bug out and hope we can still make it to the postseason relatively intact. He has shown almost nothing so far. He's been no better than an average DT. I'd rather draft a DT next Spring.

If Carlos Dunlop trade possible Y/N?
GreggTX replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's no better than what we already have. Why bother? We have too many so-so players already. We just gave Addison $30 mill to pick up our pass rush. We need to start thinking about adding elite talent if we're serious about winning -- especially at DE, CB, QB, OT and WR/TE. Josh will rebound (I hope). Williams looks good at RT and White has played well in the past and hopefully can pick it up again. We're set at WR. We need to add top end talent at the rest of those positions. -
Zimmer needs to replace Oliver in starting lineup
GreggTX replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Oliver is going to be Darius 2.0 then OK, but I have no way of knowing. The league as a whole lacks talent at DT except Washington. -
I like Engram too, but Washington has 3 pretty good DT's on their roster and any one of them would be a big help. I'm not sure about edge rushers or guards.

The Official Bring Fitzpatrick Home Thread
GreggTX replied to BillsFan692's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He'd be the best backup QB in the NFL and a big upgrade over Barkley. -
"Andy Dalton will be just as good as Dak on the Cowboys!"
GreggTX replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I won't say Dalton is as good as Dak, but he'll be fine and gives Dallas a chance to win their division. -
This game is not all Josh Allen’s fault.
GreggTX replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Singletary is fine. Our OL is bad. Our DL is worse. KC's OL is bad too, but we made them look like all-pros. -
Defensive problems-just my opinion
GreggTX replied to BuffBills51's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Aside from lack of a pass rush and edmunds and being unbelievably bad vs the run, we also need a couple upgrades at CB. McDermott should at least start calling the plays for the defense. -
This is a fair question. I cringe at the thought of Beane running another offseason. He had almost $90 mill and we are worse off. I really don't want him running any more drafts. He's had hits and misses like any GM, but the misses are really piling up a lot faster than the hits -- especially in the top 2 rounds on draft weekend. Our DL has been absolutely horrible so far. Even Josh was so bad that no one besides the biggest Bills homers will refer to him as an MVP candidate any more. What potential GM candidates are out there?

Running game Woes and its not on the RB's
GreggTX replied to BBills88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both our OL and DL need work. Morse is OK. Dawkins is barely above average and Williams has been very good. Both Guard spots need upgrades. I'd start Winters and Spain at RG and LG. Ford is a real disappointment so far. I hope he can pick it up. -
Slot CB - Immediate Upgrade Required?
GreggTX replied to freddyjj's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We need to do for CB's what we did for our WR over the last 2 years. We had the 4th most cap space in the NFL in 2020 and we did not sign a single impact player in FA except D Williams (maybe). The Diggs trade was great and Davis was a steal in the 4th, but I wonder if the Bills just couldn't get the guys they wanted to come to Buffalo or Beane isn't as sharp as we thought. Maybe we need to let Epenesa get more snaps and move on from Hughes. Not having a good pass rush penalizes everyone in the secondary. -
Gameday Thread Week 4.5 Bills @ Titans 2nd Half
GreggTX replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sadly, I agree with you on this point, but I doubt they are going to replace either one of these guys soon. They'll still finish their rookie contracts. The real question is whether or not they take the 5th year option on them. -
Gameday Thread Week 4.5 Bills @ Titans 2nd Half
GreggTX replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is what happens when your best LB, both starting CB's and a 1,000 yard WR are out against a 3-0 team. This is not the end of the world. We may well be 4-2 shortly, especially if we don't get healthy soon, but we are not even half way through the season. Relax. Our future is still bright. This is just a bump in the road. -
NFL Launches LGBTQ History Month PSA
GreggTX replied to WotAGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Justice in any place at any time should be applauded and upheld. The only one shading your football experience over something like this is you. Just relax and enjoy the games. It's all up to you. It's no different than someone accusing you of somehow reducing their enjoyment of this forum. Either way, I'm not going to let it ruin the experience and I hope you won't either. -
Aren't we getting a little ahead of ourselves here? Josh isn't in the HOF just yet. He's had 4 really good games in 2020 and if he continues to play at this level (and cure his fumblitis) he probably will get the nod some day. I'll grant you that it's looking pretty good, but like many fans, you're counting your chickens before they hatch. I'm not saying you can never predict this. I'm pretty sure Brady is going to the HOF with a unanimous 1st ballot vote, but he's already made his case. Josh still has a little more work to do, but he's young enough to be Brady's son. There's plenty of time for that.

For the last 2 years, I've thought the Chiefs got the better of us when they moved up to #10 and drafted Mahomes while we got very valuable draft picks and a top CB. Now that Allen has come of age, the question deserves to be revisited? Mahomes has won a SB, a SB MVP and a league MVP. Pretty impressive. The Bills have never won a SB, but each week Josh Allen looks more and more like a QB that could give us the grand prize since 1964-1965. Will Josh Allen be sporting a SB ring some day? Will he win more rings than Mahomes? Clearly both teams benfitted from that blockbuster trade, but who got the better deal?

Bills work out CB Lafayette Pitts
GreggTX replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This does not bode well. The schedule continues to get harder as key injuries mount. -
It sounds like some of us are overlooking the Titans. I sure hope the Bills aren't making that mistake! We will be handed our heads if we do, especially with all the injuries piling up. Some of you are talking like this somehow is not a 3-0 team that just made a deep playoff run. This will be our toughest test to date. We need to start putting teams away in the 2nd half instead of letting them back in the game. We'll need our run game as well as our passing game working as well as containing the reigning leading rusher from 2019.

Chargers: Herbert will remain starter, Tyrod to bench
GreggTX replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel bad for Tyrod. I hope he gets another shot somewhere else. Still, Herbert is playing very well for a rookie and they'd be foolish to go back to Tyrod unless something changes.
