Because of the era he played in and he always had a lot of offensive talent with him. But man, I just never felt like Romo was a HOF QB when he was playing. He was a solid QB, just not a great QB.
-
That's mostly true. They did bring in highly recognizable names for the position, including Vontae Davis and Josh Norman. They brought in the highly drafted Kevin Johnson to compete, a former first rounder. So they have been trying, but clearly not investing big money or draft picks to the position. But to me, it's notable that they keep trying and they don't seem sold on Wallace. Wallace was likely moving on from the team, if it wasn't for the reduced cap. The Bills brought him back late on a 1 year deal. Unless he kills it this year I expect the Bills to let him walk. The Bills have been talking with their money and actions. They haven't invested a lot of money in the position, but they also haven't wanted to invest money in Wallace either. I'm pretty certain they want an upgrade, but haven't felt the need to put real assets toward it yet.

Well, it's not, because Wallace is still the #2.

Well, I'm a fan of Levi Wallace, but I don't think he is ideal as a #2 corner. As a #3 or reserve corner he'd be great. He's the type of guy every team wants as depth, but I sure hope we get a better #2 option sometime in the future.

Why Josh Allen is not a "one hit wonder"

The Jets have had some closer games and forced more turnovers vs Allen, though. -
Why Josh Allen is not a "one hit wonder"

If any team should think Allen is the real deal, it's the Dolphins. Allen has owned them his entire career. -
How many people don't like Allen's new deal?
MJS replied to mjd1001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is that considering the higher cap due to new TV deals that will be kicking in, plus just the general increases we usually see from year to year? -

As always, your negative spin on everything is impressive. Keep up the bad work. -
Questions for those of us who endured the drought
MJS replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So most of my fandom has been during the drought. I'm only 32 years old, so the last time the Bills won a playoff game I was just too young to really remember it. I do have fond memories of Eric Moulds, Doug Flutie, even Drew Bledsoe. But most of my years of really caring about the Bills was just abysmal. Not usually horrible enough to get a top draft pick, and when we were close we had no confidence that we would pick a difference maker anyways. But the biggest thing? Every coach we hired just seemed like a buffoon. I just never had confidence in them. It was obvious we were scraping the bottom of the barrel for these coaches. I always had to convince myself that they might be ok. McDermott, though? I was legitimately impressed with him and thought he could be different. Beane, too, was impressive to me. McDermott breaking the drought really shows me he was different as well. It's only been uphill from there. Josh Allen showed a lot to me his rookie year. He had no talent on offense to help him. He put the offense on his back every game. He had some lows and some highs, but he was a fighter. That Minnesota game and the well 17 Miami game really shows me he had potential to be good. -
Greatest Trade in NFL History [Misleading title]
MJS replied to SectionC3's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hmm, not even close to the best trade of all time. Not even worth mentioning. But we do have another current player that we acquired for one of the best trades for the franchise all time: Jerry Hughes. Great trade. I'll also add that the McCoy trade was pretty good. Alonso skipped around on different teams and flamed out, actually becoming known as one of the dirtiest hitters in the league. McCoy had a few really good years in Buffalo. -

I was totally going to respond with that. Beat me to it. Those little buggers are expensive. But yummy. -

Hall of Fame Game: Steelers vs Cowboys 8pm Fox
MJS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The hall of fame game is as unwatchable as it gets, even by preseason standards. ... but I'll still watch it. -
It sounds like the Bills are rent free in your head. You are spending all your time on a Bills message board waiting for any mentions of your Patriots. Do you know how many times I have gone looking on Patriots boards? It's easy to count: zero. So who is really affected by the other team here?
-
Yeah, I'm sure he "retired". I bet the NFL has been trying to get rid of him given how terribly he has done in the position. Teams have complained about him, all the fans do, and pretty much every broadcasting crew and rules experts they bring on are constantly baffled by his decisions. Probably more like a forced retirement.

Training Camp practice and Media Sessions 8/5
MJS replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
2018 was a pretty bad offensive year. The team was pretty devoid of any offensive talent. Defense was still good, though.
