Watkins had years of injury concerns already, though. And he later admitted to having to mature and become a better team player after he left the Bills. I guess we don't know if Toney has any character concerns, but it is pretty tough to label him injury prone after one season.

Is laughing at a mediocre QB struggling in a skills challenge being triggered?

Are black people happy about this, or are they questioning it? This is an honest question. I really am curious.

Insight into Bills college scouts, directors, etc
MJS replied to First Round Bust's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can only think of a couple of posters that have that opinion, but they do post about it dozens of times a day, so it probably looks like more people share that opinion. They don't understand the hit rate for draft picks. Beane has done a nice job. Lots of hits, some misses. -
I don't see the relevance of a season from nearly a decade ago. Living in the past?

Spotrac has Levi Wallace valued @ $9M/yr. Thoughts?
MJS replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think his floor is 7, personally. Someone is going to pay him. There are some teams with a lot of cap space this year. Last year with the lowered cap there was not a lot of money to go around. There's always a chance he takes a discount to stay in Buffalo. -

MJS replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is absolutely worth that much. He had a great year. Last year was not indicative of anything because of the lowered cap. A lot of guys re-signed with their teams for the security and because there was not much money to go around. Levi Wallace is a decent #2 cornerback. If the Bills don't pay him someone else will. -
The Pro Bowl week is just for the players to get together and have some fun. I have no problem with it. The skills challenges and games are fun to watch. Although, I bet they are wishing the game was still in Hawaii. There's nothing wrong with the pro bowl unless you take it too seriously.

How the heck did Mac Jones get chosen for the Pro Bowl? Did 10 other AFC QB's opt out?

Texans getting closer to hiring Josh McCown as Head Coach
MJS replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
This would be the oddest hire in the last 20 years, at least. He has no credentials. This is incredible. -
Bills and Chiefs tied as favorites to win Superbowl next season
MJS replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall
That game was painful for Bills fans, but it opened up the eyes for the rest of the nation. Nobody is sleeping on the Bills anymore (except Bills fans, of course). -

Anthony Lynn expected to be hired as 49ers assistant head coach
MJS replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, but he was running Roman's system since Roman started as our offensive coordinator that year. So yeah, I guess he has limited play calling experience. -

MJS replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Does he have play calling experience? I don't think he has been a coordinator before. That is partly why I thought it was crazy that anyone made him a head coach. He basically went from a Running Backs coach to a head coach. I think that was a disservice to him, honestly. He was not ready to be a head coach. -
How many years can Josh be an Elite QB with his playing style?
MJS replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
So you are speculating that he would not have torn his shoulder if he had not accumulated hits in previous games? I think that is impossible to determine. -
Chiefs OC Eric Bienemy getting 2nd interview with Saints..
MJS replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do we really know this? Andy Reid calls the plays. It is his offense. I think that is what is hurting Bienemy's chances at a head coaching position. Nobody knows if he will be good outside of Reid's offense. -
The draft does not stop NBA or NHL teams from tanking. They still do it. And tanking is actually effective in those leagues because you only have a few guys on the court / ice at once, so one superstar player can really change your team. In football, only the QB position can change your team like that, and then you still need good coaches and play calling, an oline to protect him, and at least decent weapons to get the ball to. And even if you have all those things, you need a defense good enough to not screw you over constantly (like the Saints for a few years who sucked and missed the playoffs even with prime Drew Brees on their team). The Browns and the Jets have sucked for years and have had so many first round picks and have still not been able to turn around their teams. The Browns did make the playoffs a couple years ago, so I'd say they have elevated themselves to an average to above average team, but it took so many years of bad football. Their issue wasn't talent as much as competent coaching, management, and development of players. Plus the QB position.

How many years can Josh be an Elite QB with his playing style?
MJS replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
For Cam the specific issue with his shoulder is not an accumulation of hits as a running QB. He got his shoulder torn up from one hit, then later injured it again. These were specific events in his career, not an accumulation of lots of hits while outside the pocket. Cam's shoulder injuries happened when he was in the pocket. Many of his hits to the head also happened when he was in the pocket. Refs were not protecting him like other QBs, even when he was in the pocket. -

MJS replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cam injured his shoulder in the pocket and needed surgery multiple times on it. He never could throw the ball the same after that. It actually doesn't have anything to do with him running the ball and taking hits. -
It is astounding to me that anyone ever thought that Gase was good at developing QB's. Because he held a clip board on the sidelines while Manning called his own plays? Just don't get it.

How many years can Josh be an Elite QB with his playing style?
MJS replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The thing that is unique about Josh is he is an elite passer with a cannon arm AND an elite running QB. In 5 more years if he can't run it like he used to, fine, he is still an elite passer with a cannon for an arm. He is getting smarter and more and more he is able to dissect defenses. So soon he will be an elite QB mentally, not just physically (if he isn't already), so even if he loses some physical ability over time to throw it, he'll still be an elite QB. Still, I voted 10 more years. Guys don't often have 19 year careers. Anything over 14 or 15 years with a QB is just bonus. He has plenty of time to win some Superbowls. -
Athletic article forecasting our cap casualties

Re-sign Klein for sure. He is great depth and I highly doubt he will command much on the open market. Exactly. Don't go cutting players on the oline unless you KNOW you have upgrades there. -
I think Diggs has really grown as a person and a leader since coming to Buffalo. He talked about reading books about leadership after being voted a captain. I think in Minnesota he didn't come across this way as much. I remember watching that video where they voted him the player they would least want to date their sister, and he seemed to really be taken aback by that. I think he has really embraced the veteran leadership role here and embraces his status as a franchise player, and he wants to genuinely be a good human and a good teammate. He is a great dude.

He cashed in a little on his deal with the devil for that swing. For sure. -
Oh gross, Collinsworth? We have to listen to him for an entire game?
