  1. Great video. I think this could be easily implemented in football. The key is landing on the back of their legs because of your actions as a tackler. I agree that should be a foul. I'm usually on the side of letting players play, but this is definitely a safety concern and should be treated like a horse collar tackle. Defenders can make a conscious effort to ensure they land on the ground instead of their legs. Although, I could see some issues in making judgment calls in real time for officials.
  2. Plus dropped passes, a fumble, and an INT that was really just a great play by the defender, and a couple of missed reads by Allen. These are all execution problems. The players need to make those plays.
  3. He gave up one pass and had one penalty. Anyone saying he played badly are just not being fair or objective. He played fine. Unfortunately, some fans are hyper focused on him, so if he makes a single mistake, draws a single flag, allows a single completion, etc. fans will throw him under the bus. All the problems are on offense, and they are 90% execution problems (AKA: players not doing their jobs). Dropped passes, fumbles, incorrect reads by Allen, slightly bad passes, etc. The plays are there to be made and the players are not making them. Some of that is on Allen, some on the receivers, some on the running backs. They need to make those plays. Hive mind and bias.
  4. Most of his job is taking hits for the owners and making them money. He does his job very well.
  5. Wait, what actually makes this official?
  6. He left because he was traded. He was traded because he had well documented off the field issues. Surprise! He had off the field issues in Seattle too, at first. Lynch was trouble. He grew up some and seems to have matured a bit, but he is still a little off and always has been.
  7. The holy grail of stupid posts. It burns my eyes to behold it.
  8. I've always advocated for Josh running. It is one of the things that makes him a weapon in the NFL. It is also something that helps spark the offense when things get tough. Although, I do think it is good that Allen is learning how to play without doing it. That's important. Hopefully, after awhile he'll be able to find a balance and know when he needs to run to get things moving.
  9. Defenses around the league always adjust, and then it is up to offenses to innovate, which they will. The pendulum swings back and forth.
  10. We need to stack wins. Period.
  11. Sure, but Daniel Jones does like 6 stupid things a game.
  12. A lot of these proposed trades are not really possible in Madden either.
  13. WAS one of the greatest. I don't think he is anymore.
  14. It's amazing to me that people think teams are always willing to trade away all their best players.
  15. That's the rule. If it continues to escalate the officials will start disqualifying people.
  16. Is that the measure of what makes something important and meaningful?
  17. I'm fine with it the way it is. If anyone crosses the line the officials can disqualify them. If you don't want it to offset, don't reciprocate. Dawkins clearly got into it, justified or not. I think you open up a big can of worms if you try to change it, not to mention adding complexity.
  18. There's barely a difference between the oldest teams and the youngest teams. It is a complete non-issue in the NFL.
  19. So, is Elam supposed to never allow a completed pass? He is a young player. What was so horrible about his game? The Giants scored 9 points.
  20. Williams was good. I think he wss better than the previous week. Keep getting him game reps and experience. I noticed him a lot.
  21. He's the perfect bridge QB. Won't lose the game, but won't win it either. I didn't even know he was on that team until Jones got hurt. Why they have been starting Jones instead of him I don't understand. Jones is horrible. Paying him was a huge mistake. Paying Barkley was a huge mistake because Barkley is always getting hurt.
  22. You can't win if you are McDermott. Trust the kicker or don't, go for it or don't, even when you win a hard fought game. Even when the defense you coordinate only allows 9 points. Nothing he can do will appease the mindless mob that wants him gone.
  23. I was looking for him and he looked OK, but lacking explosiveness. He beat his guy on one play and Tyrod drifted away from him before making a throw (can't remember if it was complete or not). It's going to take a couple of weeks for him to get ramped up.
  24. People are angry. When they are angry they can't process information. They just want heads to roll. But it was a valiant effort.
  25. That D had a lot more talent than it does now. Belichick is a horrendous GM. He is a good defensive coordinator, though.
