  1. I don't think it is a lack of caring. It is injuries, a lack of execution, and a team with a lot of high variance players. A lot of things seems disjointed, like they need to get their fundamentals down. Kind of too late for that with how little they are actually allowed to practice during the season. Hopefully they can get those things ironed out.
  2. Seems you are ignorant. Marino calls them like he sees them. But he is a huge Bills fan and huge supporter of Josh Allen.
  3. I guess that needs to be the next evolution of Josh Allen. He needs to be better before the snap. He needs to recognize pressure, audible out of plays, identify blitzers, and make sure the line is protecting right. If he does that, 90% of the problems go away. He just isn't where he needs to be with pre-snap adjustments and defensive coordinators are feasting on that now. Even a lot of the post-snap issues mentioned come down to pre-snap identification, like "I'll throw to my hot route if that player blitzes." That might appear to be a post-snap decision, but he needs to mentally prepare for that pre-snap.
  4. Not even close. Dennison.
  5. Because the offense has scored almost nothing in the first 3 quarters the past 3 weeks. Plus, with all the injuries on defense, it is kind of expected that the defense will struggle more. So, pick your poison. A lot of people want more from the offense. Improved oline. Superstars at QB and WR. Maybe it would be nice if they could be really good and cover for an injury plagued defense...
  6. Agreed. We basically give a pass to any other coach in the league when their team gets decimated with injuries, like the Ravens for a couple of years, but when it happens to our team we expect the coach to work miracles? What other defense could perform well without its top 4 starters, plus a handful of others from week to week? The Bills had been really lucky with injuries for a couple of years, but this year and last has been brutal.
  7. He has been playing very well this year outside of the Jets game. He was a little off yesterday, but nothing to indicate an injury that bothered him. I also don't think he is checked out. He looked angry and frustrated to me yesterday, not uncaring like some people are claiming. Josh just isn't the type to blow up on the sideline and start cussing out his teammates.
  8. He has been playing poorly, hasn't he?
  9. I don't think so. It would probably happen at the end of the season if McDermott wanted to fire him. Besides, what is the backup option?
  10. And going to hot routes and check downs when pressure comes. There is plenty of blame to go around. The OL has been pretty good this year, until yesterday.
  11. Daboll struggled in the red zone too. Don't you remember? Agreed. The offense just seems pretty bland. Daboll, even though he wasn't as good as everyone remembers, always sprinkled in some interesting plays, some trick plays, etc. Dorsey needs to at least be doing that.
  12. Hopefully they shake some things up. Unfortunately, we seem to have an offense full of high variance players. Outside of Diggs, but even he has a bad drop here and there. Knox is having just a putrid year. Bench him. Make him prove that he deserves to be out there. Maybe rotate Sherfield in for Davis more and see what he can do. Shakir too. Dorsey needs to get more tricky, fun plays into the offense. Something to scheme up when things aren't working.
  13. Gotta wait and see how things play out. It's a long season.
  14. I see where you are coming from and I somewhat agree, at least partially. But Allen needs to be able to play a boring, efficient game and stick with it for an entire game if that is what it takes for him to win that game. Ideally, that would be 70% of the games you play in the regular season. That other 30%, though, and in the playoffs, the "mad bomber" Allen needs to be able to come out when he is called upon. The perfect form of Allen is when he is able to turn it on and turn it off, sometimes in the same game, depending on what the situation calls for. This latest iteration of Allen is him learning how to play calmly and efficiently for full stretches of games, which is a super important step in his progression, even if it is boring sometimes.
  15. Cry me a river...
  16. How about 2-0? That would be fun.
  17. Bills - 23 Patriots - 13 And more crying that we didn't score more points.
  18. He's very good, but he has the ability to play poorly. His ceiling is as high as any QB in NFL history. His floor is lower than some of the other elite QB's in the game right now. But what is great about him is his ability to keep getting better and raising that floor.
  19. He is obviously a #2 receiver. He just isn't a great #2. He could go to a struggling team like the Pats and be a big upgrade for them. He is a solid player.
  20. Non-Bills sports? What is that?
  21. Hmm, I'm not sure I agree about it not being a natural human response. Part of the fight or flight response is fight, and it can literally mean throwing yourself violently at another human. I've experienced it and it is like instinct takes over and you lose control for a moment. And the way a lot of boys play when they are younger shows that violent physical contact is very ingrained in many. That's why boys come up with so many dangerous games all the time. Adrenaline and physical confrontation is an inherent desire of many young men. Not all, for sure, but many. Football is kind of the perfect sport to actualize many of those deep desires for physical confrontation and manifest them in a semi-productive manner. You aren't a psycho. It is very normal.
  22. Someone has been filling his head with nonsense. I don't know anything about him besides this. I'm already looking forward to rooting against him.
  23. What a moron.
  24. I disagree. You don't have to twist your weight into the back of their legs to make the tackle. In fact, that is not usually what you see in pursuit tackles. Defenders can ensure they don't launch their own weight into the back of the ball carrier's legs. Their weight can go to the ground instead.
