  1. I guess. But Jason Croom had one less target than Clay this year and had a better year. Not sure Clay was ever going to be a 70 catch, 1000 yard, ten touchdown player. Guess we will never know. But aside from one Miami game he was never a deep threat or catch and run tight end.
  2. Charles Clay was a victim of the money paid to him. He has all the talent in the world and had a great 2013 season for Miami. He was an average to above average tight end in the league who got paid like he was an elite talent, and he never was. Up until last year he was a good tight end who people expected to be Gronk or Travis Kelce because he got paid like them. The last two years Clay has been more in the class of Jordan Reed or Greg Olsen. Talented player who couldn't stay healthy. Glad we had him for a few years. Glad we are moving on. I think the one year contract says a lot.
  3. He will be 30 years old, hasn't scored a touchdown since 2016, and was hurt most of last year. Its a big time pass for me. He has been a notorious underachiever.
  4. I think thats a pretty great idea.
  5. Couldn't be apprehended because of the weather. Ok then.
  6. So what came of the report of the bottle of what smelled like bleach that came out yesterday? Was it bleach? Was it also a bottle of homeless people? Inquiring minds need to know.
  7. Preston Smith Defensive End Washington- Wont have to break the bank like you will for Clowney or Lawrence. He is young, hasnt missed a game, and athletic. I think his best football is ahead of him. Ja'Waun James Right Tackle Miami- Would almost prefer Daryl Williams here but the injury history scares me a bit. James has more starting experience and is the same age. Probably will cost a bit of money but he would solidify the right side for the foreseeable future. Jesse James Tight End Pittsburgh- Could start or provide depth. Most likely going to need two tight ends either in free agency or the draft. Jordan Phillips Defensive Tackle Buffalo- He isn't a gamebreaker but he does provide solid depth. Figure on him being a late signing because I think he is looking for more than Buffalo is offering. Again, probably need two defensive tackles this offseason. David Mayo Outside Linebacker Carolina- Was a Beane and McDermott guy in Carolina. Can add to special teams and provide depth. I like Tyrell Williams but I dont think he is a number one wideout, would rather draft one in the first round and develop them. Even if they fail you spend a lot less money on the player than you would if you get one in free agency. I am glad the front office is planning to be smart. Dont overpay in free agency.
  8. And here comes the draft hype. Maybe he will be amazing in the NFL, no one really knows. But when I watched the games on this guy, I saw a very athletic guy who ran nothing but fades and go routes. He may look great on a highlight reel but the game tape, IMO, showed a guy who didnt block, didnt run a full route tree, and probably wasnt the best wideout on his team. Its great that he is jacked, maybe he can be a model, but he has more abs than career touchdowns.
  9. Yes, he will be gone along with Malik Jackson, Leonard Fournette (Trade to Eagles for Foles?), Blake Bortles and Tashaun Gipson. They really did a number on their cap.
  10. T He is starting somewhere along the line. You don't pay someone 4.3 million a year to compete for a spot.
  11. That contract makes him the 16th highest paid center, or the 19th highest paid guard. Thats close to the middle of the league at both positions. I'd put my money on him being the starter at one of those positions. Not a lot of 4.3 million dollar backups in the NFL at Oline.
  12. Great Wideouts are created by playing with great quarterbacks. No doubt this guy is a unique talent, however his career would be a lot more like that of Lee Evans had he not played with Big Ben. Would have been better served to realize what a blessed life he was leading rather than thinking he was the entire show. Predicting he goes out with a puff of dust rather than the fireworks his ego expects. As much as he thinks he gets to choose where he goes next, I am hoping upon hope the Steelers trade him to Arizona.
  13. Did you ever sell any of this stuff? I am looking for an OJ, Andre and Thomas rookie card. Also looking for the Kelly USFL rookie.
  14. Is there anyway his birth certificate actually says Lil Jordan?
  15. I'd be more interested in the picture that shows him running anything other than a go route or blocking well.
  16. Looks like they beat the NBA in ratings for last night
  17. So is the game today not on locally?
  18. I enjoyed it. Liked not having kick offs more than I thought I would and the speed of the game has been better than expected. I'll tune in tomorrow but too late on the east coast to watch the rest of it.
  19. Making too much of a deal out of a rotational guy who shouldn't be paid more than 2 million dollars a year. He is a average to slightly above average player, who just happened to get cut from the team that drafted him. The delay is the Bills offering him what he is worth, and he and his agent waiting to see if they get more in the open market. It's a good Defensive Tackle class, and the Bills should be playing this slow. No need to rush over Jordan Phillips. He is fun to watch, but having him or not having him wont make much of a difference overall.
  20. I work in Regulatory Affairs for a Medical Device company. Does that count?
  21. I dont disagree with you. These leagues usually dont have much of a shot. However, with this one allowing players to go straight from High School we will at the very least see if College can survive without recruits, or if the recruits finally figure out they arent the ones driving college football. My guess is CFB will just find other players and move on.
  22. We will have to see. I feel like college football is slowly coming apart at the seams with players sitting out bowl games, and people pushing for players to be paid (which I dont think should ever happen). The Pacific Football League, or whatever they are calling it could be damaging to college football with their allowing players to play directly out of high school and get paid to do so.
  23. Ill give it a whirl. No different than watching college football to see who could make the training camp roster. It's also still a good time of year to stay in and watch the games.
  24. When people made fun of Brady for kissing his kid on the lips I thought it was a bit overboard. However, this is just bizarre. You don't kiss grown men on the lips. Even the cheek would be a little weird.
