Random Jets Fan Experiences Bills Comeback Win
thenorthremembers replied to mykidsdad's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This pretty much sums up my experience with Jets fans over the last 25 years. There isnt a franchise I like less because of their fans. It seems like there is a subset of Long Island born UB kids that find their way to Bills home games every year and act like total jerks. Not surprising the best player in their franchise history is a fur coat wearing, panty hose endorsing, drunk. -
Feliciano is a beast! Watch
thenorthremembers replied to MtlBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Looks a lot like Incognito on those plays. Love it. -
He may be healthy but he has only had about 5 games in his entire career better than Sweeney had yesterday. He is a veteran but he was signed for potential as well. Hopefully he lives up to it.

OBJ Wears $250K Watch During Game
thenorthremembers replied to JP's Voice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont think he put that much thought into it. I say that because he comes across as having the mindset of an angst ridden 15 year old. I dont think he wants to offend people. I think he cares a whole lot about people thinking he is a cool trend setter. He likes being a celebrity. -
PFF really hates Josh Allen
thenorthremembers replied to PirateHookerMD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem with the write-up is it's making sweeping generalizations based on less than a season worth of work. Quoting the turnovers without context is foolish. Saying "he is just not very good" is also a little bit of a stretch at this point. But level headed doesnt really get the reaction they are looking for does it. Much rather have a QB with nerves of steel go win us a game, than try and play it safe to appease PFF. Its all a wait and see. -
Mutiny in Miami after Blow out Loss
thenorthremembers replied to Golden Goat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wrong, Stills is partly to blame. He called the owner out for supporting Trump, not racism. Fake news. On the other hand Ross is a dipstick for not knowing who to trust with his franchise. -
Are we concerned about Beasley’s hands ?
thenorthremembers replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is a more than serviceable #3, but I think he has shown he is good at getting open with suspect hands. The problem is they dont have a real #2. Zay is still Zay, and somehow Foster was behind Dimarco on the WR depth chart. I fully expect to see Foster at the #2 spot consistently next week. -
Taron Johnson hamstring injury

I thought both Johnson and Neal were bad today. Missed tackles galore, and the 2 point conversion on Neal was crap. -
Does AB set a dangerous precedent?
thenorthremembers replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it wasnt the worst franchise in football handling the situation it would have been different. The Raiders came out of this looking like complete idiots. They lost a 3rd and a 5th for a player that never played a down for them and somehow found a way to strengthen a team in their own conference in doing so. They were my Dads team when I was growing up so I have always had a soft spot for them. But I cannot stand how stupid they are. -
First thing I'd do is try to find any team with an overpaid wideout and try to trade AB straight up for the player. The Chiefs, Bengals, Redskins, 49ers, and Bills are the only teams who could legitimately afford AB at his current price. See if KC or Cinci will take him on for Watkins or A.J. Green straight up. If that doesnt work, I'd be making sure to see if I could find a way to void the contract given his bs. The only other option they have is to keep him. They cant eat the dead cap.

The team went 9-6-1 and missed the playoffs. Juju had 111 receptions 1426 yards and 7 touchdowns. The mistake Brown is making is in thinking his talent eclipses the team. He didnt score 15 touchdowns he caught them. Someone will step in and take his place. Its what happens when you play with great quarterbacks. See Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes, and Mike Wallace. Wideouts were catching 10 plus touchdowns before AB in that offense, and they will do it after. Meanwhile the end for AB is getting closer and closer.
-
He was managing him as an individual until he made it clear he felt he was bigger than the organization. As a CEO would you let an employee of yours remain employed if he/she posted an internal document with your signature on it to social media? AB has proven that he cant be managed, it wasnt just Mayock that failed. The Steelers did as well. OBJ is a massive personality. AB has mental issues detrimental to a teams bottom line. If the Raiders win more than 3 to 4 games this year I'd be amazed.

The problem with using statistics to analyze sports games is they tend to group games together, rather than looking at each game for what it is, a single data point in time that will never happen again. All of the variables for a football game are not accounted for because the rosters, the coaches, the weather, and the stadium are never exactly alike. Additionally, the point spread is a made up number calculated in some form, by a human. I love numbers, but I will freely say applying statistics to sports has more to do with bored people who like both statistics and sports wanting to mash them together. I am not saying numbers are useless in sports, by they need to be applied to the portions of the sport with less variables. Win/Loss predictions include way too many variables to be accurate.

If Chad Kelly Was Ever Going to Make It
thenorthremembers replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Reich connection helps. What I am saying is this, if Kelly didnt have NFL level athletic ability he wouldnt be there. If it were as simple as him being Kelly's nephew every one of his nephews would be on an NFL roster. He had enough talent to compete for a starting job in the NFL last year. Then he blew it. As much as his talent is overblown here, I think there is an underlying angst about him being Kelly's nephew which has some posters a bit cloudy about his actual football talent, which is obviously amongst the top one percent in the world given his current and former standing in the league. -
If Chad Kelly Was Ever Going to Make It
thenorthremembers replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry, but he doesn't keep getting opportunities because he is Jim's nephew with mediocre talent. Jim has plenty of other nephews who played football at the college level and didnt make it to the NFL just because they were his nephew. You dont get scholarships to two Division 1 programs just because you're a hall of famer's nephew. Chad Kelly keeps getting opportunities because he has great talent. Had he not been the head case you speak to, or been hurt during the draft process he probably ends up being a 3rd or 4th round pick. He is tremendously talented. Has he spoiled his talent, yes he has. But make no mistake about it, he has NFL level talent. -
Food for Sunday's Game

Less filler, better for you. Make for better Chili Dogs, but I would say for just a simple hot dog Sahlens is a bit better. -
Zeke 6 years $90 millionw/ $50 mil guarenteed
thenorthremembers replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not upset at this. Sammy Watkins got more per year in KC, and Zeke is 3 times the player he is, albeit at a different position. Should be interesting to see how they pay Dak and keep the oline together. Cooper is going to have to give them a hometown discount. -

I still have the antenna. I probably should have waited it out, just wanted to point and click with TV. -
QB Davis Webb - Meet Bills New #3 QB
thenorthremembers replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All quarterbacks are technically system quarterbacks. Baker Mayfield threw a ton of 3-5 yard passes with the Sooners. Just depends on how they play when they get into a new system. It's hard to tell what a quarterback will be once they change offenses. -
QB Davis Webb - Meet Bills New #3 QB

I liked him a lot coming out of Cal. He has all the tools and seems to be a great leader. The one thing I did notice when watching him in college is the avalanche of bad decisions. Once he starts making bad plays they dont stop.
