  1. Id be in it for the right price. Given what the Bears and Chiefs have given up recently, I am not sure the right price is doable.
  2. Agree here. He played both the 1 and the 3 more than fine. The guy was a six time pro bowler. All the sneaky lunch pail stuff is for the birds. I am pretty sure if you told any GM picking in the Top ten that Ed Oliver would have a career like Kyle Williams they would be all over it. There is no such thing as a college player with "All Pro Talent" You dont know a thing about their talent besides it popped on tape against inferior players.
  3. Some good thoughts here. At first blush it feels like we gave up what adds up to a 3rd round pick to grab D.K. and a 1 tech DT when we really need a 3. I'd be more than happy with D.K. there just not thrilled about the idea of giving up so much ground to move around and only end up with Lawrence. If you go pass catcher and DT Id prefer Metcalf and Tillery.
  4. The Christian Wilkins buzz is heating up. Guess I need to watch a few games.
  5. One of my least favorite Bills of all time. Not wall worthy, not hall worthy.
  6. Tenacious player. He was underused until his senior year but I think he offers a lot, speed, blocking, special teams. See him more as a 3rd round guy.
  7. Agreed. Still reminds me a little too much of Greg Little. But he does seem like a guy they would love to have in the locker room.
  8. I dont like his game tape, but the more I hear about him personality wise and work wise the more I think he is in play.
  9. By Wednesday morning a thousand trades will be reported, one will actually happen.
  10. Same here. Makes too much sense.
  11. Good God do I love the NFL draft!
  12. Been thinking this for a few weeks. They may move up to #1 for Murray. But the one that makes the most sense to me is moving up to #2 to take Bosa, 49ers move down to #4 and take Devin White.
  13. They better alter their expectations or pay the guy. Chandler Jones netted the Pats a late 2nd round pick, at the same age Clark is now with roughly the same output. The Bears killed the market for a trade like this last year. If Beane can get Clark for a 2nd or 3rd, I'd say go for it. Leave the 1st out of the discussions.
  14. Love his work ethic. From what I remember that was never a question. My issue with him remains his pass blocking. He screams guard to me but I've been plenty wrong before.
  15. I honestly think the Jets are full of garbage when it comes to Ed Oliver. They are transitioning to a 4-3 defense with no edge rushers on their roster. I find the story that they are trying to trade down a hell of a lot more likely. That said, I truly hope Beane sticks to his MO and doesnt overplay his hand. I think there are 3 guys along the DLine who I'd consider pretty safe prospects, Oliver, Williams, and Bosa. At this point you probably need to move up to 4 to get any of them, but I'd be extremely torn on giving up a 2nd to do that. Especially given the history of the Bills moving up to number 4 overall.
  16. Maybe they plan to trade up for Murray and don't want anyone to know.
  17. In comparison with Spectrum, DirectTV customer service is incredible. I've never had an issue. The prices are pretty tough sometimes, but they have worked with me quite a bit. I had Sunday Ticket two years ago and liked it, but not enough to keep paying for it. However, if the NFL Network goes I really have no reason to keep it.
  18. I just got done with reading about pattern matching in The Art of Smart Football. Very smart way to stop west coast offenses. It's incredible how little credit we give people involved with football in terms of their intelligence. My brain literally started to hurt trying to follow some of what Dick LeBeau did with Bill Arnsparger's zone blitz concepts.
  19. Because it's not loaded with defensive ends past the 1st round. And even then the 1st round guys all have major questions. I would always take the known over the unknown. And, guys like Josh Allen, Montez Sweat, and Clelin Ferrell may have a hard time getting anywhere near Clowney in the league.
  20. Fast and dangerous with the ball. I would say he needs to get better in the hands department though.
  21. Agree. His hands are insane. I just don't like how it ends up for him when lineman get their hands on him. Everyone has bad games but Georgia got after him pretty good.
  22. Absolutely loved him with the Jets. Thats what I see when I watch Williams. I don't think he gives you as much flexibility as Oliver, but I also don't think he is Dareus.
