  1. No. I am telling you the documented head injuries for kids who participate in these sports at an amateur level are similar. CTE is different than a head injury. However, plenty of research shows the likelihood of a Hockey Player developing CTE is similar to a football player considering the force of hits in those sports. I dont see a lot of outrage for amateur hockey players. The bottom line is football is a more popular sport and more likely to gain attention which is where the outrage comes from. Head injuries, which again are not CTE, are similar in Soccer, Lacrosse, and Gymnastics due to the likelihood of contact to the head.
  2. I gave in and let my kid play this year, he has been asking since he was 5. I made sure I could coach as I wanted to be as close to the field as possible. With that said, the studies out there for public consumption say Soccer, Lacrosse, Gymnastics, and Wrestling all have comparable head injury rates.
  3. You have a 200 million dollar cap next year, and a Qb still 3 years away from his payday. Youre going to need to pay someone. Id love a 6"5 255 pound defensive end who played 83% of his teams defensive stats on my team. I am all for it.
  4. If I were the Colts I'd be calling the Giants and seeing what they want for Eli.
  5. Six passes. Please God let this preseaon end already.
  6. I had to go back and watch it. It was brutal, but a bit conflicted on how dirty it was. Aaron had his eyes on the ball carrier and didnt look at Jarvis until a second before he got smacked. Jarvis certainly wasn't using any sort of blocking technique so in that sense it really isnt part of the game because he was hitting more than he was blocking but a lot of chip blocks on a defender coming backside look a lot like that, just not in the speed of the open field. In comparison the Gronk elbow drop was after a play, out of bounds and a wrestling move.
  7. Exactly, youre going out to keep things light. Life is stressful enough, and people get so weird about money. Best thing to do is try to avoid those sort of situations.
  8. Agreed. Anything else is awkward and for some reason so many people wait until the bill comes to decide.
  9. Granted my wife and I dont go out with other couples often, but we do have one close set of friends. For me, I'd rather just pay the bill for our friends, and not have to worry about splitting the bill or figuring out who ate what and how much. Now that we have done this a couple times, the other couple will just offer to take us to dinner. The next time we do the same. Its worked into a nice cadence and no one has to worry or be weird about money.
  10. I think the exact opposite. I think both he and Antonio Brown are going to find out that its not quite as easy without Big Ben.
  11. There is only a handful of players I'd ever want to see the Bills give up a first for, and they are all quarterbacks.
  12. Feel like the teams that make the most sense are Tampa Bay and LAC. I also think any team that trades a draft pick for a over 30 running back is out of their mind. If you wanted to get real creative on this one we could start talking about a trade involving Shady and Melvin Gordon.
  13. I agree, I dont think the Eagles are giving up a 3rd for McCoy with Sanders and Howard already there. However, I've never thought the Bills were going to keep both McCoy and Gore going into the season. I think its been a competition from the outset between those two guys, and one of them isn't making the opening day roster.
  14. He loves Tyrod, RG3, and Kaepernick as well. Thinks they all got raw deals while, and I quote "Big Slow White Guys" keep getting second chances. What can you do except turn off the radio.
  15. Apologies, given your other response I thought you were serious. I may be a bit touchy about the subject. Should have considered the forum we are in.
  16. To speak to your other comment, no I dont feel its my responsibility to keep civilization going. But it wouldnt hurt to have a few more kids with strong faith and values in the world. I love being a Dad. I adore my wife, and my large family. Wouldnt have it any other way. I can afford my family, and try incredibly hard not to bring my family to places where I feel like people may be inconvenienced by us. I try to respect the fact that other people dont appreciate the way I choose to live my life. Oddly enough, there seems to be more patience for people who have no boundaries with their dogs, than there is with people who have large families.
  17. My 6th child is on the way in September. They are all amazing blessings, however I can verify he better give up any activity not involving his kids or wife.
  18. Not sure you have to pay Jaylon, he is a restricted free agent. If they are smart they will tender him at the 1st round level. Agree on Zeke, you make him wait. If he wont play I'd send him packing for a 1st, which they will get. He is a great player, but is also a huge headache and not worth 20 million dollars. You pay Dak, and Amari and trade Zeke.
  19. Kicks? That was sad to see man. I am sorry about your friend. The turn out for the memorial looked to be overwhelming, well loved guy.
  20. Interested in week 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9. Not sure which games you're selling?
  21. I heard they started doing this to keep sand flies away while drinking.
  22. I dont think its the scheme. Hausch Money looks to have lost power in his kicking leg. Dont feel confident in the guy at all right now.
  23. I imagine they sell them that high to cut down on the amount of people who get absurdly wasted at the games. Bills fans already come in trashed, do you really need more beer after youve been drinking all morning?
