  1. Mason Rudolph, Baker Mayfield and Luke Falk all had great games though
  2. Said it many times on here, dont get the fascination with Rosen. His film doesnt lie he is inaccurate and doesnt win football games. Lots of excuses for this kid. 9 for 23 says it all.
  3. Mason Rudolph and Baker Mayfield were my favorites going into the season and they both showed out huge in week 1. Darnold is a tough on to figure out huge wind up like Byron Leftwich but he is a winner. Josh Allen has amazing arm talent some of the best Ive ever seen. Just not sure he is a legit NFL Qb. Think Rosen is 100% hype. His tape is about as average as they come, dont get the Rodgers comparisons with sub 60% completion percentage.
  4. Really like Mason Rudolph and feel like he will be the QB that starts climbing draft boards when the season starts. Also really like James Washington but feel like round three is a little low for him. As it stands right now, and its early, I'd expect him to go late round one. I'd say the same for Chubb who is currently considered as a 1st round pick. Otherwise this looks good to me.
  5. Wasnt Edwards one of the designers of that interactive football simulator for NFL QB's aimed at showing real game scenarios to speed up development? Pretty sure it was called the 3 and Out and focused heavily on unblocked corners and safeties coming unblocked off the edge.
  6. What I remember from that Browns game is they couldnt move the ball at all until they put Manziel in. If he cared about football at all during that time I think the worst he would have been was someone like Tyrod Taylor, he had the talent. Complete waste, but maybe he has a Flutie sort of comeback. You never know.
  7. Followed quickly by this: The TSN report regarding the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats and quarterback Johnny Manziel is partially right, and its’ partially dead wrong. Yes, the Tiger-Cats have given Manziel a workout. But, no, they haven’t decided that he’s not ready to resume his football career, due to “too many red flags” or otherwise. .http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/08/30/source-tiger-cats-remain-very-interest-in-johnny-manziel/
  8. John Holacek Antwoin Smith Kurt Schultz Jeff Burris Angelo Crowell George Wilson Butch Rolle Looking back over the roster I also found my least favorite Bill of all time. Bennie "Turnstyle" Anderson. Those olines in the Losman/Holcomb/Edwards time frame were just God awful.
  9. His contract was terminated when he became a suspect in the Odin Llyod deal. He was involved in a shooting prior to that, granted not a suspect in that shooting but they were aware of him being there. They were also aware of his ties to gang activity coming out of Florida. Pretty well documented that he liked to show off his gang related tattoos to his coaches. They were aware of him being a bad guy, and the ties he had with unfavorable people. They turned a blind eye to that until it was obvious he was going to face charges.
  10. I am pretty sure the murder in Boston happened while he was still a part of the team. They knew what he was capable of, and were also very aware of his gang ties when they drafted him. They didnt release him until it was readily apparent to the entire world he was a murderer.
  11. Agreed. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but Jordan Matthews arrived via Buffalo Airport and they send the private jet for JJ Nelson? Not likely. This is the only site that has any report of this being a possibility. Not going to hold my breath on this one.
  12. Its clear the players currently on the roster couldnt win one, so you need draft picks to get the players who can. Part of the process.
  13. I concur with this 100%. Should be moved to the UW-Oshkosh game asap.
  14. Big Notre Dame fan and watching him over two years there he reminded me a lot of E.J, Manuel. Big, good arm, athletic but just made a lot of bad throws and poor decisions. That said, I wasnt high on him coming out.. We will see I suppose. I will say I love what the Browns have done over the last few years. I was actually excited to watch them Monday and I never watch NFL Preseason outside of the Bills. They were fun to watch on defense, really flying around. Peppers looks like a good pick as well.
  15. The hit was clean, the reaction was not. I felt like I was watching the WWE.
  16. Think you end up with Matthews Jones Holmes Brown Tate Powell Reilly or Dez Lewis Think Streater ends up on IR. Not sure how anyone thinks this is any worse than last year. Watkins was hurt, Woods was and is a subpar number 2, Goodwin shouldnt have been anything more than a kick returner, and then you had Powell, Justin Hunter, and Brandon Tate. Not to mention the Percy Harvin experiment. Bottom line is for the most part pass catchers are the creation of pass throwers. With a good quarterback Matthews, Jones, and Holmes are plenty good enough.
  17. Agree here. The guy averaged 8.7 yards a reception last year. Has no business being on the boundary.
  18. His exact quote on Alabama players "OK, raise the SAT requirement at Alabama and see what kind of team they have." So yes, that is very close to saying Alabama players are less educated than players at other schools, or wouldnt be able to make it at other schools due to their lack of education or intelligence. How is that not close? Secondly, the fact that he wore the hat is a fact. You made an assumption he didnt pay to golf there. Third, just because the person you are being vulgar about is indeed vulgar, it does not negate the fact you're being vulgar and disrespectful. Not going to get into it about the President. Lastly, I dont rightfully care if he is a jerk, Just dont want him on the Bills.
  19. Ill help, Hot tub in his dorm room Wearing a hat adorned with a curse word on it relating to our President while golfing at a golf course the President owns. Stereotyping players who go to Alabama as uneducated people who wouldnt make it at other colleges How much do you think it costs to golf at Trump's course? Just following up on the arrogant rich kid portion here.
  20. Going to have to agree to disagree on this one. Could make the point that the quarterback’s level on play is what elevated the remainder of the team and had them on the board to be drafted in the first place. Good points on the number of players drafted on those teams. Just wondering how many of those same players were quality draft picks in the NFL? Just dont think Rosen is anywhere near the player he is made out to be, particularly in the areas of accuracy, leadership, ball security and winning. He has a nice arm, but its not special. He isn’t overly accurate, not even 60% (recognize his stats aren’t inflated because of the prostyle offense) and he hasn’t played in or won enough games for me to consider him a high or even low 1st round pick. I think Darnold and Rudolph will both be better pros. Also think Mayfield will be better but recognize how much of a wild card he is. For what its worth I love Allen’s arm but think he is overrated as well. The good news is I am just some goof who isn’t paid a dime to try and figure these things out, so I could be completely wrong.
  21. Understood, we are just on completely different ends of the spectrum. I think if you look at the successful teams in the NFL, one thing sets them apart and that’s their Quarterback. The difference in margin of talent in the NFL is so minimal, that you need to find the equalizer, and the equalizer, at least in my opinion is the man who has the ball in his hands the most throughout the game. To your point on win-loss percentage, I also disagree. Going back to 2012 draft class (excluding the last two draft classes, too early to speak to it) five Quarterbacks appear to have a proven track record in the NFL; Winston, Mariota, Carr, Luck, Wilson and Cousins. Not one of those players had a win percentage under 61% in college. The lowest of that group was Carr who lost 16 games, and 9 of those games were in his first year of starting. I think your example of Goff is perfect to my point, no doubt that he was fun to watch in college but he only won 37% of his games, and it was clear he shouldn’t have been the first quarterback taken.
  22. It's quite possible I am dense, but having a hard time understanding what inference this article is attempting to make about Rosen? Appears they are blaming the OC for the team’s struggles, but for me that’s a flimsy argument. Like I said, I may be dense and am missing the point. Rosen has only won 57% of his starts at UCLA, and only 27% against quality opponents. Is he talented sure, a lot of kids at the college level are. What I fail to get is all the hype around him. Personally I think he ends up a backup in the NFL. Could I be wrong, of course? I just dont see it with him. Neither the statistical results nor the film jump out as warranting a 1st Round grade.
  23. Not a fan of Rosen, and not only because his "hot takes" are trite. For all the hype surrounding the guy his film is less than thrilling. Reminds me a lot of the Brad Kaaya situation from last year. Tall enough plays in a pro-style offense, but for all of his intelligence holds the ball way too long and takes a ton of sacks. On top of that he isn’t a winner, and isn’t all that impressive against ranked opponents. On the opposite end of things all that Baker Mayfield does is win and flash on film, with very little first round hype because of his size. I don’t think the spread offense thing should be downplayed; however it only takes one team to look over that, see Deshaun Watson and Houston. Josh Allen’s arm is unreal, I mean about as special as special gets. But, when he starts making mistakes watch out, it’s like an avalanche. One player who I think will shoot up the boards near draft time is Mason Rudolph. He checks almost all the boxes. Size, Big Arm, Winner and can make all the throws. Right now I’d consider these players in the 1st Round Darnold Rudolph Mayfield Allen If he comes out Rosen will slip, for what its worth.
