I really wish this signing meant something to me, however, it does not......so i really don't care. sorry......not sorry.

I actually think he was borderline elite when he was with Minnesota, but not much he has done since coming here has shown to me that he is in the elite category on this roster. Good, sometimes great and even dependable, but i don't see elite. I see a fantastic route runner who understands assignments and the intricacies of the game, but his age is catching up with him and his ability to create separation and YAC has diminished on an almost shocking level lately.

I'm not sold on him.........sorry, not sorry.

Joe Marino's Locked on Bills Mock Free Agency
Sweats replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was onboard with it until i heard Zeke......nay, i say......big time nay. -
It's a win/win for both sides. Baker gets a little security and won't have to be the "gun for hire" for a couple of years and the Bucs don't have to rush into getting their QB of the future anytime soon. They can be patient and take their time in assessing all available viable options. I think the Bucs have done their due diligence on this on.

I actually don't think Diggs is elite. I think he's good, sometimes great, but elite?......he's not a player you can build a franchise around. He was good in Minnesota and he's been good at times here, but i certainly wouldn't put him in the category of elite.

We did it for 20 years with nothing to show for it. Now, we're in a pretty good spot with our franchise QB, with still nothing to show for it.

Steelers are a good place for him to showcase any gas in the tank and its a win/win for everybody, except Denver.....i have no idea what the hell they're doing over there.

Diggs - will he resurface as the Bills go to WR in 2024?
Sweats replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you only have one viable WR on your roster, it won't take D's too long to figure out that if you take him away, the team is at their mercy for answers on O. -
And people thought Mac and Cheese was going to be next GOAT.........bwahahahahahahahahaha. The media even went so far as to start calling him the "baby GOAT". My god.....

Alright, i'm finally going to weigh in on this.... The way i define elite talent is, a roster you can build a franchise around. The Bills of the 90's had Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Reed, Lofton, Biscuit, Talley, Bruce Smith, House Ballard, Tasker, etc.....you take any one or two of these players and you can build a franchise around them and it's not even debatable.....i'm not even going to include coaching cause a team with that much talent basically coached themselves.....Levi, Marchibroda and Polian all but admitted that. That was some high-end elite talent right there and they went as far as that talent could take them. The roster we have today is JA, that's it. Everyone else on our roster is expendable. There is no one else you could possibly build a franchise around. Our roster is simply adequate and serviceable.....and by adequate, i mean it's good, but not good enough as we've seen year in and year out where we just can't get it done. It's serviceable where our FO thinks they can just plug and play and hopefully not miss a beat, however, we have no foundation, no building blocks in place to expand upon. We have what we have, that's it. I'm of the mindset of creating a young team where they can gel, bond and grow together. It seems the FO was forced this year through cap hell to finally look at a younger roster.....and i'm fine with that. I have spoken.

You gotta use hand and foot warmers.......60% of the time, it works every time.

I think I have to bail on all offseason NFL media coverage
Sweats replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hate listening to the media explain what the Bills need to do to beat KC........they know there's like 30 other teams in the league, right? I really don't care what we need to do to beat KC. I really only care about what we need to do to beat everybody and hoist that Lombardi at the end of the season. -
The question that Miami has to consider, is Tua worth a mid to high contract? Depending on what that franchise feels he's worth, the Fins could be cash-strapped for quite a few years, with zero results to show for it. When the bill comes due in Miami, that team is going to be hurting. I see people laughing at the Bills right now on social media because of the cap purge Beane has been doing all week, however, i think the Fins are going to really feel it within a few years.....i think their window is closing fast.

You see, i just can't feel any sympathy for people choosing to stand out in the cold and then complain that it's too cold or making the decision to freeze their extremities for a football game. Come on people, were smarted than this.......aren't we?!?

Bills DL.......how many come back to the Bills on 1 year contracts??
Sweats replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
As unrealistic as it may sound, i don't want any of them besides Floyd and he ain't coming back here without cash in hand, so...... -
I just don't think he is a guy you can consistently have at the position in big games.

The free agent safety market is unbelievable
Sweats replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would have liked to have had most of these guys when they were in their prime, however, this list today is nothing i would cash strap a franchise for. -
Very lazy, unimaginable signing right there.

Yeah!!!......like another Elam.......ugh. I might have actually uttered this same phrase after some of our heartbreaking losses.
-
First off, we should have never drafted him and secondly Trade, Trade, Trade......get him outta here.

DT Foley Fatukasi Meeting with Bills Today-Signed by Texans
Sweats replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm okay with this......get a big bodied boy to stuff the middle -
Yeah, you could actually witness some players slowing down as the season went on. I'm of the mindset that once players start getting a little long in the tooth and can't perform to the highest level, you have to start letting these guys go......it's nothing personal, it's a business and a franchise that keeps personnel due to the fact that it becomes personal, isn't running their business effectively.
