You know Mahomes can run, don't you?......if there's no one at the line, then what's to stop him from running up the gut, picking up some serious yards and calling a quick TO? I see what you're getting at, but you gotta have someone at the LOS, perhaps 2-3 guys to keep Mahomes honest. You know that if there was no one home and Mahomes cut off a deep run, the media would have a field day of why McD didn't keep some guys there.

Like, no one at the line or guys just standing around?.......what are you talking about?!?

If you watch JA in college, you'll see he plays the exact same way in the NFL.......and i believe the fans all love him for it.

You know, for years i've always just wanted the big "splash" player in the drafts, but i saw an interview with The Hoodie a couple of years back and it completely changed my mindset. I can't remember the interview word for word, but it was basically about how a good OLineman can anchor the trenches for years, help protect the QB (arguably a teams biggest asset)....they are for the most part fairly cheap at re-negotiating contracts, no divas involved and can play the position for a long time. The interview actually made a lot of sense to me and completely changed my whole mindset.

Anyone but McConkey and Corum.......i'm a simple man, that's all i ask.
-
Yeah, he was fairly solid in college, but it was that one hit that made his career. The media replayed that hit on every station every 10 minutes, so it was no wonder his stock soared up the charts after that one.....he basically became a household name overnight.

I would certainly hope McD's feeling the pressure.......a top 5 D the past 5 years and can still barely win a playoff game. "Trust the process".......if the process involves colossal collapses of his D in big games, then the "process" is working. No lead is ever safe, and heaven help us if a game goes down to the wire cause dollars to doughnuts, the odds are against us with penalties, piss poor clock management, etc. We've been trusting the process for about 7 years now......when does it actually come to fruition?

I got lost driving through Jacksonville one time a few years back and wow, i saw some garbage, underbelly seedy sections of town.......told my wife to roll up the windows, lock the doors and don't make any eye contact with any of the filthy degenerates wandering around. The whole place was just gross. To this day, i still can't believe they would ever put a stadium and a football franchise anywhere near that **** hole.
-
Have you ever seen Jacksonville, i mean actually been there and seen it?........the whole place is a cesspool.

The guy has barely seen the field in 2 years........i'd say 8mil is a little much -

That seems like a lot of money for a guy who's blown his tire twice..... -
Yeah, these poor, poor coaches making millions of dollars a year getting fired and seemingly finding another coaching job the next day is very unfortunate.........my friggin heart bleeds for them.

........2nd best with nothing to show for it is the definition of mediocre, with a hint of inept.

I'm happy that you are satisfied with mediocre, however, i expect a little more, so.....

Replay Review Approved for Game Clock Expiration before Snap

Whatever benefits KC will be what they go with -
Correct.......throw in a HC with piss poor clock management, plays not to lose, plays scared and a D that folds like a cheap suit and you're on the right track.

Here's how my brain envisions an onside kick...... Reminds me of lil Ralphy in the Simpsons.... "I heard your dad went into a restaurant and then he ate everything in the restaurant and then they had to close the restaurant".......we're going to do an onside kick, the refs and the other team knows there's an onside kick, so everybody prepares for an onside kick. It's got excitement written all over it.......the suspense is killing me. UGH

I think the pressure Mcd is feeling is that he consistently puts a good D on the field every year, however, it consistently fails every year......for a D minded HC, that has to be rough. The D fails year after year, and he seemingly has very little answers.
-
And yet, how many times can you focus on the D and just have it completely collapse year in and year out? No lead is safe with this team, as we've seen countless times. I know everybody likes to praise him cause he helped get us out of 18 years with no playoffs, but when does the accountability start? He has only proven that he can get us into the playoffs, nothing more. I am starting to agree with some posters on here that we should have a high-flying caliber O and throw up as much points as possible and let the D fend for themselves.
-
.....lame
-
The O didn't play well in the 2nd half that's true, however, even with mistakes they played well enough to win. The D had another one of its monumental collapses. Like come on, it's not like the Texans were a powerhouse. Our D was ranked in the top 5 that year and held Houston to zero points in the first half. Then the 2nd half comes along with zero adjustments (which McD never does) and we're a sieve and giving up 19 straight points to lose the game. How anyone could ever defend this clown is beyond me.
-
Well, when a HOF multiple SB winning HC says it, then it sounds believable, acceptable and meaningful. When McClappy says it, he sounds like a whiny little *****, with zero answers and trying to show some self-justification to the media and why he should keep his job.

Anyone else feeling pretty good with the Bills?
Sweats replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like the look of our O......i think who we've got on the roster so far is manageable, however, we still need a few pieces, like WR, depth RB, blah, blah, blah. What really terrifies me is our D......falls apart and collapses in big moments and i don't see much in the way of improvement so far. -
Did the O play perfect against the Texans?.......no, but they still had the team up by 16 points at the half. Watch the game again and you'll see the monumental collapse of the D in the 2nd half. It was totally and utterly disgusting. All the D had to do was hold on to the lead......just stop something, which they couldn't.......which is what Bills fans expect every time the D takes the field.
-
The guy always played well against us........we pick him up and.......nothing to write home about. I think it was just another case of being mis-used, mis-managed or age/injury catching up with him. Enjoy your retirement.
