  1. So, this draft actually kind of fell just about where everyone thought it would......except the Bills not making a move for a WR, Penix going to the Falcons (still a head scratcher), but regardless, not a whole lot of surprises or teams jockeying for position. I was hoping for the draft of a lifetime..........in my opinion, this day one was a dud.
  2. A couple of things..... * This is no place to be reasonable * I have no idea what the FO is planning.......and neither do you * I imagine somewhere, someone has a plan * It made me sick that i stayed up till 11:30 last night to watch a Bills pick that didn't happen * That is all......carry on
  3. Oh, you're giving me wayyyyyyyyyy too much credit here............i'm like minute by minute.......on a good day.
  4. I can't really say if i like what he did in the 1st round cause i don't even know what he did. Traded our spots in the 1st, twice for zero picks in the first but got his 3rd rounder and stockpiled 5ths?..........is that right?
  5. I don't feel bad for Cousins, i feel bad for Penix........if they sit him behind Cousins for a couple of years, Penix could essentially be like 27 by the time he ever sees the field. This, in my opinion is a very bad move by the Falcons.
  6. I don't.......i'm a hot mess.
  7. You know, i was the biggest supporter of just letting the board fall to us and see what's left, but i'm leaning towards swinging for the fences this year. I mean, what we've been doing hasn't been working to get us over the hump, so let's try something different. Here's what i'm thinking.......i think i would rather swing for the fences or swing for that homerun and have a miss, than not swing at all or just go after middle of the road, mediocre and take no step forward in the team's progression. Stagnant is stagnant, no matter how you cut it. We gotta elevate this team to the next level and that's why i'm kind of leaning a little more to making a splash this draft.
  8. Oh, i've added some real dandy's
  9. I so wanted to read this, however, my boss is breathing down my neck today.........i'm looking forward to reading it when that prick goes for lunch.
  10. 35 pages deep for pure conjecture and speculation.........not bad.
  11. Diggs will be the honorary captain.
  12. If you can bet on the color of the Gatorade being dumped on the HC in the SB, you can bet on anything.......nothing surprises me anymore. In fact, if they ever bring out a contest to see how many times a guy can take a ballpein hammer swing to the nuts, i'll bet they'll have betting on that too........i'm also betting that number is one.
  13. I like anybody named "Chop"
  14. I live out in the boonies and the only premium channel i get is the NFL network, so.......
  15. That was the best draft ever and i'm hoping Bill brings this back again this year.......lol
  16. It would probably be the same odds as when Dallas picked Aikman.........everybody knew it was coming for months before the draft.
  17. I have no idea why so much love for McConkey. I mean, he was good in college, in college schemes as a gadget guy, but i don't know how that equates into our needs on the team. If we were looking for a smaller slot guy, then yeah, maybe pick McConkey but that's not what we're looking for. And i pray to Christ that if Beane has never heard me before, i hope he's hearing me now that we can surely do better than McConkey can't we?........which i know he isn't listening cause at the end of the day, who am i? I have problems.
  18. Bo Callahan always reminded me of Darnold, Clausen, Mallet, etc.........you know, guys like that. Nothing real special long term, but real special on draft day.
  19. And yet, we can't beat them...........interesting.........interesting indeed.
  20. I've got a feeling that Cincy is just waiting to see how the draft plays out for them before confronting Higgins with a contract.
  21. I didn't mind it the first time i saw it, but it's soooooooooooooooo totally wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy off base and unrealistic.
  22. My favorite night of the year......idiot analysts talking out their ass all night, making stuff up, playing up the Jets and Browns spectacular picks, poo pooing the Raiders picks, Kiper defending any nonsense that comes out his mouth, etc. It's a great night.
  23. For what it's worth, here's my take..... I don't know x's and o's and i don't know x and y and z WR's......i know none of that, however, i do know that the game philosophy these days is to control the middle. Yes, you want to control the trenches, but controlling the middle has become a huge factor in today's game plans. And contrary to popular belief, we have players that can control the middle, like Knox, Kincaid, Cook, etc. We do need a WR who can stretch the field and help to open the middle up, however, this narrative that we can't win without one is nonsense. I have spoken.
  24. I agree, however, having the 28th pick is not really appealing as trade bait to a whole lot of clubs, i would imagine......and every franchise knows we want a WR, so any flexibility in moving up for anyone of impact will be costly.
