  1. Bo Callahan always reminded me of Darnold, Clausen, Mallet, etc.........you know, guys like that. Nothing real special long term, but real special on draft day.
  2. And yet, we can't beat them...........interesting.........interesting indeed.
  3. I've got a feeling that Cincy is just waiting to see how the draft plays out for them before confronting Higgins with a contract.
  4. I didn't mind it the first time i saw it, but it's soooooooooooooooo totally wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy off base and unrealistic.
  5. My favorite night of the year......idiot analysts talking out their ass all night, making stuff up, playing up the Jets and Browns spectacular picks, poo pooing the Raiders picks, Kiper defending any nonsense that comes out his mouth, etc. It's a great night.
  6. For what it's worth, here's my take..... I don't know x's and o's and i don't know x and y and z WR's......i know none of that, however, i do know that the game philosophy these days is to control the middle. Yes, you want to control the trenches, but controlling the middle has become a huge factor in today's game plans. And contrary to popular belief, we have players that can control the middle, like Knox, Kincaid, Cook, etc. We do need a WR who can stretch the field and help to open the middle up, however, this narrative that we can't win without one is nonsense. I have spoken.
  7. I agree, however, having the 28th pick is not really appealing as trade bait to a whole lot of clubs, i would imagine......and every franchise knows we want a WR, so any flexibility in moving up for anyone of impact will be costly.
  8. I'm going to be hunkered down in my office at home, watching the draft on the big screen, researching prospects and picks on my laptop, drinking Heineken.......no idea what i'm eating yet, but eating is secondary for me on this night.
  9. In the words of the Virgin Mary, ".......come again?"
  10. Well, that pretty well covers it.
  11. All of these QB's will go fairly early in the 1st round, but unfortunately, i don't really see any of them making a meaningful impact in the NFL......maybe Maye, as i see him with the most upside with the least amount of flaws, but the rest are going to fall by the wayside.
  12. I might be in the minority here, but i actually don't mind them.
  13. You are absolutely correct with your question, sir.......for i have also questioned the love of McConkey on these boards for many months. His skillset is much like what we already have on the roster, so i couldn't possibly conceive how our FO would ever want him. #wtfconfused
  14. I don't know, McConkey has always seemed a "gadget" player in college and we've got enough of those guys on the team already........Cook, Kincaid, etc.
  15. What you're saying makes sense, however, Beanes' stated philosophy is to build through the draft every year and you can't do that by blowing your load on one player, leaving very little draft capital left to address other concerns.
  16. The price is going to be too steep to trade within the top 10, maybe even the 11-20 range........i could see a move up a couple of spots within 20, but i think he'll stay at 28, let the board fall to him and carry on......IMO.
  17. I don't know what the hell Denver's doing over there........they're just adding more fuel to the dumpster fire.
  18. One hell of a career for Matty Ice......it's too bad he'll be remembered for the biggest comeback loss in a SB and the regular season. I don't know if that's just plain dumb luck, or.....
  19. That sounds good in theory; however, some idiot would get drunk and jump.
  20. I'm thinking of 3 places.... * Topps.......you know, the friendly market * Wegmans * The Mighty Taco All 3 are staples of the region and would inspire awe, angst and jealousy from all other franchises
  21. It's been a long time since i was looking so forward to a draft. They are usually fairly predictable; however, this one has the makings of being something special and i see a lot of action happening within the first 20 picks. And if you include that there are 7 needy teams for a QB, we may see some jockeying around for premium draft positions.
  22. This is a good write up and as much as i'd like to nit-pick or find something to argue about, i really can't......you've certainly done your homework. Good job.
  23. I don't recall anyone ever blaming the loss on JA, i might be wrong.....
  24. I said FO......apparently, everyone thinks they could do a better job.
