What is your level of patience on not advancing to the Super Bowl?
Sweats replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Participation trophies for everybody!!!.....but seriously, McD should have been let go after the 13 second debacle and i really don't know how anyone could defend him. -

When healthy: we were the best team in the league.
Sweats replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
No matter how much you polish that turd, a turd is a turd. There's no question we need higher caliber players on the roster. Besides, JA, there really is no one to carry the team. * Diggs is getting older and may have lost a step and i think it's starting to show. * I love Cook....loved him in college, but find the hole and hit it, man. Stop juking and jiving behind the line (like a poor man's Reggie Bush) and for christs sakes, don't be afraid to take a hit. Don't even get me started on his hands and dropped balls......ugh. * Kincaid is going to be a stud. He would be about the only one right now that i would put somewhere even close to the caliber of JA, but he's a few years out from his full potential. * Knox?....sometimes has flashes of brilliance, but overall, underwhelming. * Davis is too inconsistent.....move along, nothing to see here. * The entire O line is hit or miss from week to week, but when they do show up, my god the opportunities they create are astounding, however, it's few and far between. We need playmakers on O and it's not even debatable. -

I'll give you the same answer that this franchise has been giving its fans for the past 60 years...........maybe next year. -

Saw it about 3 years ago when it came out.....i ended up fast forwarding alot of it cause some of it is just too painful and i don't want to re-live some of that. -
No way does any team want Diggs with that attitude and contract baggage.

Brady Effect: QBs playing into their 40's the new norm?
Sweats replied to TheFunPolice's topic in The Stadium Wall
Go back and see some of the footage before QB's were protected so much these days. It was brutal warfare going on against the QB's....low hits, chop blocks, guys getting their legs rolled up on, hits to the head, etc. Many of a QB careers were cut short due to the beatings. -
.....and some get worse. Some people either don't change with the times or refuse to change their mental philosophies to keep up with the current ongoing situations, whether by stubbornness or just an ill refusal of change in general. Some just keep plodding away with the same mentality that it has worked in the past, so eventually it may work in the future. We've all seen coaching philosophies that have failed over the years, we've all seen philosophies evolve with the times and situations....coaches that realize the need to change, grow and evolve are the ones hoisting the Lombardi year in and year out. Coaches that are stubborn and refuse to change, grow and evolve are left by the wayside. We see it on "Black Monday" every year.

How'd that work out for us?!?.........Cook......just Cook. Problem with our HC and FO is, they like to draft guys out of scheme with our current personnel and expect to fit a square peg in a round hole.

What separates the Chiefs from every other team…
Sweats replied to Bills Bud's topic in The Stadium Wall
The KC ball washing is getting too over-powering in here. I would rather see a leader pacing the sidelines or talking with guys, then sitting on the bench by themselves with a glazed look in their eyes. -
The Bengals have beaten KC more times in the playoffs.....i'm thinking that means something.

What Rock Song Would You Pick That Reflects The 2023 Bills?
Sweats replied to RevWarRifleman's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Who - Won't get Fooled Again......meet the new boss, same as the old boss sigh -
Here's my way of thinking.... The Bengals are basically the only team in the league that can beat KC consistently. They're proven it time and again. In a copy cat league where teams are trying to emulate, grow and expand their playbooks with different calls, routes, whatever, by watching and learning from other teams, why, oh why are we not trying to copy the system devised by the Bengals against the Chiefs, that we know works? We're not trying to re-invent the wheel here....use the system that has been created by the Bengals and run with it.

WR or Dlineman? What would be your main priority..
Sweats replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
WR....and that's all i got to say about that. -
.....shoulve taken that big swing for some offensive weapons for JA

I've lost all faith in this regime that they can fairly evaluate talent at any level. Spend a boat load of picks on the D every year in the draft and FA's and the D fails us every year with a D minded HC, mind you.....you see where i'm going with this? Draft absolutely nothing of value for the O and expect JA to be a "one man show" every week. It's disgusting. And we wonder why we just can't seem to get over the hump and even just get to a SB, let alone win one.
-
Unpopular opinion?.....the team is soft. This team is soft, from the FO, to the HC to the players on down.....soft at every level. Once they learn some grit, they will hoist that Lombardi. I can promise you that. When was the last time a soft team won the SB? I can't honestly remember any, to be honest. Each team that has ever won a SB played with determination, played with grit and knew what was on the line each week to get there. Soft teams get chewed up and spat out along the way. They get weeded out, exposed...

Allen needs to mentally overpower Mahomes
Sweats replied to Thrivefourfive's topic in The Stadium Wall
You are correct, sir.....i am delusional. Only a delusional person sees a guy who puts the team on his shoulders and is tough on the field, but not tough on the sidelines or with his team mates. Takes the onus of the mistakes and responsibility upon himself, but never putting it on the team or HC, where it belongs. You said it yourself, "he says nothing".....a leader is vocal. A leader expresses himself to his team, no matter whether someone will get hurt feelings. A leader is not just putting the team on your back and trying to carry the workload by themselves.....a leader determines the situation, demands responsibility/accountability from everyone. A leader is not just a "one man show", but rather a blend of moving parts in cohesion....a leader makes that happen. When i see JA sitting on the bench by himself with nothing to say to his teammates when they've f'ed up, i don't see a tough person. I see a guy who has resounded himself to the situation that our FO and HC have created for him to "have" to carry the team on his back. If he ever demands accountability from his teammates and HC for trying to cover up for their inadequacies, then he will hoist a Lombardi. You ever see how emotional the KC players are on the sidelines?......they want to win, they know what it takes to win and they demand accountability from everyone in that locker room. Mahomo expects to win every time he plays. Our guys sit on the sidelines with nothing to say to each other, each guy covering up for the mistakes and blunders for each other and never calling anyone out. JA is hoping to win every time he plays. There's a huge difference between the 2 QB's, when one doesn't hold anyone accountable and hoping that the problems will correct themselves.....they won't, which is why were good, but just not quite good enough. If you've ever been in a leadership role, you'll know what i'm talking about. I don't know how simpler i can make it. -
Allen needs to mentally overpower Mahomes
Sweats replied to Thrivefourfive's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here's what we're looking at.....one QB "expects" to win and one "hopes" to win. We all know which is which, however, when "said" QB gets into the proper mentality of "expecting" to win, then he will get over the proverbial hump. It's the responsibility of the HC and FO to guide the QB in the proper direction of mindset and confidence....and brother, they are dropping the ball, not just on the QB, but the whole team. This team is just not tough enough, including the QB. They have flashes here and there, but the overall toughness each week is lacking. I have spoken. -
All i know is that if i have to listen to Nick Wright ball wash Mahomo one more time, i'll puke
