  1. Do they figure the older players are going to break a hip?!?
  2. I agree, however, stretching the field doesn't always apply to 30-40 or even 50 yards downfield.....it can still be designed and game planned for 10-20 yards with outside slants and crossing routes mixed in. The underneath and middle can be managed by the TE's and Cook, while the longer routes can be done with Diggs and our rookie WR, but as i say, that doesn't necessarily mean that these "longer" routes will be massive chunks of yardage. It does seem that the intermediate and underneath yardage is the way the game is designed these days, however, you still have to attempt at stretching the field to set up the play action. Also, with the way that JA creates plays "on the fly", having guys being able to run downfield is a huge bonus for us, as he has shown that if the play is there, he will take it. If you have guys that can stretch the field AND play tight in the middle for the underneath yardage, you are basically forcing the D to pick their poison. With the proper play-calling, you are telling the D that it's going to be hard to defend both, so which one are you going to defend. Having guys that can stretch the field creates option, which is something this team desperately needs to compete going forward IMO. Remember the 90's Bills?.......Thurman Thomas and Andre Reed managed the slots, the underneath and intermediate yardage, while Lofton stretched the field which in turn created mismatches for opposing D's.......10 minutes into each game, they didn't know what to defend anymore......play the middle and Lofton plays the stretch, play the stretch and then dump into the middle or the slot to Reed or Thomas. They had options, which is what we need.
  3. Titans are building themselves quite a reputable franchise over there these days.
  4. McConkey is a gadget player, we don't need any more of those......we've got Cook, Kincaid and Knox that can open up the middle. We need guys that can stretch the field.
  5. I could honestly see i us trading back, grabbing a D guy somewhere in Rd 2 and then picking up a WR that no one has ever heard of........true story.
  6. We're going to have alot of choice for a WR in this draft. My only issue is that i see people wanting McConkey and i'm saying, hell no to that. I get it, he's a gadget guy and a guy that Beane tends to love for gimmicky schemes, however, we can barely scheme for the guys that we have now......best to get a WR that can stretch the field. I'm partial to Mitchell, but anyone that can come in and compete for Diggs' spot has my vote.
  7. This is the same verbal vomit that gets spewed throughout the media every off-season.......and the Jets are the same old Jets, year in and year out.
  8. Here's what i think.... We've basically only used him for dump-offs or as an outlet, so it's hard to see the full extent of what he can do on the field, however, the FO has a gem on their hands and they should figure out how to implement him more into our O. Also, i doubt Kincaid will ever be an offensive focal point, such as a Gronk, a Kelce, a Kittle, etc..... but with more development, he should come into his own and be a plyer that teams will definitely have to game plan for every week. And now you know.
  9. You want to know what i think?!?.........go check out the other Kincaid thread.
  10. I'm not saying he's not a great addition....it's just that i prefer Blackman
  11. I'm not sure i really like this signing........ya dig?

  13. Every season the media is falling all over themselves about how good the Jets will be and every season they fall apart.......much like the Fins and lately, the Pats.
  14. I seen some of the Mocks that had the Jets making a play for MHJ.....i do not want him in our division, nor conference.
  15. Charlie "Choo Choo" Justice
  16. Oh, those crafty Browns....
  17. What the hell is a Toohill?!?
  18. Maybe the FO is pumping him for info on how to beat Mahomes. Hey, it wouldn't surprise me and it wouldn't surprise you either........don't lie.
  19. I don't like this.....i don't like it one bit.
  20. My wife has said this to me a few times........always thought it was some sort of sexual innuendo.
  21. I know, these guys could really hurt themselves running 40 yards or jumping high in the air in a climate-controlled environment. Aye carumba
  22. Yeah, the poor guy is probably struggling to make ends meet.
  23. It's like they are doing everything to not admit they have a problem.....their cap is a mess, their future cap is a mess and they still have no team to field this season. They should just tear that bandage off in one swoop, tank a few seasons and start over.
  24. Hey, i like the guy, but you can't keep him around just cause you like him. It's a business and he needs to produce on the field, which he hasn't due to injury, so i have zero issues with letting him go. If another team picks him up, i just hope a contract is laced with incentives.
  25. What about some of Beanes soup?
