  1. You are correct, I just took a second to look up his stats. Guess my eye test failed me into thinking he was better before Cousins, it always felt like Keenum/Bradford trusted/preferred Diggs and felt like Cousins preferred Thielin.
  2. If my memory serves me right, I remember him having great chemistry with Case Keenum and Sam Bradford where he put up solid numbers but has never developed that same chemistry with Cousins. If he is available, I fully expect Beane will look into it and see why he has had those issues and if it is something a change of scenery might help fix because when he was good, he was one of the best at the position IMO.
  3. I agree 100% In their time in Buffalo: Rex Ryan always wanted to try and confuse Brady with his exotic blitz packages and what not which was a disaster and never worked. McDermott wants to out execute Brady, hence all of the process talk and hopefully it all comes to fruition on Sunday.
  4. Wallace must be fighting that ankle injury he had during the week
  5. Roberts makes McKenzie expendable. Unless Roberts has an injury in camp, I don't see McKenzie making the team. Zay I could see being on the bubble, but only if Duke, Sills, and/or others perform.
  6. Trade him for a pick and be done with him... He doesn't fit the mold of what McDermott wants IMO
  7. I’ll phrase my point differently, so is the main advantage of Singletary that he is available right away, or is he truly a superior back? I’m honestly asking, not criticizing the pick (Only said I wasn’t sure about it, because I don’t know anything about him and try to keep up on a lot of the players, yet haven’t heard anything about him). I choose to get most of my info from people on this board as we tend to have some very knowledgeable people that contribute.
  8. That is not at all what Beane thinks about when drafting players, he has put an emphasis on drafting the right players for building long term. Not buying it that they drafted a rb because they think Gore and McCoy will get injured... And I was asking in terms of draft value what makes Devin in the 3rd better than a Bryce Love in the 5th, that’s all. And I usually love everything McBeane do, just not sure about this but admittedly don’t know much about Singletary.
  9. Not sure how Singletary in the 3rd is better than Bryce Love in the 5th and letting him sit and learn behind Gore and McCoy.... But I don’t know anything about Singletary.
  10. Idiot for sure. His moves have been head scratchers to say the least... They sold everyone last April on the fact that they were going to draft Barkley because they were "reloading" and have Eli, so it was time to try and win now. So they drafted a running back 2nd overall when your team has a QB that has been done for 5 years and is running on fumes... Then this year they trade away a top 5 WR who is in his prime. Gettleman has no idea what he is doing, trying to win now, trying to win later, trying to never win, he's a wreck. Thankfully we have one of the top GM's in the league and we ended up finding our QB partly due to the poor decision making of Gettleman last year, which pushed QB further down the draft board.
  11. You have a good point, but the signing of that tall Canadian Football player makes me wonder if they maybe still want one tall jumpball target.... But personally I feel like Allen needs speedsters who can get behind DBs and kick into top gear to catch up to Allens throws when they are a little overthrown.
  12. Tyrod carried himself with class the entire time he was with the Bills, and some people are judged harsher because not everyone judges the same, its important to acknowledge the individual side of this. Every situation is different, and in the Bills case, they did not bench Tyrod because he was black, that was based on his play. And then they did the same thing with the white QB, benched him because of his play and decided it was too early for him to have played. They then followed through with their plan on the rebuild and traded a QB that they could get a 3rd round pick for and hung onto the cheap rookie whom they were going to give more time, and to fill the void until their raw 1st round draft choice was ready to take the field. Now, are there stereotypes that exist that could be perceived as racist, probably. There is a stereotype that the RB should be someone that is black, and a stereotype that the QBs are white. But I don't think GMs/Coaches/Owners would sabotage themselves by taking a less talented player just because he is white. If talent level is close though, I could certainly see where they would be more likely to choose the player that fits the stereotype which is probably a level of racism is some eyes. And I, like many here was an adamant Tyrod supporter, even before he got to Buffalo, I liked him a lot, but he always left us Bills fans wanting more from him. Eventually, like many others I realized he was not going to lead us to a Super Bowl, and was ready to give others a chance. I think it was very smart to trade Tyrod when we did because his stock would never be as high as after he led our Bills to the playoffs.
  13. I wanted Rosen, but that was just based on watching highlight videos. I knew the pick would come down to the interviews that they had and was skeptical on how Rosen would look during those. From what I’ve seen from Allen, his personality is one that any coach would love to have on their team, and I’m not surprised/disappointed that he is a Buffalo Bill.
  14. I would have to disagree with this in that I would much rather trust McBeane to find a good veteran in free agency to fill the CB2, or if the options are draft Greedy or trade for Patrick Peterson, I would much rather draft Greedy. Legion of Boom was drafted, and I fully believe McBeane can draft their version of Legion of Boom.
  15. I have said it many times, but that is the only position we may be able to lure a decent FA without overpaying due to the fact that we can offer a chance to play on a top defense and play across from Tre with two great safeties. That spot could be very appealing to a FA. I believe we should look for a trade down if Greedy is BPA, not a knocking his ability, just don't see it as a position we should spend a 1st rounder on.
  16. But you need an offensive HC to succeed in todays NFL... Or so I heard
  17. Here's a guy that gets it.... It's all about sustaining long term success. Sure Watkins, Dareus, Darby, and whoever else will have good games, but they aren't answers when talking about guys that you can count on. Between Sammy's injuries and ego issues, Dareus' drug problems and drag racing, and Darby's legal issues, these guys were never going to be players that you wanted leading your team and helping mentor your young draft picks.
  18. I said it once, I'll say it again, Josh will be good enough that we will be in the playoffs more than we are not and if he gets hot during the playoffs... Well, I think we could finally win ourselves a Superbowl.
  19. I think Beane will draft BPA at a position of need, meaning he won't overdraft someone based on need, but rather will trade down or up to a place in the draft where the value matches need. Beane has shown that he is able to find players that he absolutely HAS to have, and isn't afraid to trade to get them.
  20. And I believe McBeane have talked about this being one of the most important abilities that they look for
  21. Can't have your backup QB practicing holding the ball for the kicker all through practice while the offense is practicing, and have him never get to throw or run plays. Much more valuable to have your backup QB up to speed on the offense, than to be able to run a gadget play once a year with them. Makes the most sense time-wise.
  22. I think Josh can make FA a lot easier for McBeane if he continues playing like he played the last 2 weeks. Kid is showing off exactly why we traded up for him and is showing tremendous leadership. Josh is certainly someone that guys will want to play with and could make Buffalo much more attractive, we are witnessing the construction of something great and some fans still can't see it.
  23. Honestly believe we have a QB that can win us a Superbowl at some point in his career, he is a leader, and appears to be gaining confidence at a rapid rate
  24. I thought it was actually a penalty if you threw a challenge flag during a time when you cannot challenge (last 2 minutes or if you are out of challenges/timeouts).
