EJ Gaines is back!
BillsInWilmingtonNC replied to Clemfield2622's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I keep thinking I know where our weakness is, and where we’ll go in the draft, and Beane keeps changing that.... WR - Check, DE - Check, DT - Check, CB - CHECKKKK... What will be next -
Rams cut Gurley to Atl 1yr $5M
BillsInWilmingtonNC replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What picks do the Rams have? I'd need a 1st rounder to start considering the thought of taking on that contract and I don't think they even have a 1st, do they? -
Jordan Reed- 6 months in concussion protocol
BillsInWilmingtonNC replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its an interesting case because you would hope that players would value their health and well-being enough to hang it up when they needed 6 months to recover from a concussion. But if doctors start telling players that they cannot play anymore due to history of concussions, this is encouraging players in the future to be dishonest about possible concussion symptoms in fear of losing the ability to play or even make their own decision to play or not in the future. -
Really good points Reed. I had not heard Beane talk about the Top-Tier, Mid-Tier, and Bottom-Tier stuff. I do agree that Beane gives some really good honest nuggets of information when he gives his press conferences. Do you have any guesses at who some high ceiling, physical freak prospects might be for edge that could be available at 22 or that we could realistically move up for? Personally I am hoping there is one Beane has his eye on as I think it is our biggest weakness. As for WR, I am hoping we have a good one slide to us in the 2nd or even 3rd round.

CBS new mock has us taking AJ Epenesa

Happy to see Jefferson's name linked to us. I don't know much about him other than watching a few highlight videos, but his skill set pops on the videos I've seen. -
I said it before the play, "I hope they don't try to force it in to John Brown because he has been blanketed all day". I understand he has been solid all year, and have nothing against him, just was going by the flow of the game.... To which I was really hoping they would go Beasley's way as he had shown the ability to beat his defender consistently that day.

Bills at Browns Post Game Post Mortem
BillsInWilmingtonNC replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, I thought Allen looked decent today. Just has to figure out those deep throws, and I think it’s mostly a confidence issue. Once he hits on one deep throw, he’ll get his confidence back and start hitting on more. -

TBN: Bills Run Defense Flunks Test
BillsInWilmingtonNC replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't wait to show everyone on Thanksgiving how terrible our run D is when we play the Cowboys. Greatttttttt *sarcasm* -
I respectfully disagree about this being mostly on the offense and don't think we need to can McDermott or Daboll. I put most blame on the defense, while also realizing that Allen/Daboll made a critical mistake before the end of the 1st half... Our defense, coaches included need to find a way to better stop the run. They let the offense move down the field way too easily in the second half. I think it is important to realize that we are still in a rebuild though and that our front four needs some serious improvements made to it. Ed Oliver needs to put on more muscle/weight, Jordan Phillips is the only other DL worth his money right now. Hughes is a liability against the run and has lost some of his sack potential, Star is mediocre, Lawson is not starter material, and Trent Murphy is mediocre at best. The most disappointing part of all of this is that we have found a flaw that is not disappearing this season, we can only hope that with draft capital/FA signings that we can correct this area in the offseason. And Levi Wallace has been getting picked on too.

Did Jonathan Jones purposely take out Josh Allen?
BillsInWilmingtonNC replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get what you are saying about DBs tackling technique and agree that I don't think the Pats player was thinking "I need to get Josh Allen out of this game or else we're going to lose" but I do see the hit as illegal and a dirty play on the defenders part. Allen's head drops because his lower body is being held/tackled by a defender AND he is stretching forward as well as trying to hold onto the ball tightly. -

He threw it in right after a rant about how Vontaz Burfict should be suspended for his hit because the league is getting those hits out of the game, and then said the crap about Josh Allen's hit and that McDermott needs to watch the tape of the hit because it was Josh that led with his helmet. What a load of garbage!!!!!!!!! -

I know the penalty goes both ways for dropping your head, but it seems like a stretch to say Allen lowers his head, any slight drop in his head is 100% due to the fact he is trying to hold onto the ball in preparation for the big hit he is about to take. -

Mike Golic just said the flag should’ve been picked up or thrown on Josh Allen for lowering his head and that the patriot player tried to hit with his shoulder pads.... I have no clue where he gets any of that from watching the clip -
