  1. I'm not a cap wizard, but Id roll the dice on OBJ for 5+per. I'd offer him 3 years if he worked out well. 3 years... 25mil? Maybe some incentives or escalators. Guarantee like 10 of it with a way out after a year....something like that? Point being I would offer more than 3 years or much more than that neighborhood in total compensation. Id roll the dice though.
  2. The point isn't whether it's true or not, the point is some people just don't know when to keep their mouth shut, or make a polite non-statement, or heaven forbid throw your support behind the guy that kept your career alive. He really embodies this generation though; Me, me, me, I'm the victim here, you're all lessers, I'm the greatest, I owe thanks or humility to no one, oh an btw %^$&^%.
  3. The business side of football is cold for sure, but no one should feel sad for him. He's earned significant money and participated where most people can only dream of playing. Like the person, but glad to see the Bills move on. I'll still visit his restaurant if I make it down that way. 😋 Pretty epic burn if only it was meant to be. Isiah: Your Move BBB. Beane: Your cut. 🤐
  4. In years past, payers like this would have left for less money than the Bills offered. Now we have players realizing their market value is soft and choosing to stay with a winning franchise. This is good and says the guys still feel close to winning.
  5. Dood is a beast and has been the heart and soul of this D since arrival. Welcome back Po!
  6. This is a stretch. He was good no question. He did not have a Hall of Fame Career, not even close.
  7. Good for him, we weren't going to pay him that, nor should we. Let's see who fills his spot now, wonder if Matt will start calling plays. I don't think the Bears will be bringing home the Lombardi anytime soon, so nbd, and @ least he's in the NFC.
  8. I don't think Hopkins and Diggs could exist together. Maybe for one year, but I just don't see both of these guys being satisfied competing with one another for targets.
  9. I'm not against the 27th, just haven't studied the board enough to know who falls, and or a sense of what Beane wants there. 2nd is a no brainer for me though. We def still have big questions @ MLB and on DL (Edmunds & Oliver), but I like Jeudy.
  10. Russ's noddle arm can't throw that far or that fast. Id give our 2nd without blinking.
  11. No one is saying he is overrated, he is rated exactly where he belongs, mediocre and middle of the pack. No one mentioned cutting him or trading him for a 6th or 7th rounder either. Saying STOP isn't exactly an argument, saying STOP, name calling and then making up some scenario that no one even mentioned is barely worth a response. Try again and tell me how he's worth a big contract. I'll go first and say we can draft another middle of the pack guy that will deliver the same if not better results than Oliver. Drafting said guy would also have him on a 5 year cost controlled rookie deal. Alternatively, we could overpay for a mediocre, middle of the pack guy AND have to radically restructure some contracts to get this to work and make him happy. Your turn, Go:
  12. He clearly has no self awareness. Most people in buffalo aren't even sure there's a long-term home for him here, yet he thinks he's done something to earn a big contract? Guy's like this test my fandom. If we can get a 3rd, take that to the bank and call it a robbery.
  13. He's a winner and could obviously do TV work post playing as well.
  14. Some of these guys are worse than teenage girls. Like me, don't like me , follow you, unfollow you, give me a break, it gets old.
  15. People have no idea how they'd react in a situation like that. It probably takes a few minutes to really process WTF just happened. He needs to be checked before it escalates into something worse. I have zero tolerance for uncivilized people in a modern civilized world. Animals like this make the world worse. I think women should minimally carry pepper spray everywhere they go, it would have handled this situation perfectly. It's unwarranted here, but it surprises me more women don't exercise their 2A also. I'm a fit middle aged man that exercises regularly and I do both. That said, I'm a big Kermit fan. He rises up and carries himself as a class act despite all this craziness around his life. He's a winner in and out of the game. Go Bills!
  16. Von has already mentioned his aspiration to become a GM some day. I don't see any issue with this, he's still recovering, if this keeps him engaged with football and the team great. This is all a part of culture building. The opposite would be to rebuff his approach and see what that does for his feelings about the team and the staff. It's a no brainer.
  17. Trust us enough to draft or sign us and pay us minimally (250+k league minimum?), but need a big brother to sleep in the same room as me? Tremaine was the Captain of the defense but ya know, he's young so go bunk up with another sweaty, smelly, gassy man. Good times. They say comaraderie, but they mean policing. It's an outdated policy and probably should go.
  18. Having to have a roommate is weird. When the day is over, you go your way, I'd prefer to go my own way. I can barely tolerate my wife in the room when I'm trying to sleep. Sleep is important, this would be a tough bridge to cross for me.
  19. Al Holcomb was Carolina's interim DC last year. He was just hired as our Sr. Defensive Assistant. My guess says McD will be more active on the D side and Holcomb will fill in the gaps and maybe call plays.
  20. Lee simply has different expectations than our fanbase does. Lee's happy to be competitive, fans want to win it all. There have been lot's of good coaches and "good men" worth having their character and careers defended. Fans don't care, we want to know what it's going to take to win it all. I didn't see Lee put his marbles on the table that this will be our year, or that Dorsey can bring it home this year. Just that we'll be good. I'm sorry but for most fans THAT won't be good enough. Of course we'll be good we have JA17. The real question is can Dorsey put together a Superbowl winning year. IDK the answer, but I'm not keen on wasting prime years of JA's career.
  21. I started following the 49ers after we traded OJ. I'm a big fan of the original Super Joe/Joe Cool. I remember writing him as a youth and them sending back a bunch of autographed pics and stuff. I couldn't be prouder showing all that stuff to my friends back then, good times. I'm with Joe, Good read thanks.
  22. Woods has been a solid #2 WR though and has the stats to prove it. And he also blocks. I'd prefer a WR that gets open and catches the ball to one that exclusively ... blocks and... tackles? Besides, I thought that's what we were doing with Knox this year, ya know...blocking decoy. Not being critical of you, but it was a wasted roster spot at a critical position and one that we were sorely in need of improving at. 2 cents.
  23. People on here loved Kumerow for his ST ability, people thought Gabe was gonna be the 2nd coming, and Mckenzie was gonna be cheetah-esque. The reality is Kumerow is worthless (and finished the season hurt), Gabe was a massive disappointment, and I'm still unsure why we kept Isiah at all. Honestly, I thought Ray ray was the better choice, but I digress. There really is, there is no excuse for not keeping Hodgins. We kept him while injured, we were patient with his rehab, he started producing when healthy and given the opportunity. He's not a game breaker, but there's no excuse for not keeping him after all we did to keep him as long as we did. I have no issue with Daboll's success either, last I checked they'll be watching the SB too.
  24. 50, but still young at heart. Mike can be a little over the top @ times, but I like him. Admittedly, I don't watch as much of this stuff as most people on here do though. My bandwidth for sports has definitely waned over the years.
