I don't think it's crazy to think if Zack was handled and developed differently we may have a different opinion of him. The guy was basically drafted to be the savior on day 1 and then thrown to the wolves on one of the most forlorn teams and a defensive minded coach. Jets fans had the SB pegged before they even submitted the draft card. I bet if Team McBeane spent the draft capital we'd have done a better job developing and got more out of him. *shrugs*

Pretty good question and funny topic! Sadly, nothing more than a shuffle pass here. I couldn't generate enough zip to hit on a little slant or curl. At 5'10" I couldn't even see over the line to hit anyone. The thought of what that might even look like is side splittingly funny to me. Yeah... No.

RIP Dickey, you'll be missed. Dickey was most recently playing with his band(s) The Dickey Betts Band & Great Southern. He was asked to leave the ABB due to his resurgence of heavy drinking and alcoholism in the 90's. Gregg was suffering liver failure and his drinking days had long been behind him when Dickeys drinking flared up again (Gregg and Dickey battled alcoholism on and off most of their adult lives). Dickey was able to sober up afterwards and his band(s) and shows moving forward were worth while. Dickeys son and Greggs son currently play together in a "Revival" band that is pretty fantastic. They came to Klienhans last year and put on a great show! Highgly recommend if you're a fan of ABB music.

Shakir reminds me of a smaller Robert Woods, that's a pretty solid comparison and good company to keep. I also expect Samuel to have a very good season as well. I'm excited to see how brady uses him. I see him having success on broken plays too, where he's coming back to Josh and getting some nice YAC plays.

I mentioned it earlier in the thread, I saw another discussion about the dead cap hit, but who were we going to sign? What big FA's were left for us to sign? Unless Beane was banking on making some blockbuster player trade this year, it makes more sense to take the entire cap hit this year. Ideally, we move up and get the WR we want in the draft and free up a boat load of money next year.

I bet Diggs will be cut after year 2, if not sooner. 😶

He basically said, there was no market for him, and that he's not a true #1 WR or fully dimensional player anymore. Said he's a 30 year old declining possession receiver. Said he was our #1 by default, & doesn't expect him to get another big deal, or see the same kind of production.

That begs the question, can they produce 2x 1000 yard WR's? He won't be happy with anything less, that's for sure.

He does this more than any player I can remember. Same with how he goes down instantly. I think Bills fans are going to appreciate Samuels yards after the catch ability more than they realize.

If you take Diggs away, JA17 still led the league in TD's last year. This years draft just got a whole lot more interesting imho. 🤞

I like Curtis Samuel, I expect alot of the underneath and intermediate stuff Diggs was getting to go his way. I'm also looking forward to some exciting YAC plays too, that will be a nice change. If we draft one of the stud WR's this year, we'll be more explosive than last year. +1

If you're being honest with yourselves getting a 2nd round pick for Diggs is a solid trade. He's simply not worth a 1st, but you could probably make an argument for a 3rd to be truthful. Diggs was brought in to be the big gun, he's regressed or aged to sort of an intermediate or even slot type guy. All the balls he caught last year will be easily scooped up by Kincaid and Shakir this year. We need someone that can take the top of the field, open up room for Kincaid and Shakir, someone ideally that won't disappear in big games. Diggs was not that guy, it was time. Thanks for the memories.

I hate the extra 9 tenth's of a second they get after it hit's zero. Install a clock with tenths of a second or do away with the extra time all together. This infuriates me lol

Another step towards the inevitability of NFL flag football. While this may change may ultimately not be a bad thing, combined with all the changes it's clear what direction the NFL is headed. I still can't wrap my head around the hip drop tackle thing, but again it's clear they'll be taking contact out of the game before much longer. I don't know the status of any of these CTE cases against the NFL, but as soon as they get held liable, it'll be over.

We're banking on Von returning to form this year and AJ continuing his upward trend. Clearly we'll have to draft someone in the next year or two, but I'm not sure it's this year. Honestly, I think OBD hopes to get 2 years out of Von in a perfect world. 🤞I'm not as down on Groot as others are either. I feel like if Von and AJ, and Ed play up to expectations Groot will be fine.
