I'm a Shady fan so I'm a little biased, but I like his post career commentary. I think he's a pretty straight shooter, at least from his perspective. I find this pretty believable. Not everyone makes a great head coach for sure.

Let me take a stab at how I think this unfolding. The team would like to sign him at a fair value. I'm sure they offered or at least hinted @ what he's worth to the team. They'd make him top 5 ... or something but they're not making him the #1 paid player in the league. Lamar has been saying something to the effect that he wasn't ready, or didn't want a new deal yet because he wouldn't be satisfied with his play until he was the best or, #1, or something. That translates to; I know my #'s don't say I'm the best, but you have to be ready to make me the highest paid player in the league before we even speak. Everything comes down to $. LJ has a good idea the team ain't gonna pay him #1 $, and he ain't having it. I'm sure he wants the team to reach out with a clear message that he will be the highest paid player in the league, that's all he wants to hear. That would get him to sign, believe it. Otherwise, he'll go full Cartman from South Park if he doesn't get what he wants. If you don't make me the highest paid player in the league, I'll take my ball and go next year. That's how I see it at any rate.

Groot said he packed on a few pounds of muscle, and it's showing imho. He's looking pretty diesel below, I'm excited for his development!

I won't question Beane's draft, or where he picks who, but as for the player... he will have an impact. His cut ability and speed is undoubtedly gonna lead to some big plays this year. It'll be hard for haters to hate then. Also, with Dorsey's new offense and the signing of Howard and Crowder and now the addition of Cook, it looks like Moss and McKenzie will be the odd men out.

One of the most graceful skaters I can remember. Took these long strides and appeared to effortlessly glide around the rink. The Flower was one of my early Hockey heroes and inspired legions of hockey fans around the world. Sadly, I won't forget Brad May smearing him with a brutal elbow along the boards in one of his last seasons. It was brutal and he left the game a bloody mess, it may have ended his season. The rest of this game and the next night (back to back games against Quebec) set records for PIM, seasonal or maybe even all time @ that time. This poor guy bore the brunt (unfairly) of our family wrath for the Bills losing seasons for years. I still shudder when I see QB's unsnap their chin strap after a poor play (patented Fergy move). Of course no one slumps their shoulders afterwards like he used to, which just gave the worst body language messages, ugh. Then moving on from our beloved white helmets because he was having a hard time differentiating between the teams o\. OMG I better stop now, I can feel all those feelings bubbling up again. I was was confused when we signed Sanders last year, I thought Gabe was ready and deserved the snaps all year. Maybe less that we signed Sanders and more surprised how much more time he saw than Gabe.

Coach made a comment about being happy to have Matt "and his family" back (2:20ish). This made me think of a comment in another thread about Matt's wife being the party planner and how something seemed a little off last year without them. Makes me think there's probably something to this, or rather "something" (more than just football) was missing last year. Yes, losing Tre and 13 seconds and all of that etc. etc. Same with bringing Shaq and Jordan back, they aren't world beaters but they definitely add "juice" to a team that probably could have used a little more at the end last year. Yeah... Idk about smart and savy when it comes to Tua. I think more of an overachieving systems guy, a game manager with some decent athleticism.

Have it set up like a tail-gaiting experience, different "tables" / stations of players / vendors doing all of the above fun things. Have games people can play and maybe compete with the pro's. Stations for food and maybe if players have a flair for cooking, make that happen. 100% go with the tail-gating theme. It's almost a no brainer. Go Bills!
