I’m looking for 24 points and I really don’t care how they get them. Field goals, safeties, pick 6, punt returns, passes or 1 yard scrambles.... they’ll all be fun.
We average 24, we should be in the playoffs and from there, who knows?
We were dead last in Special Teams last year. https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamst
Wouldn't surprise me to see us pop up 20 spots and that alone should be another win.
We have a couple of threads where it is pointed out that DLs are now putting a premium on quickness/speed and one way to combat it is with OL power.
I think our OL revamp ++ getting Oliver, shows we are simultaneously following both trends.
I think Oliver may get moved around quite a bit, along with stunts to make him tough to locate.
I do think his weight and short arms will make it tough sometimes. He’ll just need to be tougher.
His Never Quit attitude may be his biggest strength. He will lose sometimes, but if he wins 2/3, he’ll be great.
even Barnwell says: "unless the Bills are in playoff contention, it wouldn't be shocking to see McCoy moved at the end of October. "
It doesn't take a lot of wins to be in Playoff contention when the season is less than half over.
Not too many teams have thrown in the towel at that point in the year.
If we start off 0-7, more heads will be on the block than just McCoy's.
Dawkins, Mills, Teller, Miller and Ducasse were 5 of the top 7 penalized (31 total) with Dawkins the major culprit (11).
Let's see what the new OL new coach does to clean it up. The top 5 OL for the Colts had 25 (somewhat better).
I think it’s going to be tough to keep this guy on the bench. Latter part of the year, he may get the bulk of the carries.
Shady seems to have his fair share of hamstring problems and I can’t see Gore carrying the full load.
Add it all up and I think we can be a 24 pts a game team.
Big jump from 16.8, but I think we have the players to do it, along with an OC that can put together a good, flexible plan each week.
