We were comparatively healthy last year, which makes us a bit spoiled and makes him stand out a bit.
He definitely gets another year on my imaginary roster.
I’ve always liked Rodak more than Graham, by a lot.
Rodak is also a better beat guy than the numbed pile of nuts that preceded him.
James Walker ... used to make me spit. Didn’t even know who was on the team.
One of the things that bothers me about Oliver is his arm length.
I've dug around & can't find any DT in the last 6 years with arms < 32" that has made much of an impact.
Tillery at 34 1/4 vs Oliver at 31 3/4. With a lot of the Guards at 34 ... those 2 1/2" can make a difference.
His Wikipedia page has 132 References. Dan Marino’s has 60.
He’s probably owned so many homes, he could start flipping houses after he retires or at the very least, write a travel guide.
.... I think he’s good for 2 more.
Here is a little bit of New England ramming it down our throats last year.
Take a look at the line splits vs the '3' wide' splits that Oliver could easily slice through in the other vid above.
I just don't think he'll be as effective vs tight splits in the NFL and will get buried way too often.
Maybe I'm way wrong, but I'd prefer a heftier guy with arms > 31.75" (Oliver).
I think he will make some splash, but get rolled over and put in Edmunds lap just as often.
Need a bigger guy with longer arms & reach that can hold up against the run.
I don’t think we take him at 9 ... maybe if we trade down.
He’s no Donald. Closer to Paea.
I think they'll knock off either #4 or #5 before the draft. There are a few teams that are real tight under the cap and will need to 'do something' in the near future.
Beane doesn't let much slip by him and I'll bet he's talking back and forth to a few teams right now.
IMO, Oliver is just too light and will just not hold up.
He’ll make a few spIash plays, but I think the OL will tighten its splits a little & he’ll get trampled and get run at all day long.
If we do get him, I hope I’m way off.
