I’d expect more of the same; good play on the field and a hair trigger temper off the field. I’m hoping Beane can find good, mature players that don’t need a babysitter. Too much drama can cause a team to lose focus. Worry too much about off the field when it should be focus on the field. Might be why KC decided to move him out so quickly.

RW was still around. I just don't think either Chan or Buddy would have hired Dave Wannstadt without arm twisting. Same thing for bringing in Vince Young. Chan's lack of enthusiasm over that move was real clear. A lot of behind the scenes stuff where Chan the good trooper had to play some bad cards.

All of Bills history covers a lot of turf, but I think 1 guy I would’ve liked too see more of was Nic Harris. A lot of injuries to LBs in 2009 and he finally got a chance to play in week 16. He tore it up, was everywhere, then got an acl towards the end of the game. Got cut in camp (not recovered), caught on with NC for a year, then was out of football. Had his moment, but it was way too quick.

In 2014 Aaron Donald went at #13, but we needed a receiver. We sure showed them, by golly.

Probably find out about his shoulder at the combine physicals. Would be a pain to lose another 1st rounder to IR in his rookie year.

Thomas is just an unbelievable receiver Catches 85% of the throws and that is with serious volume. Granted that is from Brees, but the other guys on the Saints can’t approach that figure. I hope Beane comes through in this draft and doesn’t lose out to the new Asst Fins GM.

Just read that Boetteger tore his Achilles in September 2017, so was not 100% during otas or camp. Seems to have good technique and may be a solid surprise (quicker & stronger) for us in 2019.

It would be interesting to check his completion % for the 1st few plays after he scrambles. May have been my imagination, but it seemed to me like he was missing more often after he scrambled, as if he was gassed and was missing a little on his footwork. I have to admit, I love watching him take off.

All in all, I would have preferred a 1/2 year extension.

He had a rough year. Bad in pass pro. That + his frequent ankle/foot problems would lead me to decline this opportunity.

He’s earned a shot and will probably work that much harder to show McDermott that his decision was a good one.
