Sometimes when you’re young, all you need is a properly placed kick in the ass to get you pointed in the right direction. A good leader can get the point across without alienating the player. IMO, McDermott is good at that and his personal grind of being a wrestler helps him get out a ‘no bs’ message. He understands work, pain and results. As a fellow old fart, I think you know this already.

Correction ... this past New Year's Eve. Space time continuum alters at age 67. It was officially cancelled for high winds, but she originally mealy mouthed & cancelled it 2 weeks before until 2 Rochester residents (Om and Swadesh Popli ) offered to pay for it. You must be a good writer. I said the same thing last week (but said a 5th) and people thought I was goofy because ‘Tampa would never let him go for only a 5th’. But I like your idea better. A 7th sounds great, but if need be, I’d go with as much as a 4th. His rotation would be a little lighter with us so I think we could see 2 solid years out of the guy.
