  1. Saw the Clash open for The Who at the Stadium. Thousands of Canadian punk rockers with British flags were waiting in line since early in the morning. Worked crowd control until show started. Awesome show by both, The Who were incredible.
  2. Yes I do, was never a big disco guy but Fibbers had the ladies, Skyroom above the old theater. Heacock park. Used to hang around the y yard and play tackle football in that park sometimes as a kid.
  3. For you music lovers here is a high quality recording of my first and still one of my favorite Dead shows. War Memorial Aud Buffalo 77. https://archive.org/details/gd77-05-09.sbd.connor.8304.sbeok.shnf Archive.org is one of the worlds largest digital libraries and has 1000s of live recordings of hundreds of bands.
  4. Got to see so many great bands in Buffalo in the 70s. The Who, Jethro Tull, Stones, Yes in the round and at the stadium. The Kinks, Steppenwolf. Grateful Dead '77, the Tubes at Sheas theatre, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Frampton comes alive, Blue Oyster Cult, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Moody Blues, Emerson Lake and Palmer, I could keep going. Had tickets to the canceled Led Zeppelin stadium show when Plant's son died if I remember right. So much great music and crazy fun times I haven't thought about in a while. Glad I survived it all. Sorry for the long story, I was supposed to list my favorite bands. Yes. In Oakland. Favorite bands I have never seen : Bob Marley, Talking Heads, Dire Straits. Zeppelin.
  5. Caz park in the 70's was a blast.
  6. Or in Philly, it gets you a SB victory. ?
  7. I saw Rosen play a lot in college and If he starts from day 1, I could easily see him getting injured. He needs to hit the weight room more. I also wonder why he didn't put up better numbers in college. His passer rating the last three years ranked 31, 47, and 61 out of 125 qbs. Not too impressive for a guy some people want to mortgage the future for. I think he looks the part with his mechanics, footwork, etc., but he has never impressed me as a football player. I think he lacks heart, will, and commitment to be the best. I think he could just as easily get paid and walk away as become a successful pro. No way would I give away the draft to take a chance on this guy.
  8. 6'6" Justin Herbert of Oregon will be one of the top qbs if he declares for the draft imo. Only a jr. this coming year so he may not. Needs to fill out but he is young and has the frame to do so.
  9. So many experts on this board, a lot of you guys missed your lot in life and should definitely be put in charge of an NFL franchise. Having opinions is one thing, but the commitment and conviction some of you have as you vehemently express them and ridicule all the idiots who don't agree is awe inspiring. We are not worthy.
  10. Sven earlier in the thread said Rudolph is "not a great runner to say the least". Not saying he is a good runner but he did run for 10 tds last year, more than anyone but Jackson. Next highest had 5, Rosen ran for -97yds and 2 tds. So using his run ability as a knock against him doesn't ring true. I am hoping the Bills get their prospect without giving up picks.
  11. Wouldn't surprise me if the trade the farm for Rosen crowd feel pretty stupid in a few years. I don't see a sure thing among these qbs, or have a favorite.
  12. I went to every home game when he ran for 2000 in '73, had a big poster of him on my wall. I wouldn't say he was my idol, but I was a big fan. Now I think it is an embarrassment that he is on the wall. What a piece of **** he turned out to be.
  13. they get Richardson for 8 and the Bills pay 10 for Star. There were plenty of better options than Lotu that will sign for less money.
  14. "That's right, I paint my face."
  15. So, compared to how stupid the Dareus contract was, this contract isn't nearly as stupid? That's good, I guess.
  16. Regardless of the money, I just want him to be really good at what he does. He is currently the 11th highest paid dt this year. More than a couple sources who pay a lot more attention than I do have commented on his poor play the last couple seasons. If the highest paid player on your team is playing at a sub par level, that is a problem. He is definitely one of the Bills starting dts, so I sure hope he regains whatever he seems to have lost.
  17. I like McCarron at that price, and hope Murph, Davis, Lotu and Ivory can come back to form. They all have shown high potential and it remains to be seen if they all come back. If they do there is a tremendous amount of upside.
  18. You are right. I thought Poe was rated high on pff but he was not. Only a little higher than Star. If you check out their fa tracker and line the dt up by rating this is the top of the list: Suh, Unrein ,Richardson. DaQuan Jones, Ellis, Wilkerson, Ngata, Kyle Williams in top ten. Lotu was 31st. Pff not a definitive ranking by any means, but to be so far from the top of just the free agents has gotta say something about his play.
  19. I can't say much but there will be an announcement soon. East of Buffalo, high level business meetings.... connect the dots.
  20. I know they are suspect but they are not the only ones to comment on Star's declining play. Also even if their evaluation criteria is flawed, the players at the top are all very good players and Star was near the very bottom. The guy was a dominant force his rookie year, maybe he gets back his old self. Still overpaid. Saw a poll where Panther fans were 79% against giving him a new contract. Now they have Poe alongside Kawann Short, probably the best interior line in the league.
  21. Well it might be difficult to quantify but Poe was ranked high and one of top fa dt on pff. Star ranked near the bottom, 30 fa dts ahead of him and only 4 lower. Poe signed for less money. This strikes me as a Panthercentric thing like Tolbert.
  22. The Bills new highest paid player. https://www.profootballfocus.com/nfl/players/star-lotulelei/7795 The 109th ranked Dl. A lot of people don't put much stock in pff but if you look at who the highest ranked guys were it is an impressive list. Anyway , however and whatever they were measuring, there were 108 guys rated higher last year. He was near the very bottom and not much better the year before. I think there were better players available who will sign for half of what he is getting. He did play for the Panthers though. Not trying to be negative and I have liked most of what they are doing, but this move and overpaying for Ivory not so much. Will gladly eat crow if they prove me wrong. Flame away
  23. Hey, I could retire nicely with that 3 mil .
  24. Me too. Pesky facts are a pain in the ass and I really like good stories.
