  1. He was a beast at Stanford. Saw him play a lot. If he is healthy the Bills defense just got a lot better.
  2. Always suspected Brady had a gaping hole on his backside.
  3. How about 'em. Raise a glass!!!
  4. 25 tackles would be whopping for Star. He only got 6 last year . A 5 year bridge contract?
  5. Scored reaalllly high on the wonderlic........
  6. Good one. He only completed 57% of his passes though, that's why he never made it in the pros.
  7. All you want is a good qb. It doesn't matter what you call him.
  8. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/mason-rudolph-1.html He has good size and good football smarts. I like how he has gotten better every year as well. Hilarious how many 'experts' around here just write off a guy who had one the best college careers ever. I guess when you are so used to good qb play it makes you cynical.
  9. Does it matter? He doesn't strike me as very athletic.
  10. They had this guy playing next to him. https://www.profootballfocus.com/nfl/players/kawann-short/7825 extended him last year 5yr 80 million. Dominant player.
  11. Could bring back Bradham for a start, Avery Williamson, Demario Davis are fa, not sure what they would cost. Roquan in the draft would be the ideal.
  12. I think a great linebacker is the most glaring need on defense. They need their Luke Kuechly.
  13. He definitely fills a need and I hope McD brings out the best in him. I just thought he would be too high priced based on his draft pedigree and how he played his first couple seasons. So glad Kyle is coming back, he is still playing at a good level and means so much to the rest of the team. I think they definitely improved the position. I have a bad back right now and have been pretty cranky, so that may have played a part in my negative reaction. I am actually pretty excited about what they are doing and looking forward to what they do next.
  14. ^^^^^^^His rookie year he was tremendous. He went from top to the bottom in that metric the next four years steadily declining. Kawan Short has been dominant next to him and that is who Car gave the extension to. Hey, he is a Bill now and I hope they can bring the best out of him.
  15. Hang in there buddy.
  16. That is not true, I have been behind almost every move they have made so far. I was just hoping that the Star to Buffalo rumors weren't true, and yes I guess I trust their judgment less concerning Panthers players. I am not unhappy and I hope it works out. Less than thrilled is probably more accurate.
  17. I am not thrilled about the signing, I think he got signed because they know him like Tolbert. Better young players are on the rise for less money. I will leave it, whats done is done and time will prove me right or wrong. I sincerely hope I am wrong.
  18. http://billswire.usatoday.com/2018/02/22/nfl-free-agency-buffalo-bills-star-lotulelei-panthers-draft/ from billswire
  19. I take pff with a grain of salt. Hard to argue with their list of fa dts though and their run stop % is not subjective. They are not the only source who have seen a major decline in his play, I read about it before I checked pff. Here is from sb nation Panthers page. https://www.catscratchreader.com/2018/3/5/17075718/is-nfl-carolina-panthers-defensive-tackle-star-lotulelei-worth-4-years-40-million
  20. Unlike Star pff had Williams ranked on par with Ngata and Wilkerson among the better Dl available. So glad he is coming back another season and will retire a Buffalo Bill.
  21. https://www.profootballfocus.com/nfl/players/star-lotulelei/7795 2016 and 17 he was ranked dead last in run stop % for his position. 2013 rookie year 12.9%, 2014 7.8%, 2015 7.0%, 2016 1.7 % dead last out of 75 dts Notice a pattern? Out of 36 fa dts he was ranked 31st . 6 tackles in 16 games. How much are you willing to pay for that? He does have a cool name though, and he was a Panther. The same guys who loved Tolbert?
  22. The grandson of Dick Hammer, Sam Darnold tops their rankings. Dick Hammer of USC basketball, Olympic volleyball, and Hollywood fame, and perhaps the greatest name in history, Dick Hammer!
  23. He only writes the 'bottomline' portion of the draft profile, not the strengths and weaknesses. Those are compiled through scouts, at least that is how someone explained his role in another thread. Read any of the prospects draft profiles on nfl.com , they point out plenty of flaws in all of them; not just Rosen.
  24. I am not convinced that any of the qbs are 'all that'. I think they all come with risks and in no way do I see this as a Rosen/Mayfield debate. For me this is about improving the qb position. I want the Bills to get a good fa qb, draft a qb and keep getting better now and in the future. Putting all your eggs in one basket and then waiting and hoping is not how I want them to go. This team needs to keep getting better on all fronts and cultivating a winning mentality now.
  25. I didn't even catch that, I heard something about controversial statements and being a student and athlete being incompatible. I think there is truth to that, when I met my wife she was running track for U of O and working while going to school full time. It was difficult. What I am talking about is talk going back a few years about his personality. For me though, I just don't think he is very impressive as a football player. The PAC 12 is not exactly known for defense and his numbers are just not that great.
