  1. Good question, why are you not thrilled?
  2. I don't think so, and I hope not. Are you saying the Browns won this trade???
  3. Okay. I remember him in college but have not really seen his pro game. I know he has potential but regard him as an unknown commodity still.
  4. What has McCarron ever done and what would you pay him. You would be going into the season with 3 unproven qbs. I ddon't like that plan.
  5. Both I hope. Foles and a top notch prospect would be ideal imo. Foles 7 million cap hit would be a huge bargain, the draftee could sit for a year and the Bills can keep winning and be exciting to watch. Wow, amazed they could move his salary and get a 3rd, the first pick of the 3rd. Hallelujah!!!
  6. I hope not, his production has decreased every year since his rookie year. Last year he made 6 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 16 games. One of the lowest rated DT on pff as well.
  7. My brother in Atl has a pair of season tickets. Not sure when this policy started but he has had them for some years. He makes it to about half the games and gives the others to friends and family.
  8. Was taken in the 3rd round. Suspended for peds and threatened to retire. Say he is talented but needs to get his head on straight. That could explain his head not being straight. Maybe he just needs the process.
  9. His family is from Nigeria. Should Nigerians change their names to Frank or Richard? Are those names smarter?
  10. That is really impressive athleticism for 267 lb . Cool name too. Can he play football?
  11. I would do that in a heartbeat but doubt the Eagles want Tyrod, they need to shed cap.
  12. You can think a 27td 2 int 2700 10 game season was a total fluke. Then he broke his collarbone and struggled for a couple seasons, or as you put it, 'flamed out'. He gets back in Philly, takes over at the end of the season, has one of the greatest playoff runs of any qb, beats Tom Brady Patriots in a shootout SB, and he is not worth a 2nd rnd pick. He is also 6'6" 245 lbs. That is ridiculous. What vet do you want for the chosen one draft pick? What fa qb upgrade could you get for 7 million? What veteran will play while the draft pick learns?
  13. He only played 2 games start to finish regular season so those stats are not a big sample. Include the 3 playoff games and those 5 game totals would be impressive. I liked how he got better each game. I am not saying Foles would be consistently good but the low price of his contract makes it worth finding out I think. You need a vet for anybody you draft anyway.
  14. I fully understand the Pats are not sentimental. My point was I think Gronk would move on to other things before playing somewhere else.
  15. I want to draft a qb, but anyone drafted will need to sit I think. Foles at that price would be ideal for winning now and the future. Any of the fa upgrades at qb would cost a lot more. Maybe could package a player and a pick, I know they want more than a 2nd. I feel like Foles has flashed brilliance and could be coming into his peak form. At that price I think it is definitely worth a shot.
  16. You could still draft a qb and have Foles 4 yrs for 25 million. 6'6" 243 coming off one of the best playoff runs by a qb in history. Had a season before an injury setback with 27 tds and 2 int. 2700 yds. 119 qb rating in 10 games. Ya, lol.
  17. The thought of Foles as a Bill has grown on me. To have him for 4 years at that contract and draft and develop a guy seems like a great plan.
  18. I like O'Leary and would hate to see him thrive as a Patriot. Why trade him? It probably wouldn't cost much to keep him after this year if he continues improving.
  19. Isn't Lewis a free agent? Nick O Leary has paid his dues more than Hogan? We get Lewis and a draft pick for Nick? I am confused.
  20. The Bills are spending a lot of money at rb right now. Almost tops in the league. Giving 3 million for a potentially washed up backup Ivory is more than some of the leagues top backs still on rookie contracts make. I am not saying I would spend a top pick on a back , but getting good production from players on rookie deals at any position is huge for managing cap. Some positions seem to take longer adjusting to the pros. I have not ever advocated the Bills taking a rb high in the draft, too many other needs at pos. with less depth of talent.
  21. I agree it would have to be a rare talent and to a team that has a qb and other parts to warrant a top pick.
  22. 1st rd contracts come with 5th year options I think which would make most of them 27 , some rbs go on to produce well after 5 yrs many others are banged up by then. The point is you could still keep them for a 2nd contract, but to get the bulk of their productive years on a rookie contract is a huge bonus when managing cap.
  23. I think Gronk becomes a clown in the WWE before that happens.
