Josh Rosen has "Bust" written ALL over him.
Turk71 replied to The Bills Blog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know any of them, just know that this is not something new. Just because they didn't like him doesn't mean they would trash him at such a crucial moment, but that doesn't mean his personality won't be a problem either. -

On the west coast there has been talk of him not being universally liked by his teammates for years now. All of the sudden during draft evaluation that is all not true. I am not buying it, also why did he not put up better numbers? The PAC is not exactly known for its fearsome defenses. I think he is just as likely or more likely to bust as any of the top qbs. -

I definitely think there is a chance he busts. The guy had two concussions last year alone and an injury history going back to high school. He does not have a solid build. I live in Eugene and follow Pac 12 football. Rosen has never impressed me as a football player, he looks the part but I question his heart and will to be the best. No one is a sure fire winner and I am not sold on any 1 qb. I am not prepared for the Bills to suck while waiting and hoping the guy they pick is the one. This team made the playoffs with sub par qb play, no reason they couldn't go further with better qb and improved talent on both sides. I would prefer they sign one of the better fa qbs and a great prospect like Mayfield. Win now and in the future. Why put all your eggs in one uncertain basket, if it doesn't work you suck for a few years and have to start over. -
Philly deadline to get under the cap: Nick Foles

I would probably keep him if I were them, at least until Wentz situation is much clearer. -
I think I read around 40 this year and 100 next year.

Sal about FA QB's For Bill's - Hint ?
Turk71 replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or if the 'big name' never becomes good expect to suck for 3 years and then start over again. Why not bring in a decent qb, keep winning now and draft and mentor until you find your next qb. I don't want to suffer through more years of suck just waiting and hoping they picked the right guy. Seinfeld episode with Raquel Welch was hilarious. -
DaQuan Jones . Star has declined every year, 6 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 16 games last year. Pff has 30 free agent dt rated higher.
-
At this point no one knows who they are after. They got ahead of Az though and should have options to move further if necessary.

340 lbs and foot issues are a bad combo

Looking forward to these trades becoming official, Glenn passes physical and Cleveland files the paperwork.

I used to work on the east side. I hope that's not where we're movin

Got him with a 41 pick, had him through a rookie contract plus a couple years trade him for a 51 pick when his health is becoming a ? and his cap hit would be 13 million next year. That is pretty good value. Getting good production from guys on rookie contracts is key to managing the cap and stud linemen can contribute right away usually. Draft a tackle in first two rounds and get younger.
-
The return works out to the value of pick 51. More than I would have expected, how much cap do they gain? Someone mentioned 4.8 mil, is that right? Wasn't there a roster bonus they don't have to pay?
-
I agree. Having the 12th pick in the draft now is pretty incredible. I think they were going to address the offensive line anyway and I think they regard Dawkins as a left tackle.
-
Dawkins will keep him company.
-
I think everyone understands there is no chance he is coming here. Highly doubt he goes anywhere, he might be taking offers as leverage but would be shocked if he moved.
-
Okay, misunderstood you. Barkley is probably one of the surest things in the draft, just reread your post and saw you were talking about Cleveland. Sorry bout that.

Who is? Rosen? I don't see him as a sure thing at all. He needs to hit the weight room. Two concussions last year is a concern. I live in Eugene and have seen him play a lot, once in person. He looks the part, but I have never been too impressed with him as a football player. I think he lacks heart and the will to be the best. He might just get paid and cruise through an average career. Then again it is all conjecture at this point, which makes trading up all the more risky. If they do choose to spend a ton of capital moving up, I sure hope they get it right. Getting it wrong could set the team back a few years. After waiting so long for the playoffs, I do not look forward to losing a bunch while waiting and hoping they finally have a qb. I realize the qb is the most important but this team needs other major parts as well. A lot of people seem obsessed with having to draft and develop a qb. SF got one ready made, drafted and developed by another team. My point is the goal is to get a good qb, doesn't matter how you do it. Ideally for me, the Bills get a qb who can play and win now while drafting qbs til you find the next good one.

You're the GM, what do you offer Kyle Williams
Turk71 replied to elltrain22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are some young proven talents in fa, Daquan Jones from Titans for instance will probably get 4-6 per year. Stuffs the run and pressures the QB, athletic and versatile, has played nose and end in 3-4 and one tech in 4-3. -

Bring in a young guy and offer Kyle 3- 4 mil guaranteed to be mentor and rotational DT. He will be 35 when the season starts and a rotational role would probably suit him best, he has made over 50 million dollars and probably doesn't want to move at this point. I would like to see him retire a Bill but if he wants to chase more money elsewhere the Bills cannot afford to overpay and need to bring in young talent on the line. -
Who will the Bills target at the start of Free Agency?
Turk71 replied to DefenseWins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Norwell is going to get paid it would seem, Cards and Giants are both candidates. -

Andrew Norwell G, Avery Williamson LB, Marqise Lee WR.... No idea what they will cost but I like the players. -

Daquan Jones one tech DT. Can stuff the run and pressure the QB. -
This topic definitely belongs in 'Off the Wall'.
