  1. That is not true, I have been behind almost every move they have made so far. I was just hoping that the Star to Buffalo rumors weren't true, and yes I guess I trust their judgment less concerning Panthers players. I am not unhappy and I hope it works out. Less than thrilled is probably more accurate.
  2. I am not thrilled about the signing, I think he got signed because they know him like Tolbert. Better young players are on the rise for less money. I will leave it, whats done is done and time will prove me right or wrong. I sincerely hope I am wrong.
  3. http://billswire.usatoday.com/2018/02/22/nfl-free-agency-buffalo-bills-star-lotulelei-panthers-draft/ from billswire
  4. I take pff with a grain of salt. Hard to argue with their list of fa dts though and their run stop % is not subjective. They are not the only source who have seen a major decline in his play, I read about it before I checked pff. Here is from sb nation Panthers page. https://www.catscratchreader.com/2018/3/5/17075718/is-nfl-carolina-panthers-defensive-tackle-star-lotulelei-worth-4-years-40-million
  5. Unlike Star pff had Williams ranked on par with Ngata and Wilkerson among the better Dl available. So glad he is coming back another season and will retire a Buffalo Bill.
  6. https://www.profootballfocus.com/nfl/players/star-lotulelei/7795 2016 and 17 he was ranked dead last in run stop % for his position. 2013 rookie year 12.9%, 2014 7.8%, 2015 7.0%, 2016 1.7 % dead last out of 75 dts Notice a pattern? Out of 36 fa dts he was ranked 31st . 6 tackles in 16 games. How much are you willing to pay for that? He does have a cool name though, and he was a Panther. The same guys who loved Tolbert?
  7. The grandson of Dick Hammer, Sam Darnold tops their rankings. Dick Hammer of USC basketball, Olympic volleyball, and Hollywood fame, and perhaps the greatest name in history, Dick Hammer!
  8. He only writes the 'bottomline' portion of the draft profile, not the strengths and weaknesses. Those are compiled through scouts, at least that is how someone explained his role in another thread. Read any of the prospects draft profiles on nfl.com , they point out plenty of flaws in all of them; not just Rosen.
  9. I am not convinced that any of the qbs are 'all that'. I think they all come with risks and in no way do I see this as a Rosen/Mayfield debate. For me this is about improving the qb position. I want the Bills to get a good fa qb, draft a qb and keep getting better now and in the future. Putting all your eggs in one basket and then waiting and hoping is not how I want them to go. This team needs to keep getting better on all fronts and cultivating a winning mentality now.
  10. I didn't even catch that, I heard something about controversial statements and being a student and athlete being incompatible. I think there is truth to that, when I met my wife she was running track for U of O and working while going to school full time. It was difficult. What I am talking about is talk going back a few years about his personality. For me though, I just don't think he is very impressive as a football player. The PAC 12 is not exactly known for defense and his numbers are just not that great.
  11. I couldn't give a **** about him having an opinion, like !@#$s, everyone has one. I just don't think he is gonna be a great qb.
  12. I don't know any of them, just know that this is not something new. Just because they didn't like him doesn't mean they would trash him at such a crucial moment, but that doesn't mean his personality won't be a problem either.
  13. On the west coast there has been talk of him not being universally liked by his teammates for years now. All of the sudden during draft evaluation that is all not true. I am not buying it, also why did he not put up better numbers? The PAC is not exactly known for its fearsome defenses. I think he is just as likely or more likely to bust as any of the top qbs.
  14. I definitely think there is a chance he busts. The guy had two concussions last year alone and an injury history going back to high school. He does not have a solid build. I live in Eugene and follow Pac 12 football. Rosen has never impressed me as a football player, he looks the part but I question his heart and will to be the best. No one is a sure fire winner and I am not sold on any 1 qb. I am not prepared for the Bills to suck while waiting and hoping the guy they pick is the one. This team made the playoffs with sub par qb play, no reason they couldn't go further with better qb and improved talent on both sides. I would prefer they sign one of the better fa qbs and a great prospect like Mayfield. Win now and in the future. Why put all your eggs in one uncertain basket, if it doesn't work you suck for a few years and have to start over.
  15. I would probably keep him if I were them, at least until Wentz situation is much clearer.
  16. I think I read around 40 this year and 100 next year.
  17. Or if the 'big name' never becomes good expect to suck for 3 years and then start over again. Why not bring in a decent qb, keep winning now and draft and mentor until you find your next qb. I don't want to suffer through more years of suck just waiting and hoping they picked the right guy. Seinfeld episode with Raquel Welch was hilarious.
  18. DaQuan Jones . Star has declined every year, 6 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 16 games last year. Pff has 30 free agent dt rated higher.
  19. At this point no one knows who they are after. They got ahead of Az though and should have options to move further if necessary.
  20. 340 lbs and foot issues are a bad combo
  21. Looking forward to these trades becoming official, Glenn passes physical and Cleveland files the paperwork.
  22. I used to work on the east side. I hope that's not where we're movin
  23. Got him with a 41 pick, had him through a rookie contract plus a couple years trade him for a 51 pick when his health is becoming a ? and his cap hit would be 13 million next year. That is pretty good value. Getting good production from guys on rookie contracts is key to managing the cap and stud linemen can contribute right away usually. Draft a tackle in first two rounds and get younger.
  24. The return works out to the value of pick 51. More than I would have expected, how much cap do they gain? Someone mentioned 4.8 mil, is that right? Wasn't there a roster bonus they don't have to pay?
