  1. That is just straight hucklebuck
  2. He is smart, willing to learn and has rare physical tools. That is a good combo to have a good chance. I am encouraged that he is still young and he was the smartest qb on the wonderlic. Say what you will, but one thing the wonderlic measures is how quickly you can see patterns and discern the proper response. He has a good aptitude for learning and so far a humble willingness to do so, that bodes well for his success imo.
  3. 10 tackles ..5.5 sacks and a forced fumble against Baylor in an important game, impressive no doubt. Teller has 70 lbs on Boesen and he benches 460 lbs, squats 600 and cleans 400 lb. High school wrestling may not be enough. Phillips on the other hand was a 3 time state heavyweight wrestling champ of Nebraska, and won the national championship as a junior. High character tough guys, I like it.
  4. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.boston.com/sports/new-england-patriots/2018/03/02/how-the-current-patriots-performed-at-the-nfl-combine/amp&ved=2ahUKEwj67Pv0v-PaAhVE6GMKHfZyB9oQqa4BMBJ6BAgDEAI&usg=AOvVaw21-6DBJddVG-3HJo0IgYxG&ampcf=1 He was a specimen, 24" vertical leap, 5.3s 40, a whopping 30td 17int. college career. I am sure if they had your analytics back then his greatness would have been evident. He was projected to go top 10 but he slid to the end of the 6th when they saw him with his shirt off.
  5. Probably Beane I would think, I love how genuinely grateful and humble he seems. I don't expect they will have any Dareus type issues with this guy.
  6. I thought he was a reach in the 4th round, but like you say I will trust McD's evaluations of dbs.
  7. He was listed in numerous top 100 lists, great value in the 5th. Incredibly strong, 460 lbs bench press, 600 lbs squat, 400 lbs clean, another beast like Phillips.
  8. Flat earth? Reptilian hybrid superhuman ? C'mon spill the beans, I am curious to know.
  9. Have a good feeling about this guy for some reason, think he may be a winner.
  10. Really like the Teller pick, another beast built like a brick of granite according to NFL.com. They had him as a 3rd or 4th rnd pick. Relieved to have help for oline, would not be surprised if he is a starter at some point this season.
  11. I realize the roster is far from set, the pick still surprised me though.
  12. The oline needs help!!! Reach for a backup cb special teamer when you have 1 decent lineman and 1 decent wr ?
  13. What 16 yr old wouldn't think she was a hottie? He didn't say anything crude, Musberger on the other hand sounded like a creepy pervert. His other tweets were ignorant and ill advised, but in fairness how many of his teammates used the term cracker at 16 ? People grow up, I am sure I would be embarrassed by a lot of things I said at that age. Not trying to make excuses, just saying he is not the only one who said stupid things as a teenager and people do change as they grow up and experience more of the world.
  14. he might get Geno-ed?
  15. Right, that and 42 bench reps, 3 time state wrestling champ, 40 Wonderlic Stanford grad; I think other teams were too intimidated . McD the former wrestler must be lovin it. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2769386-harrison-phillips-nfl-draft-2018-scouting-report-for-buffalo-bills-pick check out the NFL comparison. He led Stanford in tackles from the nose tackle position.
  16. Pancho Billa wears a Bills sombrero and Bills Mexican garb, evidently a well known fan who is going through chemo. He read the Phillips pick with Fredx and Andre Reed, pretty cool moment.
  17. Oline without a doubt, speed outside at wr, another lb, cb depth and whatever depth needed at other positions. Hope they can find a couple gems in the later rounds and after the draft. Too bad Pats got Trent Brown from 9ers, he is a good young tackle and was hoping the Bills would get him.
  18. I figured that was implied, that said, I respect the opinion of an actual successful scout and gm more than some talking head TV guy. Just saw that Phillips did more bench reps than anyone at the combine, 42. I saw him play a lot in college and once in person and he was always hard to handle. Led the nation in tackles by DT last year with over 100. So ya, I am pretty happy with this pick.
  19. After the 1st rnd draft they had each of the NFL network hosts name a team that had the best round, Casserly picked the Bills. The Allen pick generated a wide difference of opinions, but Casserly was a scout with the Skins and then a GM for 16 years and has 3 SB rings so I will take his over the former players and sports personalities.
  20. think he got picked already. never mind I am wrong.
  21. I really like the pick, would have been happy with Crosby who can play T or G as well and probably a bigger need. Philips is 2nd rnd talent at the end of the 3rd. Good job.
  22. Wrestlers make good lineman, McD will love this guy.
