  1. Of all the great moments today thus far, the greatest is watching Rousseau continue to dominate. The idea of having an impact DE in the first year of his ROOKIE contract is unbelievably exciting.
  2. Very cool. Blatant rip-off of another QB and Team's original idea. Let's do that instead of coming up with something creative on our own.
  3. Go back and read the last line of my original post. Teams are going to have to make some tough decisions around final cuts. We're potentially going to have to cut Darryl Johnson simply because our DE room is packed. He's a good player. I don't think it's a reach to say that some other team out there has a good young CB room and is willing to cut an expensive veteran. Nobody knows who that will be yet, so I can't tell you specific players. Nobody currently on the waivers.
  4. If Tre White misses any games, our starting CBs look like this: CB1: Levi Wallace CB2: Dane Jackson Nickle: Taron Johnson / Siran Neal Depth: Cam Lewis, Rachad Wildgoose, Nick McCloud, Olalljah Griffin This is an easy answer for me, but I'm curious if everyone feels the same. If I'm the Bills, I'm picking up a solid vet CB who hits waivers on final roster cuts.
  5. 40% of the message board must not know how the salary cap and waiver system works.
  6. We can easily eliminate a few guys from your list: Addison won't be cut. He is owed $8.1M this year. He counts as an $8.05 dead cap hit if we cut him. Solid vet. Jerry Hughes is our best pass rusher. Zero chance he gets cut. Groot is a 1st round rookie and has been great. Zero chance. Epenesa has looked solid and is a 2nd year player on rookie deal. Zero Chance. Obada is cheap, has looked great, and has positional flexibility for $1.5M. He won't be cut. Basham is a 2nd round rookie and can play DT and DE, which is valuable. He won't be cut, but might not dress. That leaves 2 options: - Cut Johnson, who is a great special teamer and decent depth - Keep 7 guys, two of which can play inside and out. I think it will be this one.
  7. This one might make a few people angry, but Jake Fromm. Apart from the one throw, he looked miserably lost out there. No pocket awareness, missing easy throws against fourth stringers… I’m out on him. Davis Webb showed a lot more and rendered Fromm an easy cut.
  8. Well, you don’t have to worry about it because he signed with the Eagles for $4M. Those saying he’s overrated were apparently right. End thread.
  9. Anchor Bar is universally known as a joke of a wing spot. Terrible wings... good marketing. Duffs is good, but you need more than one legitimate option on the poll.
  10. I'm happy to see that Steven Nelson has deleted his Twitter. The primary reason why I didn't want him is his loud mouth on Twitter. He is the epitome of a complainer. Great player, but really, really doesn't seem like a "process" guy. If the Bills do a deal with him, I'd like to see it 1-2 years, maximum.
  11. At this point, unless he’s taking a pay cut and it’s for less than a 5th, I don’t want it. No idea why everyone has been clamoring for an expensive, slow, old tight end who can’t block. Spend the money elsewhere and keep the picks.
  12. This is a skewed stat. That's why people disagree. Edmunds is unbelievably talented. He's one of the fastest linebackers in the league. He has played 15 to 16 games every season at the MLB position on a team where we get run on a lot. OF COURSE HE'S GOING TO PICK UP A LOT OF TACKLES FOR NO GAIN OR LOSS. He also takes a lot of wrong angles and hurts the team badly when he gets juked out of his shoes multiple times a game. None of that is counted in this statistic. You're telling one side of the story. That's the problem.
  13. “this could impact the Bills for years” is a little dramatic, don’t you think? Teams miss on late 1st round and 2nd round picks all the time. It’s 50-50. What matters is a QB… and we have one.
  14. The thing we need most on this team is pass rush. Lets trade Hughes, our best past rusher.
  15. https://www.joincake.com/blog/rip-in-peace/ Welcome to the internet, my friend.
  16. Are we going to do the Josh Allen vs Patrick Mahomes debate for the next 15 years? They are both great QB's. Pat Mahomes has more super bowls and more MVP trophies. If Josh gets one of either, we can start comparing. Until then, just enjoy the ride. Do we really have to have a short-man complex about even our good players?
  17. It's ok if you're not an Edmunds fan, but calling him "slow" just shows you don't know anything. He ran a 4.54 40 and plays extremely fast. The problem is reading coverage and physicality.
  18. The fact that we didn't draft a single 1-Tech, didn't pursue one in FA, and barely looked in UDFA should tell you everything you need to know. I think he's going to surpass a lot of people's expectations. The guy has had bad injury luck, but when fully healthy, he has been great. It's always disappointing when people say "bust" or "he'll never be a starter" ... it's more likely he'll be a strong starter than a bench player or cut.
  19. Here's the link, for those who .... actually want to read the article this thread is about: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/05/19/jim-mcmahon-bill-belichicks-a-lying-piece-of-sh-t/
  20. The main reason I don't like this statistic is it doesn't account for how good/bad a team is offensively. When Andy Reed goes for it on 4th and 5 with Pat Mahomes and throws to Travis Kelce or Tyreek Hill... is that aggressive? When Dick Jauron goes for it on 4th and 3 with JP Losman throwing to Josh Reed and Robert Royal ... is that less aggressive? Of course McDermott, Andy Reid, etc. are going to seem more "aggressive" when they have Offenses that they have faith in. Remember when everyone said McDermott was way too old school and wanted to run too much and played like a wimp? That was fun. This is exactly why statistics are garbage.
  21. This would have been great for the Patriots if they didn't already give Nelson Agholor, Kendrick Bourne, Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry contracts that add up to $41 Million per year. LOLLLLLLLLLLLL
  22. I have always like the Saints. Back in the Aaron Brooks years, they were always exciting to watch, but stunk. Cool uniforms, cool city, easy to root for during the Katrina years. Then Drew Brees came along and made them more fun to watch and he's a likeable guy as well. If my Bills fandom is a 10, Saints are about a 3, but every other team is a 2 or less.
