  1. guys - please there's a huge thread:
  2. For anyone doubting Beane's craftiness, remember that: - Beane signed McCarron to a 2 year deal for $10M. - McCarron had a decent pre-season game or two, then got injured. - Beane traded McCarron same season to the Raiders and got a 5th round pick. - McCarron was released 1 year later on that same deal by the Raiders. Free 5th round pick for a street free agent that only had a cup of coffee with the Bills.
  3. One comment on this, then back to Bernard discussion. I don’t think it’s fair to say they voluntarily downgraded at QB. They benched Carr at the end of the season because he was imploding and Carr openly expressed his frustration and desire to leave. It was clear as day he had run his course in Oakland after nearly a decade there.
  4. A few nice clips of his run fills here: https://x.com/cover1/status/1704230868594663547?s=46&t=E40WAbu8GsA_XsQdsioRYw
  5. Can we kill this thread? There’s a better thread that actually talks about his play and gives him praise, which he deserves after the first two weeks.
  6. I see a lot of people talking about his size like he’s tiny. Roquan Smith is 6’1” 232. Fred Warner is 6’3” 230. Those are arguably the two best linebackers in the league. Bernard is 6’1” 225 … we just need to get used to guys who don’t look like a pterodactyl playing ILB. It hasn’t been a bad thing thus far.
  7. How wrong were all of us about this guy?? - Led the team in tackles Week 1 and Week 2. - Huge interception Week 2 and a nice PBU. - Looked solid in coverage, redirecting routes and erasing short gains. - Surprisingly good in run fills both weeks. Quick trigger and getting downhill fast. Sure tackler. I don’t think any of us saw this coming, but a HUGE development if what we’re seeing early continues.
  8. This is a great take. The most likely reason for his regression was definitely a random hit in the Packers game which made him lose confidence. Anyone saying it was the torn UCL in his throwing arm is a fool.
  9. She fits the size we’ve been targeting in the third round. GIT ER DONE BEAN!
  10. As one Mandy Glab haterz, I hope the Bills use this as an opportunity to replace her with someone talented or at least a little less annoying.
  11. It’s literally week 1.
  12. This would be an elite move paired with a trench coat and sunglasses
  13. Milano was an All-Pro and can be a game wrecker… Von is a hall of famer… Are they not enough?
  14. Id like to officially throw “bend but don’t break” defense in the same trash pile as “blue collar, high motor defensive ends” like Chris Kelsey and Ryan Denney.
  15. All I can say… he must be significantly worse than we all thought. A second round defensive end with two cheap years left with ANY talent gets much more in return.
  16. Assuming this is a “we can’t keep missing on picks” thread in disguise. It makes it harder to win if we miss draft picks, but I’d like you to name another team with a top 3 QB whose window was closed while that player was playing at a top 3 level. There isn’t one. They compete every year.
  17. Ok, so I know we have Dawson Knox and Dalton Kincaid and Quintin Morris but …. Zach Ertz? 100 page thread or we riot!
  18. I don’t think that’s the reason for the discourse. The reason he got people riled up is there was a huge contingent of Bills fans and Media analysts who swore he was elite, but many people disagreed. It didn’t matter how many times he whiffed or what Beane said when he was gone, many fans seemed brainwashed by his measurables, age, and draft pedigree, rather than his on-field production. I’m happy he got paid and I’m also happy we didn’t pay him. It’s both and yesterday’s whiff was a nice reminder.
  19. Wait a sec… This doesn’t fit the narrative that Brandon Beane hates O-Linemen.
  20. I’d love to see us trade for Josh Jones. Perfect swing tackle with potential to be the outright starter at RT. https://www.revengeofthebirds.com/platform/amp/2023/5/29/23741224/josh-jones-and-his-unknown-future-with-cardinals
  21. Someone call Brandon Beane, we got a new GM available to start immediately.
  22. Ah, revisionist history after one bad preseason game, fun. Ok, let’s go back in time. At the beginning of last season, did you feel comfortable having AJ Epenesa as your starting Defensive End across from Groot with Boogie and Shaq as backups? Sure you did…. and I’m sure everyone also thought signing an expensive Right Tackle and sending our 3rd round pick, who showed upside in his rookie year, right to the bench. Who needs a half of fame DE when you can have Epenesa as your starter coming off 2.5 sacks his first two years? Beane made the right move, it just didn’t work out because Brown didn’t take a step and Von got hurt. Don’t play this stupid revisionist history game.
  23. This is more an overreaction to the Bengals playoff game that people are still butthurt by. The Bills were an excellent team for the majority of last year, then had a ton of injuries. They got better in the off-season in all but one position. Anyone viewing them as Declining is stuck in the early 2000’s and bracing for sadness.
  24. Nice to see Shorter, Kincaid, and Torrence looking good. The rest of the team… yikes. The said, this game was a huge success because Doyle was the only player to go down with a significant injury.
