Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme
LABILLBACKER replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Then we better start drafting OL in the first 3 rounds rather than incessantly draft defensive players over olineman. We still struggle to run block and Josh was running for his life yesterday. -
Beat me to it.....

Just once I want us to win a close game where weather is an issue. 2 birds, 1 stone.

Dane and Tre need to return soon. Enough is enough.

So he has a separate employee designated to burn 3 time outs in the 3rd quarter. Got it -
I have a troubled suspicion that Josh will never receive the protection from the NFL like Brady did. We had about 8-10 different ways to win that stupid heat stroke game yesterday.

Cowherd killing Bills coaching in his monologue
LABILLBACKER replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
Newsflash, Cowherd is right and Trent Dilfer totally agreed with him. McD in his entire tenure at Buffalo has failed to develop a running game. He expects JA to be 100% of the offense and eventually he'll get hurt. -
Yesterday's wet bulb index was close to 100. The NFL doesn't care about anything but money & ratings. Why do you think they shoved Tua back out there after he clearly suffered a concussion. Back issues my ass. Every year the NFL choreographed games. Yesterday was no different. Until someone dies they'll continue to bend their contrived safety rules.

Kudos to Defense - The Offense is What Failed
LABILLBACKER replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
You could argue 30 pts. Milano, Gabe, Isaiah=21 Missed fg, 2 spikes =9 And that doesn't include the gifted td on Devin/Dion wiffing their block resulting in the fumble. -

The organization has invested more on the defensive side over the years so it's perfectly justifiable to expect more from them. The offense last season had 3 great fails in the regular season to Pittsburgh, Jacksonville and NE. But once we enter the playoffs, it's been the defense that has bounced us out against Houston and KC twice. -

Milano dropping an easy pic6 and that 3rd & 22 fail might disagree. But yes the defense out played the offense. The only winner yesterday was the heat. -
This place is so cathartic after losses.

Mac is such a little B....he won't last long in chowdville. -

I couldn't agree more. Stop burning early time outs in non emergency situations. This is getting ridiculous. Belichick always keeps 3 in his pocket late in a game. But unfortunately that's Sean's style and I doubt he ever changes. Very frustrating watching early TO's disappear or failed challenges. -

This is not only true but it's slowly becoming a dangerous trend. 7 straight one possession loses is hardly an anomaly. It can be because of weather, coaching, injuries or just plain poor execution by the players. This team absolutely will need a couple close "character building wins" this season. We can't just be expected to knock people out every week like Tyson (as Cowherd says). -
Gonna state the obvious here but.......

Newsflash.....Firebaugh (San Juaquin Valley) doesn't get anywhere near as humid as Miami. -
We don't have the mentality to win close games
LABILLBACKER replied to UKBillFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah when 6 starting defensive players are out, you're probably going to lose. Yes we were the better team and left a ton of points off the field, but with losing Micah this team just didn't have it's usual mojo. -
Dorsey's headset is day to day.

You shouldn't be after watching 13 Seconds.
-
1. Milano butchering pic6 2. Gabe dropping TD 3. Poor footwork skips Dirty throw Honorable Mention Missed fg, 2 missed spikes, Devin/ Dion wishing on blitz 27-30 pts right there.
-
I think most Bills fans were doing the same thing with their remotes. So I guess we're all unhinged. I'd rather have a coach with a little passion than a robot clapping on the sidelines.

Tua clears Concussion Protocol in 30 minutes.....
LABILLBACKER replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is a sham. In a big game ratings and advertising revenue supercedes their contrived protocols. The NFL dictates all. -

Maybe McD has a bunch of morons up in the booth telling him to throw the flag (or not). Maybe he needs to hire a smarter set of eyes upstairs. What a novel idea when you're something like 1-26 in challenges. Just sayin if something is wrong, fix it. -

0-7 isn't an anomaly or trend. It clearly validates Sean's struggles in close games. 13 seconds was absolutely inexcusable and indefensible. I will always admire McD for his vision in bringing culture and process to Buffalo. But between blown challenges and strategy mishaps, he will never be remarkable in game time decisions. This has haunted him his whole career.
