  1. Yes it is a brutal business. We all love what Beasley brought but we felt the same about Robert Woods and John Brown. In life you either get too expensive or too old. There's alot of fast wrs in this draft who might actually help dig us out of YAC last place.
  2. Jameson Williams @ 25 Alec Pierce @ 166
  3. Yup, he's done. This might bode well for Isaiah?
  4. Then he needs to swallow a little of his pride and level with his players. They will respect him for it. You can't allow this epic mistake(s) to just fester. Part of the process is being honest with your players, well beyond a vague cliche.
  5. .....this is true, but they do execute decisions. They call plays. If the plays put the team in a poor position to succeed then their execution should be criticized. It's not like this is the first or second time he's struggled in a high leverage (playoff) situation. Love everything about McD except this.
  6. His idea of owning it is repeating the same tired cliche. "It starts with me and execution". At this point I don't care anymore. It's not going to bring back 13 seconds. The players know there were coaching mistakes and all we can do now is hope they don't repeat?
  7. 2 perfect playoff games this last season with an avg rating of nearly 150. Maybe someday the defense will join in?
  8. Already 10 guys under 4.40 .....Combine record
  9. There better be some fast CB's to keep up with these guys.
  10. "Hey Now".....
  11. Yeah, how did we go from 50 to 40 by the end of the post?.....In all seriousness we need to go heavy offense in FA and the draft. McB had their 2 drafts of high defensive picks. Time to flip the script. If a great pass rusher comes along at a reasonable contract, go get him. But full steam ahead on offensive. I'd have no issues with guys like Gronk or Patterson. I'd draft Williams @ 25 if there and Breece Hall day 2. Barkley or McCaffrey is rolling the dice injury wise?
  12. Drafting Jameson Williams would make me and Josh very happy. 😀
  13. Well this guy won't be around in the 6th so you either do it or you don't.
  14. How many 5th round picks actually even make the team. This guy could be a 10 year Moorman type investment.
  15. We basically lost the Steeler game because of Haack. And in week 17 Haack had punts of 28, 22 & 7, while the Jets punter averaged 50 yards. This Araiza kid is supposed to be pretty amazing. I realize you can use the argument that our offense is so good, do we really need a great punter? A 4th might be a little rich but if he's there in the early 5th, I'd grab him. We're moving on from Haack and you can train Araiza to hold Bass's kicks. If Bass got hurt, Araiza can also kick fgs.
  16. That right price will be 7M minimum. Take all the Sanders money and go get homeboy.
  17. Good..... maybe he's finally realizing the Tremaine just isn't making enough impact plays. Regardless of his 1st round pedigree. The old and stale arguments (excuses) of raw youth, alternate pro bowls and "what he's asked to do" just don't carry weight anymore. If McB decides to trade Tremaine, it would usher in a new era of "expediting" player evaluation and production.
  18. Because it can go on for an hour. Have you seen some of these college OT's. Terrible idea considering the defense's are already exhausted. The rules committee will say if the team with the first possession scores a td, the other team will be given an opportunity to match. If they do match, then the game Immediately becomes sudden death. Probably takes less than 10 minutes.
  19. "If execution has taught us nothing else, it's that to execute an execution like that is quite an execution ".
  20. Exactly. I've never been a Edmunds fan but at 8-9 M/ yr I could tolerate watching him backpedal into open field. He's never going to accept less than the 12.7 we're paying him this season so it's probably moot.
  21. Oh God yeah, Linderbaum Immediately replaces Morse. And if Bates signs a decent deal we should be set.
  22. I like Harry but I wouldn't do anything heroic on a long term deal. Don't know what kinda money Harry will expect? He's kinda between a 1T and a 3T. Will he ever reach a level Kyle did? Or do we just draft Davis and call it a day? Lotta questions involving Harry?
  23. Just Burks or Williams if they drop. Dean is becoming intriguing especially if TE is traded? And then there's Jermaine Johnson? Alot will change after the combine.
  24. I don't know. If I could find a trade partner willing to take on that 12.7 for a 3rd round pick, I'd say it's time to move on. Hearing alot of good things from an "instinct" perspective on Nakobe Dean. Realistically after his 5th season we're not re-signing Tremaine to a 14-15M/yr deal which is what he'll want. I agree besides Ed Oliver, we need our front 4 to really step up. I don't know where it's going to come from? But this argument that the front 4 has held TE back is highly unlikely. Read Tremaine's college scouting report and match it up with the deficiencies we seen these last couple years. It's almost verbatim.
  25. I gotta newsflash for ya. He'll want a minimum of 7 million. Besides it's highly unlikely he'll play for anyone but tommy.
