  1. You're not being a defeatist...you're being a realist.
  2. Actually letting Tremaine walk and saving 18+ might be the easiest decision of Beanes career. Just sign Vander Esch to a 2/14 deal and start focusing on the offense.
  3. If Carr goes to NYJ and Lamar goes to Mia, all bets are off. We'll be in a dogfight every year. Our first window was 20-22. Now we'll have to restructure this team.
  4. I'm 100% down for Benford taking over Poyer's position and I'm sure there will be some growing pains. But it's probably a guarantee that this will be Micah's last season. Somewhere in the draft (hopefully not in the first 3 rounds) McD is grabbing a safety.
  5. Pretty sad when the only hope we have is a pro athlete deciding he wants to play hard because it's a contract year.
  6. I'm so proud of my fellow fans. I've waited years for this moment. No one circles the liquor store like the Buffalo Bills.
  7. Yes, this should be our strategy going forward. There's just one little problem. Tell that to a defensive HC who insists on using his top picks on defense. Clearly Beane has no authority over McDermott. Terry is worried about his wife. This will be a disastrous rinse and repeat cycle for awhile.
  8. No....I want my wr2 to be on a rookie contract. We're probably only getting 2 more good years out of Diggs.
  9. I see Davis and Oliver very similar. Capable of a big game here & there but no consistency at all. Love to trade both but would teams give you much? Probably not what our FO would expect.
  10. I doubt he flips a switch for his contract year. He's a career 54% catch rate guy who is inconsistent with focus lapses. 9 drops and a 51% rate this year are god awful numbers. That 4 td KC game was a complete outlier. I honestly think the organization is going to slide him into a wr3 role and his targets will reflect that. We'll have to find our wr2 somewhere else.
  11. I don't see Davis ever getting WR2 targets again. We'll draft or sign at least 2 wrs who will surpass him. Along with Shakir absorbing his targets too.
  12. He never was the problem. The problem is Dorsey. The problem is stone hands receivers like Gabe. The problem is scrub olineman like Brown & Q getting Josh's arm torn off. Josh haters are so adorably stupid.
  13. I sure hope we as fans don't just settle for continuity. We don't just accept 10+ win seasons only to get bounced long before we sniff a SB. And if the Pegulas are somewhat clueless and Terry is distracted over Kim's condition, that only further protects McB. They may get another 2-3 year pass playing Marty ball before someone gets fed up. They absolutely can't screw up draft or FA picks anymore.
  14. Completely agree. The back injury has nothing to do with how slow Spencer's feet are. RG is probably his only hope of staying on a roster but you don't normally want a 6-8 guy playing Guard. Unfortunately I think they must delegate him to backup for the next 2 years.
  15. This FO makes a career finding DE's that don't live up to their draft slots.
  16. Our 3 biggest obstacles going forward will be Mia, KC & Cincy.
  17. If we ever get rid of Frazier, Elam will become more valuable in a man press scheme. Still would've preferred a wr last year in that spot.
  18. Why was Kumerow even here? Maybe he can find a cave with Aaron.
  19. No to Ramsey but I'll take Donald off their hands for a discounted deal. Reunite him & Von and trade Ed. Rams are clearly rebuilding.
  20. We're paying 53M to a TE who we hardly throw to anymore. There is no way in hell I'm wasting a 1st round pick on a TE unless he can play RT and be eligible. Repeat after me everyone. We need OL We need WRS
  21. If I'm Beane I'm firing half my scouting dept. It's brutal to see us swing and miss on so many draft picks these last 5 years. And frankly most of our FA acquisitions haven't been earth shattering. But even a moron knows you start by building a dominant OL around Josh. In 5 years we've drafted 2 olineman in the first 3 rounds. Ford was a bust and Brown probably will be too. Maybe the true problem with the Bills organization is how they incentivize their scouts.
  22. For a right handed golfer the majority of stress from the swing and impact is absorbed by the left arm/ elbow. Now the right shoulder drives through the swing. The right elbow is hardly affected.
  23. If the OL is not getting fixed by spending 12M/ yr on Henry. Would the OL be any less fixed spending 2M on Bijan? I personally don't want either but at least with Robinson he cost controlled for 5 years. Eventually Beane's gotta run into some good drafted olineman? Even a blind squirrel finds a nut occassionally.
  24. Someone explain to OP that 1st round pick has substantially more allocation points than a 6th or 7th round pick. The offensive players brought in from FA are dumpster dives. This math doesn't work. It's not just quantity, it's quality from 1st round draft picks to bottom of the barrel FA pick ups.
  25. Completely agree....and that Watson contract is an absolute outlier. You may see guys get up to 50M, but that percentage of guarantee is not happening anytime soon. Lamar not having an agent is also a big mistake.
