  1. Yeah Paris will be long gone by 15 or so. Not a fan of moving Dion yet. Slide Bates over to LG and both Dawkins & Bates play improves. We're probably only getting one more year out of Morse. Let Spencer experiment at RG and sign Taylor (Jags) for RT. Love moving Benford to SS. Hate keeping Tremaine @20M. Draft heavy on OL/WR.
  2. Well said. Our defense instead of generating turnovers, it's like we wait for an overthrow int. or an unforced fumble. We never jump a route or tackle someone so hard the ball pops out. We're just not coached to be a ball hawking team. All Leslie expects is backpedal into your assigned zones and hope for front 4 pressure that never comes.
  3. Exactly, we have to rebuild the OL before we worry about RB's. OL, WR's and maybe 1 TE should be the early round priorities.
  4. Our defense always folds in the playoffs. You can set your watch to it. Frazier should've been fired after 13 seconds. Dragging him out there another year just shows the issues with this staff.
  5. I also agree with Simon's idea of returning Bates to LG which also made Dion better. Then experiment with Spencer at RG. Go out and sign Taylor at RT or draft a T early. We'll also need to draft a C early as this likely will be Morse's last year.
  6. In reality and with hindsight we should've probably fired McD after 13 seconds and promote Daboll as HC.
  7. I would keep Beane as I feel the majority of the defensive failed picks were influenced by McDermott. I'm 100% convinced we'll never sniff a SB with him at the helm. He's as close to being Marty Schottenheimer as a person can be. I'd give Josh over to Sean Payton who would bring offensive stability. Let Payton hand pick his OC. Would've loved Jim Schwartz but too late on that. Brian Flores would bring an aggressive edge (more press) to our defense. Nothing against McD's amazing character based culture but his game strategy, time management and personnel errors can no longer be ignored.
  8. This is 100% true. One of the great advantages of having an offensive HC is you don't have to worry about changing systems.
  9. I think it's realistic we get 3 very good seasons with Tre. It's completely expected for an athlete being somewhat tentative returning from an ACL. Tre at 95% is substantially better than anything you're going to get from Dane or Cam. And maybe Elam blows up and can take over that CB1 slot.
  10. It's not so much an aversion for OL. It's McDermott's need for constant defensive affirmation. A defensive HC will always put defense ahead of anything else. If Sean doesn't pull his head out of his ass and tell Beane to go hard OL/WR this offseason then they'll lose the locker room. Josh and Diggs have every right to be pissed.
  11. Yes it was an unbelievably brutal year. You forgot our coaches still suck. There that should complete the list.
  12. I agree. Damar was a nice short-term replacement for Micah but he's not a starter. I think Benford would make a great strong safety. Wasn't thrilled with the idea of Tre transitioning to S. Micah will be ready to go by September.
  13. Allen, Rodgers & Brady in the same division. Insane
  14. Rice will be gone by pick 35.
  15. Isn't the whole idea of rotating so many DL players so that you can minimize injuries. Well I guess that doesn't work either.
  16. The_Dude was classic. Some very good posters have disappeared. What happened to Hapless?
  17. We just need a season without all the drama. Shootings, blizzards, stars on IR, Damar almost dies on the field. I think if the Bengals has experienced all that, the roles would've been reversed. But the one terrifying thing that is guaranteed returning next season is our HC & Coordinators.
  18. No, we either go OL or WR @ 27. If McDermott wants defensive players he can wait till the 5th round.
  19. If we're never going to prioritize the run game, at least we might have a fast home run threat in Cook who could occassional take a 30 yard run to the house. I'm betting they keep Hines and restructure his contract, then draft a late round guy to compete.
  20. We blew out Salgado. That should immediately translate to a SB. I just can't fathom the organization keeping both coordinators, especially Frazier.
  21. Actually it's probably closer to 5 years straight. McD has completely ignored the OL during his tenure while we watch yearly defensive acquisitions blow.
  22. Totally agree. No way I ever want to see Spencer at RT. Slide him over to RG and sign Juwan Taylor at RT. Draft a LG and a C and hope you can get 1 more year out of Morse. Or slide Bates to C if Morse retires? Even Boettger wouldn't put up a 49 at LG.
  23. No he's not a playmaker. He accumulates lots of tackles and has the wingspan of Rodan. But does he ever make impact plays. Very rarely. Milano seems to make them every other week. Tremaine is going to want 18-20 and there's no way Beane's paying that. I think Poyer & Tremaine are both gone. And Oliver might be gone next year.
  24. They prioritize EVERYTHING over offense
  25. We'll go dumpster diving behind the Titans facility because that Saffold/ Quessenberry combo was so dynamic.
