Which one was worse ? 13 seconds or Cinci fail ?
LABILLBACKER replied to Repulsif's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unfortunately I think our first SB window (21 & 22) has ended. Josh's contract begins. Who knows how productive Tre, Von and Micah are after their injuries? After Diggs, the offensive pantry is empty. Our stubborn coaches can't be trusted in game situations. I'm sure they'll be a 2nd window in a couple years but it will require many things beginning with a full commitment to surrounding Josh with everything. Starting with an OL and rookie contract wrs. -
Bill Parcells says Josh Allen needs help
LABILLBACKER replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
It didn't matter whether they lost or gained weight. Neither can get to the qb. They're just not good enough. The Bills have had a substantially below average OL since McD took over 6 years ago. I think the last thing he values on this team is OL. -
That's probably appropriate. The whole season was riddled with unfortunate events.

So called "Dominant" defenses don't get thrown around like rag dolls every year in the playoffs. This idea that we somehow have a top 10 defense during the regular season was a masquerade. At this point F the defense. Put 100% of your draft and resources into surrounding your #1 asset. It's not like we're going to stop anyone defensively in the playoffs, ever.

Bill Parcells says Josh Allen needs help
LABILLBACKER replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
This organization (McBeane) has failed Josh in every way you can handcuff a generational qb. They've wasted 6 years failing to build a decent OL. They failed finding Josh a capable RB. They have nothing at WR past a frustrated Diggs. I took nearly 3 years for Knox to stop dropping balls. Meanwhile McDermott's defense might be one of the most over- rated defenses ever. After Miller & Milano it's a wasteland. So far no impact coaches fired. It's status qou time in Buffalo. Just tell JA to go out there next season and do it all. What could possibly go wrong.- 82 replies

Bills Coaching Staff Changes Thread

The only slight chance at a SB would involve Frazier & Dorsey leaving. -
Why isn't Frazier interviewing for Head Coaching positions?
LABILLBACKER replied to fasteddie's topic in The Stadium Wall
God we could only hope. If he returns I will lose it. With old age also comes stubborn behavior. -
I agree that Tre's future is kind of a mystery right now. He didn't return from the acl like we'd hoped. We need more press man CB's beyond Elam. I think Frazier's gone and hopefully whoever takes his place values press man coverage at a substantially higher snap percentage. The slot for Tre is not a terrible idea.

Voorhees will not be there after the 2nd round.
-
I would have no issues going wr at 27. I like the size and speed of Rice or Flowers. Go OL next 2 rounds.
-
We're getting the bare minimum from the coaches. Kromer and Washington didn't do squat this year.
-
I would permanently say goodbye to Jaquon and keep Marlowe as cheap depth. I still think Hamlin will play next year.

Should we trade Ed Oliver?
LABILLBACKER replied to Floridagatorsbuffalobills's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have only 3 elite players on this roster. Allen, Diggs and Milano. Anyone else is fair game. -

Should we trade Ed Oliver?
LABILLBACKER replied to Floridagatorsbuffalobills's topic in The Stadium Wall
In a heartbeat. Was really hoping Ed would've worked out but I think his days are numbered. He would've made a good DE on a 3-4 defense but he's too small for the pressure needed to make this stupid Tampa2 zone halfway viable. He's just too inconsistent. -
Bills Player Rookie Playing Time in 2022 Season
LABILLBACKER replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Would've been nice to use Bernard's pick on an olineman. They way they buried Cook, Hines, Elam and Shakir was pure stupidity. -
Old Buffalo Bills Message Board

Yup....an old member of the carnage that was BBMB. TBD is more civilized, most of the time. Wyo, Golden Wheels, Perfect Spiral....good times. -
Mel Kiper is back and you won’t like it
LABILLBACKER replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cool, we're moving to 3-4 defense. -
We'll use zone to draft.
-
Why didn't we get this option? I would've vote there. Considering McD is insistent on the defensive picks I blame Beane less. This organization is soft and will likely keep status qou on all coaches and strategic philosophy. Hope everyone enjoys Sean Schottenheimer.
-
Frazier's absolute stubborn philosophy of never changing or adjusting his defense to his opponent should've been his downfall ages ago. If he's allowed to coach again this season it will be more predictable wide open wrs sitting in his Tampa 2 zone.

Great write up OP. Unfortunately it looks like beach chairs should've stayed on the beach. Give Dawkins 1 more year @ LT to improve from this season. I really like putting Bates back to LG. Saffold has to go and Brown cannot start anymore at RT. Pocic, Risner and especially Taylor would anchor the right side. We'd have to do some serious cap shuffling.

The misuse of Cook and Hines was borderline criminal
LABILLBACKER replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cook, Hines, Shakir, Elam....it's one thing not using a player properly...it's another not using them at all. These 4 should've had double the snaps they saw. This philosophy of slowly coddling a player into your system is complete BS. Reed used Toney immediately.
