  1. The key words are "as yet". Of course we celebrate the job Sean did to dig us out of 17 yrs of pain. And Brandon was amazing finding Josh & Diggs. But after that there's this huge drop off. Beane's picks have been mostly disappointing. Sean's in- game strategy is terrible. Most of our wins are because JA has to do something heroic. How do you not identify Josh as your best generational player and not build a dominant offense around him? With each passing year and early playoff exit, the "good will" these 2 men have built up will disappear. Enjoy your adorable Marty Schottenheimer seasons. That should be fun.
  2. Anyone who thinks McD isn't in control of defensive draft picks is incredibly naive.
  3. The amount of Bills fans who have suddenly accepted a good regular season as the ultimate goal is growing. I'm seeing it from several long time posters. "Sean get me 10+ and maybe a division and I'm good"..... the goal should be championship or bust. If some of you are waiting for Sean to do exactly what Andy did, you might be waiting awhile. When all these rankings (3rd, 5th, 8th, 21st, 46th) translate to getting to a SB, call me.
  4. He should be on edge. He has to know this might be his most important draft. We either focus on offense or we don't.
  5. Nope....either take Bijan if he falls or sign Perine 2/6M. Fournette will want 7+. Or just stick with Hines as your RB2/ KR and find a cheap udfa.
  6. Yeah we're so spoiled and tired of carrying around all those Lombardis. If you want to actually witness an "entitled" fanbase, take a drive up to NE.
  7. Brisset could win you a game or two. There's nothing about Keenum, Tribisky or Mariota that excites me. Darnold would be my 1st choice but he'd also be too pricey.
  8. Knox's quiet first half I think was more a product of Dorsey asking him to block more. It was a bad strategy. If your OL is awful then get better olineman. Don't ask Dawson to be your 6th olineman because Spencer & Q are getting burned constantly.
  9. The reason you don't lock up or extend players like Edmunds, Poyer, Oliver & Gabe is because they're not playing at a high enough level for success or in Po's case age + injuries. This organization has done some dumb things, but letting these 4 walk is not one of them.
  10. They are all culpable for the playoff exits. Frazier needed to be better at in game adjustments and aggressiveness. McD needed to be a HC and make sure your assistants have their crap together (Farwell / 13 sec). And Beane can't live on the good will of Allen/ Diggs forever. He needs to completely re-evaluate his entire scouting department. It's not all Frazier's fault. McB & Dorsey need to step it up. No one is handing out mini Lombardis for winning the regular season.
  11. Exactly....having a top 5/10 defense in the regular season translates to squat. We saw how worthless those 70 sacks were to Philly. KC never has a top 5 D yet every year in the playoffs Jones in getting key sacks or Bolton is scooping up fumbles. It's about getting the key play at the right moment. And after Taron's pic6, it's been a wasteland of nothing for 4 years.
  12. I didn't ask for dbs playing 12 yards off the receiver?
  13. Good!....Poyer is getting up there in age and the injuries are increasing. Edmunds just doesn't generate big plays. No way we're keeping either nor should we. Hopefully Holcomb can generate a more aggressive style of this "bend don't break" nonsense. Every playoffs we break. Wish Leslie the best but he's not coming back.
  14. You're not being a defeatist...you're being a realist.
  15. Actually letting Tremaine walk and saving 18+ might be the easiest decision of Beanes career. Just sign Vander Esch to a 2/14 deal and start focusing on the offense.
  16. If Carr goes to NYJ and Lamar goes to Mia, all bets are off. We'll be in a dogfight every year. Our first window was 20-22. Now we'll have to restructure this team.
  17. I'm 100% down for Benford taking over Poyer's position and I'm sure there will be some growing pains. But it's probably a guarantee that this will be Micah's last season. Somewhere in the draft (hopefully not in the first 3 rounds) McD is grabbing a safety.
  18. Pretty sad when the only hope we have is a pro athlete deciding he wants to play hard because it's a contract year.
  19. I'm so proud of my fellow fans. I've waited years for this moment. No one circles the liquor store like the Buffalo Bills.
  20. Yes, this should be our strategy going forward. There's just one little problem. Tell that to a defensive HC who insists on using his top picks on defense. Clearly Beane has no authority over McDermott. Terry is worried about his wife. This will be a disastrous rinse and repeat cycle for awhile.
  21. No....I want my wr2 to be on a rookie contract. We're probably only getting 2 more good years out of Diggs.
  22. I see Davis and Oliver very similar. Capable of a big game here & there but no consistency at all. Love to trade both but would teams give you much? Probably not what our FO would expect.
  23. I doubt he flips a switch for his contract year. He's a career 54% catch rate guy who is inconsistent with focus lapses. 9 drops and a 51% rate this year are god awful numbers. That 4 td KC game was a complete outlier. I honestly think the organization is going to slide him into a wr3 role and his targets will reflect that. We'll have to find our wr2 somewhere else.
  24. I don't see Davis ever getting WR2 targets again. We'll draft or sign at least 2 wrs who will surpass him. Along with Shakir absorbing his targets too.
